01/04/2024: Restaurant just outside the centre. Various appetizers, the mixed fried food is decent. The first courses, ciceri e tria and the orecchiette with meatballs are very good. The burrata with alice is decent. Service a little slow.

My experience was positive both for the fast, attentive and friendly service and for the quality of the food.
The doses are adequate, the preparations are careful and harmonious.

03/10/2023: In assoluto una delle migliori cene del mio soggiorno salentino, tanto da ritornarci subito la sera successiva, tanto eravamo rimasti soddisfatti.
Siamo stati consigliati dalla nostra titolare del b&b di Morciano di Leuca di provare questo locale, se eravamo in cerca della vera cucina del posto, ed aveva assolutamente ragione.
Nelle due serate in cui siamo andati, abbiamo provato piatti diversi (una menzione particolare al "Carosello", un insieme di antipasti uno più buono dell'altro, dalle polpette, ai fiori di zucca e ricotta col miele, alla bufala con marmellata di pere....la mia bocca ha ancora l'acquolina), e non siamo mai stati delusi. Il menù non è troppo ampio, e lo ritengo un punto di merito, soprattutto quando la qualità è così alta. Anche i primi sono di tutto rispetto, per non parlare delle bombette prese come secondo. Sapori che ancora ci sogniamo, peccato che la terza sera fosse quella della partenza, altrimenti avremmo fatto il tris.
Una menzione poi per il titolare Antonio e tutta la sua squadra: sempre cpn il sorriso, pronti a spiegare il piatto e consigliare, oltre ad avere una gentilezza che ormai non è scontata.
Il prezzo è più alto di quello di altre trattorie, ma assolutamente in linea, se non addirittura basso, se rapportato al menù ed alla assoluta qualità del cibo. Se capitate da quelle parti, fidatevi, e andate da Antonio!
29/09/2023: Went there on our last night in Salve and got somewhat disappointed. The food was average and the interior of the place also nothing special.
It's decent food, i just weren't impressed by the atmosphere.
The staff and service was good!

05/11/2023: Dopo diversi anni siamo ritornati in questo ristorante che ci ha sempre sorpreso positivamente. I piatti assaggiati, sempre ottimi e ben presentati, in questa cornice unica ed estremamente accattivante, hanno reso piacevole anche questa esperienza culinaria. Il servizio sembra leggermente peggiorato e meno attento alle esigenze dei clienti.
Ritorneremo presto.....spero!

Additionally a very pleasant environment with a lovely small inside yard, an interesting wine list and a hospitable owner.
Special mention to the mature gentleman that was serving our table.
You have to visit Racale, only for the shake of this restaurant.

12/05/2024: Storica masseria salentina con servizio di ristorazione.
All'arrivo abbiamo trovato un una grande accoglienza; Elisa ci ha fatto fare un giro all'interno dei locali parlandoci della storia del luogo, davvero coinvolgente. La passeggiata prima di pranzo ci ha permesso di ammirare l'architettura e l'immenso verde circostante spaccato da una strada romana. Raggiunto il tavolo ci sono stati serviti olio extra vergine di oliva, pane appena sfornato e un assaggio di zalsiccia e ceci neri. Dopo due antipasti un primo ed un secondo eravamo più che sazi grazie alle porzioni generose, dulcis in fundo la sorpresa per il mio compleanno : una crostata alla marmellata di limoni con candelina, davvero carini. Il servizio eccellente, ci hanno dato la sensazione di essere tra le mura di casa coccolati dalla nostra nonna.
Complimenti, non solo un pranzo ma una vera e propria esperienza. Grazie.
12/05/2024: Formula cambiata, prima si potevano degustare vari piatti della tradizione contadina salentina, ora solo pochi in uno scarso menù con prezzi paragonabili ai migliori ristorante di pesce di Gallipoli, che però a differenza offrono ostriche di profondità e gamberi viola e non pitta di patate e fave e cicorie!!! Oramai si cullano solo sulla bellissima location, curata in ogni minimo dettaglio e veramente ad effetto wow. Peccato ne conservavo ottimi ricordi, ma oramai è evidente che puntano solo al turista straniero. Aggiungo altre due note negative, una è che non propongono più la visita guidata alla masseria, e la seconda è la scortesia del cameriere (quello anziano, i giovani tutti carini ed educati). Mai più.

10/03/2024: Locale molto intimo, si ha la sensazione di essere in una casa privata, di molto tempo fa. Il menù propone piatti della tradizione leccese. Ma sembrano preparati dalla ‘mamma’.

19/10/2023: Ottimo pranzo, piatti abbondanti, prezzi nella media, buonissino il tagliere di salumi e formaggi, anche se si dovrebbe mettere quel tipo di carta velina che separi il cibo dal legno del tagliere, comunque ci torneremo presto

06/09/2023: I was stopped by a man of about 65 in front of the restaurant, who invited me and my girlfriend to stop for dinner in this restaurant offering me a tourist menu for 25 euros per person and in addition to the classic second courses (mixed fried fish, grilled swordfish and sea bream fillet) told me that we could also have a pepper of mussels. We sat down already knowing that the appetizer would be a seafood salad which, as soon as it arrived, seemed to have been fished from a bucket with ready-made food, furthermore it was rich in carrots and celery and, although frozen, there was not even a trace of the fish. . My first one surprised me, NEGATIVELY, ravioli stuffed with grouper, probably from Lidl, immersed in a ready tomato sauce with two prawns (needless to say frozen since last year) on the sides, but the most surprising thing is It was the linguine with clams, in which the clams were very white and didn't even look like seafood, but they could just as easily have been chicken. Finally came the frying in which the flavor of the prawn is that of something just out of the great-great-grandmother's cupboard with a minimum of salt put on it, while the squid was immersed in oil and salt to disguise the fact that it was frozen by at least 4 or 5 years. The wine? Forget it, AVOID, I would be repetitive, perhaps it could be made with (rotten) grapes. The only really positive note was THE SERVICE with a very fast and precise guy (maybe he could put his experience at the service of a better restaurant). Unique experience, hopefully unrepeatable
