11/01/2026: As always, the dishes are excellent, you can never go wrong! The waiters are kind and welcoming, and the girl with the long red hair is fantastic! It's hard to find waiters like her, knowledgeable, always smiling, helpful, and attentive to customers. The tigelline with parmesan ice cream are my favorite, I always order them. Ditto the tagliatelle with ragù, which, according to tradition, they recommend accompanying with a piece of onion and salt, well, speechless! The braised cheek with fried onion is also delicious, not to mention the desserts... In short, every time you leave with a satisfied palate! Luckily, I have more than an hour's drive, otherwise I'd always be there 😅

19/02/2026: Having recently moved to the area, I decided to explore the surrounding restaurants, and I can confidently say that Il Truciolo is the absolute best. Having frequented it several times, I've had the opportunity to sample most of the dishes on the menu, and there wasn't a single dish that didn't win me over. From appetizers to dessert, every ingredient is carefully selected, and every bite offers a truly pleasurable experience. The service deserves special mention: the wait staff is professional, friendly, and always smiling, putting guests at ease immediately. The owner is extremely kind and helpful, and getting to know him makes the experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant is meticulously maintained, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for feeling at home. A restaurant I've grown to love and will continue to recommend without reservation.
04/02/2026: A decidedly disappointing experience. If you're looking for a restaurant where you can feel welcomed and leave feeling full, look elsewhere. The food is of acceptable quality, but everything else is out of place. The menu, recited exclusively by word of mouth, may seem quaint for a minute, but then it becomes clear that it's simply there to avoid displaying prices that, when it comes to the bill, seem far from justified. The portions? Minimalist to the point of being symbolic: perhaps 60 grams of pasta for the first course and a mini Bolognese cutlet for the second. Ask for roast potatoes on the side, and they place two (exactly) small pieces soaked in oil next to the second course, counting them as a complete side dish. When you look at the bill, the disproportion with the dishes served becomes even more evident. You expect substance, but here it feels like you're on a strict diet... but at luxury restaurant prices. The wait times are so long, you almost have time to reconsider your choice of restaurant. In short: you eat too little, you wait too long, and you pay as if you were served by a Michelin-starred chef. Transparency is lacking. Not recommended unless you want to leave unsatisfied and disappointed that you've wasted your money.

27/01/2026: A restaurant in the charming setting of a renovated old mill. Authentic atmosphere and plenty of customers, even during weekday lunch. Extremely friendly and competent service, and the staff promptly responds to all guest requests. Traditional cuisine, yet decidedly above average in terms of creativity and attention to ingredients: fresh pasta made with chestnut flour or burnt wheat, duck ragù, braised cheek, guinea fowl, and original desserts like pears in Barolo sauce or apple fritters. The vegetable dishes are particularly popular, with a wide selection of seasonal options—we were truly impressed by the at least five or six side dish options, when you're usually lucky to find a plate of the usual grilled vegetables. Highly recommended!

A perfect format, a small shop with a kitchen in the heart of Bologna, perfect for young people, workers on break, and the (many) tourists; the menu revolves around traditional first courses, well-crafted and made with quality ingredients. Fresh pasta, filled or not, reigns supreme...tortellini (I Tortellini!), lasagna, tagliatelle, ravioli...all excellent and available at the counter so you can try making the dishes at home. Takeaway is also available. There are also a variety of desserts to round off your meal. The staff is young, lively, fast, polite, and knowledgeable...well done! The prices are spot on. Beware, it's very popular...expect the line outside (but it's worth it!). Thank you!

The waiters and waitresses were extremely kind and courteous, delivering the food shortly after we ordered. I love your Milanese collection. I'll just add: Vis et Honor for the MINELLI restaurant!

08/02/2026: The food is as good as it used to be. A small but very welcoming place. The staff is friendly and helpful. It feels like home. I'd been there about 4 years ago. And today I had a second order, which was a sure thing. I recommend it to everyone. Remember to book in advance because the restaurant is very popular.

