10/11/2025: We're returning after years, and what a wonderful atmosphere we felt upon arrival. The friendliness, the excellent food, and the impeccable service. Our dinner was in the "Cagnacci room," surrounded by beautiful paintings, seated at a lovely table with a comfortable period sofa. Special mention goes to the wide selection of pastas, cheeses, and vegetarian side dishes, including the "giardiniera," the house's pickled vegetables, delicious for those of us who, even though we're from Romagna, don't eat meat. We had a truly wonderful time, and we'll be back soon.

11/12/2025: A pleasant discovery. A warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is extremely kind and attentive, without ever being overbearing. A menu with plenty of room for fresh pasta and meat. Good-quality ingredients and a cuisine that pays attention to the balance of flavors in each dish. A fair value for money. Definitely a place you'll happily return to time and time again.

09/12/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance, and given the number of cars outside, we didn't think we'd find a table. But the place is really big, so we were in luck. We managed to have lunch with an appetizer and a first course. The portions are generous and the dishes are delicious. Not to mention the price, which is excellent. Overall, I recommend it to everyone. We had the La Baracca appetizer and beef carpaccio, passatelli in capon broth, and strozzapreti with sausage and beans. Spectacular!!! Kudos to the owner, who we also spoke with. Very kind.

08/12/2025: A simply spectacular lunch! Passatelli with capon broth was like nothing I've ever tried before: excellent broth, delicious passatelli. The dishes were generous, and the waiters were courteous. And the price...: modest! I'll return as often as I can!

07/12/2025: We visited this restaurant for a birthday party, choosing the blind menu. The atmosphere is very welcoming, rustic yet elegant, and the service—after a little initial hesitation—proved professional and attentive throughout the evening. The first two vegetarian courses were well executed, but in a restaurant with a strong meat-focused identity, it would have been nice to find a balance, perhaps paired with a meat appetizer like hand-sliced ​​prosciutto or a small tartare. The wild boar plin pasta was one of the best dishes of the dinner. Some main courses were less convincing: the ossobuco, while visually appealing, was a bit stringy, while the pancetta was too fatty to be appreciated. Dessert was good, although the panna cotta with caramel and popcorn was a bit too sugary for our taste. Overall, the evening was enjoyable thanks to the ambiance, the service, and the interesting menu. With a little more attention to the variety and balance of the dishes, the experience could become truly excellent.

05/12/2025: I was in a hurry and only ordered a first course (tagliatelle with ragu) and a coffee. The tagliatelle were excellent, and the staff were polite and friendly. There was no pressure to order more, as is often the case at other places. The atmosphere was reminiscent of a Romagna trattoria, and the waitress was smiling and quick with her service.

08/12/2025: I booked a table specifying "anniversary." Upon arrival, I discovered we'd been placed at a table in the middle of the corridor opposite the first-floor entrance door, on the stairs. Amid the comings and goings of waiters and people going up and down, my chair was blocked by the man at the table behind me. Okay, I don't want to argue, but I wonder why they asked me to specify if it was a special occasion if they had to put me there, when there were other couples (one wearing jogging pants) at separate tables. After a 10-minute wait, we asked the waiter if he'd like to bring us menus. Another 5 minutes later, he finally brought them. We ordered an appetizer, two first courses, and two second courses. After bringing us the appetizer, he came to us to tell us that due to a kitchen error, we'd be served the second courses first and not the first courses. Who knows. I've been a customer of Lavatoio for years, and I've never had such a disappointing experience. Obviously, at the register, not a single euro was given a discount for the mix-up, and we weren't even offered a liqueur or anything else. I won't be returning. For a place that claims to be "where you can dine only with those who believe in fairy tales," my experience was more of a sad reality. Passatelli with truffle, mushrooms, and cheese was incredibly heavy—so much cheese, I didn't finish it; fish broth with way too much garlic that lingered in our throats until the next day; and a dessert sphere of chocolate that was incredibly heavy with a ton of cream underneath. I'm disappointed because I fondly remembered this place as a gem in the heart of Santarcangelo, worth returning to. Probably too many influencers going there these days, #gifted or #invited, and therefore too much advertising, and the magic, attention to detail, and customer service have been lost. What a shame.

09/12/2025: Unlucky day for the service. But patience is a must on Sundays. The first courses are excellent, with generous portions. We recommend splitting them between two people. The house wine is good, and the meat is second to none. Book in advance.

21/11/2025: Disappointment: it's no longer an osteria, it's a money-making machine. 3 hours to eat a first and second course, poor portions, average quality, and then the bill would be questionable. It used to be a trattoria where the hospitality was excellent, for example, at the end of the meal. Limoncello was offered. It's something else, now it's no longer there.

14/11/2025: Dinner with friends at this traditional meat restaurant. We started with an appetizer of cheeses accompanied by honey, jam, pears, grapes, and walnuts—a truly wonderful combination—and a soft and flavorful pumpkin tart. For main courses, my friends chose beef cheek with celeriac puree, while I ordered a skewer with vegetables. Personally, I found the meat a bit dry and the vegetables too raw for my taste, but obviously, this is a matter of personal preference. We were already full from dessert, but the staff was kind enough to offer us a tray of sweets: samples of cakes, biscuits, zabaglione cream, and almond biscotti, accompanied by two liqueurs, one limoncello and the other chocolate with a hint of anise. A warm and welcoming place, with very attentive and friendly waiters. I recommend booking.

08/12/2025: Courtesy and politeness are not the norm here. I went to this restaurant for lunch with my wife and daughter on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. When we asked if there was room, since we unfortunately hadn't made a reservation, the person who welcomed us literally pushed us out of the restaurant in an absolutely rude manner, claiming that since many of the staff were out sick, they couldn't see us. Granted, we didn't have a reservation, but there's no compromise on politeness and manners!

08/12/2025: I had lunch outside today, December 8, 2025, under a wonderful sun. The tagliatelle with ragù was excellent, to say the least. The baked potatoes were top-notch. I'll be back soon and often.

07/12/2025: We were welcomed even if without reservation and notwithstanding they being basically fully booked we were granted a table. Owner was exceptionally kind, service was spotless and food delicious. 5* extremely well deserved. Thanks !
