To cheer up our visit, lunch at Vecchio Scarpone with delicious and abundant appetizers of local products, a tasty first course and roast meat with a unique flavor, accompanied by a delicious pastiera, bitters and coffee.
Thank you for finding us accommodation on Easter Sunday which did not disappoint us.

02/04/2024: I went to eat yesterday with my family. The amount of people was huge, at least we were 170 people. The waiters were attentive to what human strength can do in situations like this.
We waited a bit but if we're in a hurry even on Easter Monday.
High quality as always, and a refined and elegant environment.

26/02/2024: Sasso is one of my fixed destinations, a wonderful place.
Just as a fixed point is to eat here when I stay in these beloved places.
This place embodies good cuisine, the frank and sincere heart of Lucania.
The products are excellent, all of them, from pasta to meat to pizza... I've tried them all and without going into too much detail I'll summarize: if you're in Sasso, eat here at least one evening, do it for yourself.
This time we went for first courses (2 each) and tagliatana of meat for the second course, with potatoes..beer, water and wine..
And then Antonio (owner) shows up with a barricade, three glasses and a chat and you understand that there is both love but also a lot of professionalism behind it... and the result shows..
Sublime final note: the bill that doesn't add up to what you ate, on the contrary, costs you an "if I knew I also took..."
After a day of hiking you get hungry, very hungry.
There's no point in writing, I'll be back. I do it every time.
Maybe I'll write soon.

A journey into traditional Lucanian cuisine, something unique that I recommend to everyone.
Authentic and very intense flavors.
I asked for a house starter (which I recommend to everyone), the quantity was plentiful and of excellent quality.

15/01/2024: Abbiamo trascorso la nostra fine dell’anno presso l’agriturismo Il Calanco. Abbiamo acquistato un pacchetto con pernottamento, cenone, colazione e pranzo del 1 gennaio. Che dire? Siamo stati benissimo! Siamo stati accolti splendidamente da Giuseppe e dalla sua famiglia! La struttura è molto bella, grande, accogliente, fruibile, comoda! La stanza disponeva di tutto il necessario, era calda e silenziosa! Il cenone è stato ottimo! Tutto prodotto in loco, sapori buonissimi della tradizione e non, personale disponibile, tutto organizzato nei minimi dettagli! C’era il dj e c’erano dei gadget da usare su ogni tavolo! Abbiamo atteso la mezzanotte fuori, dove era stato allestito un buffet di dolci, frutta e bevande! Una bella atmosfera coinvolgente! La mattina, su indicazioni di Giuseppe, abbiamo camminato in un percorso che conduce al Teatro del Calanchi e proseguendo anche a Pisticci, dove siamo quasi arrivati! Una passeggiata bellissima immersa nel territorio così particolare come quello dei Calanchi, appunto, in cui si trova l’agriturismo! Molto interessante e super comodo da raggiungere a piedi subito dopo la buona colazione! Il pranzo è stato anche ottimo! Ricco, genuino, ben preparato! Insomma veramente un bellissimo capodanno, circondati da brava gente, in un agriturismo ben gestito ed in scenario originale e interessante. Consigliato!
05/01/2024: Siamo passati per caso in questo bellissimo agriturismo! Sono stati gentilissimi e la cucina ci ha permesso di assaggiare i sapori di questa terra meravigliosa! Davvero consigliato e peccato che per noi siano un po’ fuori mano (circa 1000km😂)

24/03/2024: Unforgettable experience thanks to the professionalism and kindness of the owners of this place... the place is welcoming and I can't wait to return. But what made the evening perfect was the high quality of the dishes, refined and genuine. From gnocchi to vegetables, from aubergine parmigiana to artichoke and chickpea creams... All the dishes are a riot of taste and class, and you can perceive all the study and passion behind them. Highly recommended

18/02/2024: Warmly welcomed in this beautiful place with sweet music in the background. We were able to enjoy 2 appetizers and two truly delicious first courses (the only negative point that I underline, on the menu it stated that the appetizer was for two people but upon arrival there were single products). Innovation and tradition contained in every single course. I highly recommend it

Please bring an umbrella. First course with porcini mushrooms and sausage as second course really excellent. Good waiter and sorry for what happened. We only stayed at the table thanks to him
28/03/2024: My first course was completely without salt... ok, I ask the waiter for the salt shaker to give it a minimum of eatability. The second courses on the contrary, very salty; I ate mine anyway, my partner sent it back. Having made a complaint at the register, he tells me, sorry, nothing can be done, not even the exclusion of the uneaten dish. Having paid the bill in full, I am offered a 4 euro refund, but I refuse the handout. Shame!

20/02/2024: Piccolo ristorantino a conduzione familiare, ci siamo fermati a pranzo di domenica dopo una visita a Maratea; sembra di mangiare a casa, piatti semplici e saporiti, abbiamo preso un antipasto di salumi e formaggi, due primi e due secondi. Abbiamo assaggiato anche un buon tartufo di pizzo calabro al pistacchio, tutto ad un prezzo più che onesto. Se torniamo a Maratea torneremo sicuramente anche qui!

Locale rustico molto carino, non troppo grande.
Prodotti di ottima qualità e ben cucinati rendono i piatti, che ci hanno servito con gentilezza e precisione, eccellenti.
Il pranzo domenicale a menù fisso prevede una serie di antipasti rustici (menzione particolare alle braciole di pollo con purè di patate e funghi) , due primi (noi abbiamo mangiato i cannelloni e la pasta con pesto di zucchine e guanciale entrambi buonissimi), secondo con contorno, frutta e dolce.
Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo
