25/03/2024: Fantastic experience🤩 Very characteristic place within the Sassi of Matera. Top staff, the guy who served us was very nice and competent in advising us and explaining the various dishes. Truly top-quality traditional Motera food with spectacular flavor and flavours. Starter, first courses, second courses, desserts and truly top wine. The small glasses of digestive offered at the end of the dinner were much appreciated. Highly recommended🔝

24/03/2024: The atmosphere and service here are very nice. The prices are very reasonable but we were underwhelmed with our food. Both the cavatelli and the paccheri were just okay, but we enjoyed better at other less frequented spots in matera.

05/04/2024: This place was recommended to us by the manager of the camper area where we stopped: a beautiful, well-kept and above all clean environment. We were able to enjoy some excellent local food presented with a nice twist. The staff were very welcoming, competent, professional. Very satisfied with the experience. To be recommended.

04/04/2024: I stopped at this restaurant by chance and had a great time. The very kind staff accommodated my two children who don't eat fish while my wife and I both had fish menus and it was all delicious. Beautiful external view.

02/04/2024: Easter Monday with some friends, arrived at 2pm, fairly quick service taking into account the holiday and the people who were there. Some abundant and very good dishes. At the end a bit of confusion with some courses but immediately ready and very kind. Very good frying. Ate fresh pasta with mussels and prawns. Nice view. Restaurant on the street. Nice venue.

07/04/2024: The food is good, but not enough explanations in the menu regarding the ingredients and the dish description. Quite expensive but a very nice atmosphere inside (the restaurant is into a cave).

02/04/2024: local so-so poor starters you can't order a starter €15.00 a slice of raw meat a slice of capocollo a spoonful of ricotta and a piece of sausage. excellent first course. second course mixed grill and a piece of sausage and a slice of meat arrives on the table pork €12.00 with a side dish of potatoes, of which with a hair on the plate, without replacement of the dish. Waiters take a refresher course in the sector.

01/04/2024: Friendly and extroverted owner, however friendliness in a restaurant is not everything... The dishes were sticky and not washed well, the staff was poorly qualified and the number was inadequate for the number of places to be served, thus creating long waits between one course and another. Among the various courses, some could be eaten and others not even tasted... in the end the owner, at the time of the bill, between one joke and another presented us with a very high bill considering that we were 4 adults and 4 children of which the children just tasted the first because of a simple requested dish of penne with simple sauce they brought rigatoni with meat which obviously between one waste and another they didn't eat much. Inadequate value for money.

02/04/2024: We were there on March 31st, Easter day. We were on an organized trip and had free lunch, so, not knowing the area, we chose at random, inspired by the entrance to the restaurant and what we glimpsed inside. We were pleasantly struck by the particularity of the restaurant itself, by the attention to the table and the rooms, by the kindness of the restaurant manager who showed us the dishes we chose, including a selection of truly exquisite local cheeses and cold cuts. The first course was exceptional, but the artisanal ice cream they served at the end of the meal was something truly indescribable. Price appropriate for the quality of the food.

01/04/2024: Restaurant in the historic center of Matera, the "Sassi" where you can taste excellent dishes typical of the city's culinary tradition, from the appetizer, through the first and second courses, to then get to the desserts, a dive into the flavors, the smells in the taste of good food, all prepared with care and dedication by the chef, Mrs. Paola with the help of Mrs. Rosa. There are various courses to choose from from the menu with the possibility of choosing dishes outside the menu, such as "baked ziti", a typical dish of Matera's festive days. It is a duty to thank all the kitchen staff, the dining room staff who, in addition to their professionalism, meticulously describe the dishes served to the guests. Thanks to the owners for their hospitality and advice to anyone who wants to taste the typical dishes of Matera, to go to "La Lopa".

01/04/2024: Just sufficient. We had dinner in this typical place among the rocks of Matera. Satisfying mixed starters. First courses to forget. My son had the truffle tagliolini. Drowned in truffle butter...inedible due to the amount of salt. The amazed waiter asked us for explanations as to why we hadn't eaten the tagliolini. Having explained what happened, the funny guy even took us for a ride, telling us that he would inform the chef. When it came time to pay we found ourselves charged the entire bill. What to say ??? You nailed us...so congratulations!!!! In the meantime, however, I try to save other tourists.