10/02/2026: We went to this place for lunch two weeks ago. We had a good meal, and the portions were generous. The staff was very kind and attentive. However, there are a couple of "flaws" for me. First, our table was located under the stairs, so people were walking up and down above us, which was honestly not pleasant due to the noise and the fact that, if you looked, there were some cobwebs that, with the movement, could have landed on our plates along with any dust 😳. Second, the place was a bit cold, but maybe that's just our habit. We like to relax when we eat, and both of these points hindered that a bit. Anyway, recommended, perhaps in spring and at a different table.

Good lunch, €90 per couple, not a small sum 👎🥵👎 If we had all ordered a first course, second course, side dishes, desserts, and coffee, we would have spent at least €60 each 👎🥵👎 But what really annoyed me was that as soon as we entered, the owner started saying, "Didn't you guys book for 5?" NO, we booked for 4. During the various table services, the same thing happened, and even when we got up to pay at the cashier, the same thing happened: "Didn't you guys book for 5?" NO for 4 For my wife and I, it was the first time, but I can assure you it was 👎THE LAST TIME👎👎👎👎

28/02/2026: If you're passing through Bologna and want an authentic, no-frills Emilian experience, you absolutely must stop by Polpette e Crescentine. We started with a selection of appetizers that could only be described as generous. The baskets of crescentine and tigelle arrived hot and fragrant, perfect paired with a platter of excellent cured meats and a truly refined selection of cheeses, including the Pecorino Perla Nera and Caciotta di Monteveglio, served with honey. The real highlight of the appetizers, however, was the incredibly soft mortadella mousse and the creamy squacquerone, which pairs perfectly with the warm crescentine. We couldn't miss out on the Modena pesto, and for pure indulgence, we added the fried tortellini: a true revelation, crispy on the outside and flavorful in the middle, so delicious you can't wait to try them again. For the first course, I went for the classic tagliatelle with Bolognese ragù. The pasta was clearly fresh, with just the right texture to hold the flavorful ragù, cooked slowly as tradition dictates. It truly tastes like home. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff makes you feel immediately at ease. It's the ideal place if you're looking for the substance and authentic flavors of Bolognese cuisine. We'll definitely be back to try the meatballs!
22/02/2026: Greasy and heavy crescentine, terrible meatballs (and thank goodness it's called that!) Desserts? Packaged Cameo cake passed off as tenerina, and if you really want to have fun, try the mascarpone! Tap water charged as if it were bottled, and the place is noisy and dirty. I'll spare you the comment about the bathrooms, which are better. Last but not least... as mentioned in other reviews, the price is too high for the low quality. Never again!

26/10/2025: Delicious traditional Emilian dishes and a great surprise with the excellent Sardinian specialties, including the seadas, a typical Sardinian dessert. Friendly and helpful staff. We'll be back.

01/02/2026: We went to eat at this restaurant last Christmas Eve because it was recommended. We chose the creative menu. I'll start with the "creative" menu: you can dare to cook traditional dishes, revisiting them, but you have to be able to do it. The ingredients are all disjointed. The dishes are embarrassing. The chef, who "thinks he's almost a Michelin-starred chef," is absolutely not up to par. Service: The chef's behavior was embarrassing: rude, offensive, and intrusive. If it hadn't been for the special day, I would have reacted. I'm not referring to the waiters, who were all very friendly. I've never experienced anything like this. Cross above

15/08/2025: Il posto ideale per osservare lo struscio lungo la pedonale Corso del Popolo, sorseggiando un caffè o una bevanda fresca (noi abbiamo provato gli ottimi frullati energetici). C'è un'ampia sala interna ma quando la bella stagione lo permette, l'ideale è accomodarsi a uno dei tavoli posizionati direttamente sulla strada. La peculiarità di questo locale è quella di offrire, accanto alle bevande tradizionali, altre specialità che i clienti possono scegliere leggendo direttamente la lista accanto alle porte del locale. Un modo pratico per evitare menù ai tavoli e far conoscere le specialità della casa.
