The meat ravioli didn't appear to be fresh, the dough was dry.
The rice dumplings were good, except they weren't seasoned enough.
The sushi box was terrible, sorry: it arrived hot (due to the other dishes ordered), with the salmon and the raw fish almost completely cooked. Nigiri with way too much rice.

18/07/2025: Beautiful and very spacious environment. I have been going there for several years and if I have to eat sushi I have always recommended this place and it has never disappointed me. I also order it from home and I have always had a good experience.

This is how I'd sum up my experience at Mandarin, a Chinese restaurant in L'Aquila. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try this type of cuisine.
19/07/2025: One of the best Chinese restaurants in the entire province of L'Aquila. Reasonable prices, excellent quality, and friendly service. I recommend it to anyone; it's an old-school Chinese restaurant unlike any you'll find anymore, uncontaminated by the stupid trend of forcing Japanese cuisine everywhere. A truly wonderful surprise.

09/07/2025: First time positive and I will return, good food especially the salmon which I found light and not very fatty, spring rolls available even the large ones now unobtainable, the rest of the food good, characteristic and beautiful to look at, a couple of dishes were wrong/did not arrive but normal for the type of restaurant.

Shameful, it’s not the first time we hear stories about that guy there

We recommend, however, at least for the dinner menu, updating the menu a bit to keep up with other sushi restaurants in the city.
The food, however, is very good, the service excellent, and the location is always beautiful.

06/09/2025: My girlfriend and I both ate here and had a terrible time. The sushi was sour, obviously from a long time ago. I highly recommend going elsewhere, as your health is at stake. I hope they get it checked out by the local health authority soon before anyone has to go to the hospital.

The food is varied, and it's surprising how good everything is, despite the wide variety.
Sushi, but definitely not only. Perfect even for those who don't eat raw fish.
