Food: Good but nothing exceptional
Price: Decent menu, prices too high; if they were SLIGHTLY lower, it would be top notch.
The only negative, which I reported to the cashier...
Waiting staff: Very kind, but... A little more empathy for the customer, a little more SMILE wouldn't hurt... too formal and serious!

Beautiful and original location. The only flaw was the bathrooms. The one near our table had no anteroom and wasn't separated for men and women. It was so crowded...
I hadn't been here for a year, and unfortunately, I found the food to have deteriorated: tasteless tagliatelle with ragù, mediocre strozzapreti with white ragù. Sausage and potatoes were nothing special. The cream soup was too cold, and the zuppa inglese was nothing special. Lambrusco was awful.
The price was too high for the value for money: two first courses, one second course for two, two d'esser pasta dishes, and a terrible wine.
An experience not to be repeated.

The first time we went to La Sangiovesa was 3 years ago and we have returned a few times since then. The menu changes seasonally and it's very rich. Recently we found out that they have an underground floor with a cave. Nice space for a group dinner or a romantic date.

A very beautiful, well-maintained, and welcoming historic venue.
Traditional dishes are perfectly prepared with attention to the raw materials, almost all of which are produced on-site.
