A restaurant with a solid tradition with an immense cellar, but also a tavern which, especially towards the evening, is populated by noisy and extremely mixed humanity, a sign of the fact that this is a timeless and ageless place. Warning to non-regulars: don't expect a starred restaurant or five-star service, because here we'll get down to business.

13/12/2024: Had dinner on 12/12/24.. Nothing special.. plus they are not organized at all.. Terrible service from the kitchen. The second course of meat was delivered and after 10 minutes the vegetables.. Scandalous... Never again..

10/01/2025: Cuando reservé tenía mis dudas… soy poco de ir q sitios con estrellas Michelin ya que suelen ser caros y te ofrecen poca cantidad, te sientes peor que Julia Roberts en Pretty Woman… al menos en mi casa, que aunque no soy tan provinciana, me siento fuera de lugar. Y bueno… me tuve que morder mi lengua pues enseguida se me trató como una más, si bien estaba rodeada de gente que tenía pinta de tener varias cifras en su cuenta… ¡quien se iba a fijar en una extranjera con un jersey normalito y un bolso hecho de telas patchwork! Y la comida… exquisita… una presentación maravillosa y unos sabores inéditos invadieron mis papilas gustativas. Se portan asimismo fenomenal con los Perretes y los peques, más traer los abrigos a los comensales a la hora de marchar. Yo me conformé con un paquetito de galletas bien rico.

05/01/2025: Ottima ristorazione, chef eccellente, personale cordiale e accogliente. Menù con ampia scelta di portate sia di mare che di terra, anche con portate senza glutine e fuori menù. Ho gradito in particolare i tagliolini con crema di porri, pane tostato e tartare di cappesante, e ad altro piatto di pasta tipica con verza, patate e prezzemolo. Anche carne molto buona guancia di maiale con purea di patate e salsa di foie gras. Per dessert ottimo lo strudel. Ottima carta vini, ho scelto un rosso Cabernet Sauvignon del Friuli molto buono, delicato e strutturato. Per digestivo un amaro di Udine e un’ ottima grappa bianca del Friuli dai sapori intensi. Per sala ci hanno fatto accomodare al piano superiore, sala un po’ piccola con molti utenti e non ho gradito molto ambiente, per presenza di giovani in sala che parlavano con toni elevati e linguaggio a volte volgare, fastidioso perché ero in compagnia di mia famiglia con 2 figli minori, purtroppo non posso dare il massimo punteggio. Anche per senza glutine da integrare un pane dí migliore qualità, e tipologia di pasta, era solo disponibile come tipo di formato gli spaghetti, e per sugo solo 2 scelte diverse, abbastanza limitate per chi è celiaco. In generale penso che sia un ottimo ristorante per rapporto qualità menu’.

28/12/2024: In a small street near the center. Wonderful and quaint little place. Friendly staff. It has indoor and outdoor tables and two other tables in the shop opposite. Having a Bernese mountain dog, they let us sit in the latter. Very quiet and very spacious. Speaking of the food, the quality is really high. Frico is something out of space! The raw San Daniele doesn't need reviews... delicious! Very acceptable prices... top quality/price ratio! Highly recommended!

24/12/2024: Mi sono recato, con mio figlio, in questo posto lasciandomi un pò condizionare dalle buone recensioni e perchè mi trovavo in zona. E' la prima volta che, assieme a mio figlio che, visitando un locale, giudichiamo positivamente il servizio piuttosto che la cucina. Se ci fossimo fermati agli antipasti non sarebbe neanche stato male ma il secondo (arrotollato di coniglio arrosto ed il frico) erano proprio maluccio. Il coniglio, rispetto al ripieno non si sentiva ed il frico con patate e cipolla non pervenuto. Il dolce, poi, consigliato dalla proprietaria come fatto in casa (semifreddo al torroncino) non ci ha dato questa impressione ma, se così fosse, non ci è piaciuto. Buoni i vini dell'azienda Alturiis. Il conto, rispetto a quello che abbiamo mangiato ed alla nostra soddisfazione, altino. Quasii cinque stelle come valutazione attuale del locale lo trovo esagerato perchè, tutti noi, dovrremmo pensare che , le cinque stelle, equivalgono ad un locale dove tutto è perfetto.

23/01/2025: Fui a este restaurante basado en muy buenas críticas de él en otros lugares. Llamé el sábado por la tarde después de llegar a Trieste, pero sin una reserva para la noche - sin embargo, aunque no pude conseguir una mesa para la noche, pude ser apretado en el almuerzo del domingo. Este es un lugar bastante pequeño con alrededor de 7 / 8 mesas, así que definitivamente se necesitan reservas - también está al lado del teatro Rossetti, así que supongo que se pone muy ocupado por los clientes del teatro. El restaurante es dirigido por el propietario y ella lo dirige muy eficientemente. Ella no habla inglés, pero mi italiano me vio a través. El menú está escrito a mano como se muestra en la foto que he adjuntado. Los precios no son muy caros y las porciones son bastante buenas. Tomé los ñoquis con goulash y el frico más dos copas de vino de buen tamaño por 32€. Este es principalmente un restaurante para los lugareños donde la comida refleja los platos locales de Trieste. Sin duda recomendaría una visita
