01/03/2026: We decided to take a trip to Camigliatello and went there for lunch because a friend had recommended it. Everything was delicious. The cream soup and mushrooms were TOP!

20/02/2026: We found this place by chance and it left us pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality food, all locally sourced, accompanied by a typical local atmosphere. It is managed by a pleasant person and I highly recommend it.

14/02/2026: The food was good; we had agreed on a pasta starter and a meat dish, coffee, and mineral water. In the end, we paid 65 euros... that's outrageous! Even though the welcome was good and the setting rustic, we ultimately felt ripped off because we had to order without a menu or prices... once again, there was a lack of trust... What a shame.

19/10/2025: The location is a bit hidden, with a hard-to-see parking lot, so much so that we parked on the street. The food is decent and very homely, and the service is friendly but inattentive (every request had to be asked multiple times). The view is spectacular, well worth a visit.

30/08/2025: A real insider tip. Super delicious food. Menu even in German. Large selection of dishes. Food is prepared quickly. Portions are large. Reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend it to everyone.

08/03/2026: March 8, 2026 Lunch Restaurant in the center of Piazzeta di Pizzo, super friendly and attentive staff. (Especially Mr. Salvatore) Pepata di cozza, very good!!! First courses: spaghetti with clams and linguine with pistachio and clam pesto; both excellent. Second course: grilled octopus on mashed potatoes, truly delicious!!! Excellent bread 🍞, made warm by the chef. Highly recommended for a pleasant experience with excellent food.

29/09/2025: The "Vecchia Guardia" restaurant clearly aspires to a luxury category, but it is light years away from understanding the fundamental needs of its guests. Our dinner experience for four on August 21, 2025, was a complete failure, especially regarding food allergies. Lack of Seriousness about "Gluten Free" We booked specifically because the website guaranteed availability for allergens, including gluten-free. Once seated, the unpleasant surprise: my wife, a celiac, was categorically denied any dish, including a simple slice of grilled meat. The only option was bottled water! This isn't "willingness to accommodate any need," but a clear example of misleading advertising aimed solely at attracting customers. Small Portions and Mediocre Quality The dishes were somewhere between meager and mediocre, with a presentation that was meant to mimic that of a "starred chef," but I'll leave you to imagine... with a quality that was, let's say, mediocre. The small quantity is unacceptable unless supported by an excellence that was totally absent here. The Bill: The Height of Negligence The highlight was the bill. Not only did they add a cover charge to my wife, who, through their negligence, was unable to eat anything, but, even more seriously, they included two dishes that were never served due to a clear oversight in the service. We had to point out the error to the waiter (who crossed out the amounts) and then again to the cashier, where the person in charge had not yet crossed out the missing side dishes, leaving the restaurant at 10:33 PM after the complaint. Disconcerting Service Finally, the service was disconcerting to say the least. The waiters and the lady kept bringing bread and other gluten-containing dishes right in front of my celiac wife. This is a total lack of care and professionalism, especially after being informed of her celiac disease. To describe the experience as "disappointing" is an understatement. It was unacceptable. I hope anyone reading this review will appreciate how carelessly this restaurant handles its promises and the basic needs of its customers.

29/08/2025: We went to this restaurant and had a really great time. The staff was very attentive and friendly, the service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. The value for money was excellent. We absolutely recommend it! If we ever find ourselves here on vacation, we'll be back! Thank you for the quality of the food and your professionalism!

12/02/2026: A delicious surprise! We started at Ciro' Martina on the recommendation of friends and stumbled upon this restaurant. We only had the appetizer because it's essentially a sampling of delicious local products. It starts with traditional cured meats and cheeses, fritters and stuffed eggplant, mushrooms, and zucchini, and ends with focaccia bread covered with "pip e patate" (a type of potato and onion) and "pignate" (a type of stuffed legume and merucuni)—all absolutely delicious. The homemade wine also deserves 5 stars. The service was excellent, and the location is a typical, well-kept inn that perfectly complements the cuisine, which is traditional Calabrian. We'll definitely be back, perhaps for lunch. Kudos to the staff.

17/12/2025: I'm sorry to be negative. I almost never am. I understand the sacrifice of those who work hard to keep a business going, but unfortunately today I have to be. A mixed platter of cured meats and cheeses, a mixed roast platter (5 pork ribs, 2 sausage skewers, 2 meat skewers, a pork shank, and a sliced ​​steak), 5 draft beers, a bottle of water, and a can of Coke. €43 per person! I'm so sorry, but I won't be back again.
