06/04/2024: Stopped in for a quick bite to eat before the train station. Staff were friendly, plenty of choices for breakfast - croissant with vanilla cream (a little like custard) was €2 and I had an apple juice with it. There were lots of options to choose from in terms of fillings for the croissant, or you could’ve had things like pain au chocolat, toast, muffins etc.

29/03/2024: The dessert was really delicious. Coffee is mediocre. They ask for a tip at checkout, as if it's justified. I haven't received any service, so why should I?

03/04/2024: The pizzas are really good, 'neapolitan' style with nice thick crusts. If you live in the UK, they're similar to Franco Manca's pizzas (although actually not quite as good, frustratingly). We didn't have pasta but the table next to us did, and it looked pretty rank. The glass of red wine I had was easily the worst wine I've ever had, it really did taste like vinegar. So basically, come here only for their pizzas - and don't get the house red.

29/03/2024: Greeted warmly, accommodated our special food requests, and immediately felt at home. The salad was exceptional! Prices were reasonable. Grazie!

06/01/2024: Splendid period structure, very well maintained and with attention to small details. The rooms are truly very spacious apartments. Lovely garden, swimming pool and spa, all in the center of Sorrento. What more could you want? All accompanied by kindness, education and great availability! Keep it up.

31/12/2023: It is categorized as a B&B, but honestly it is a HOTEL which only lacks a night porter. Stunning in taste, clean colours, atmosphere, all very well looked after. In the impeccable welcome by the owners Ilaria and Francesca who welcomed us with such kindness, courtesy and friendliness. In short, a true luxury residence in the center of Sorrento. And having seen all this in winter, I imagine how wonderful the garden could become in summer. I give my all to everything.

01/04/2024: An unexpected disappointment! My experience was incredibly disappointing, exceeding even the negative expectations created by social media reviews. The rude and unorganized staff made the experience even more frustrating, leaving me with a terrible overall impression of the restaurant. On social media they know how to sell themselves, but then it's all smoke and fire. Unfriendly staff, mostly to my request: "sorry, there's no cutlery" (since there were two of us and there was one) I was answered with a nice "AH WHAT PATIENCE". Not to mention the gin lemon, water and lemon. Excellent, but as a digestive. Bad, bad, bad. Not to go back.

15/03/2024: Arrivo in pizzeria con accoglienza scarsa, sistemazione nei propri tavoli con poca comprensione nella scelta, personale non educato, passavano e davano gomitate, personale scorbutico nei confronti della clientela dal primo momento, poco adatti al tipo di servizio, rispondevano alle richieste in modo inadeguato e sicuramente non professionale. menù fisso, abbastanza scarso, ci sono state presentate 4 patatine in parte crude, 1 supplie ed una frittatina di pasta. Alla richiesta del rimpiazzo dell’acqua ci viene prelevata dal tavolo la brocca vuota portata successivamente 2 minuti dopo, l’unico problema è che il cameriere era uscito dal bagno!!! tutto questo agli occhi delle clientela. per quanto riguarda la pizza, la maggior parte di noi ha trovato al suo interno dei peli, la pizza era troppo cotta, la salsa era acida e a pezzo, mozzarella cadeva a pezzo. per quanto riguarda la logistica del servizio molto lento e certe volte il cameriere ti evitava e quando non potevano farne a meno delle richieste del cliente passavano in secondo piano e alla domanda posta alla precedente richiesta rispondevano con toni sgarbati. ps: alle richieste del cliente non si risponde bestemmiando e umiliando.

19/10/2023: A total con. Asked for one scoop, was given it with a very rude attitude and told that was a child’s portion. When it came to paying I got my phone to pay with card and was told the minimum spend was €5. I have never had this in the 3 weeks I have been in Italy. The man who was serving me was rude and arrogant. The gelato was totally average.

30/03/2024: Not bad to eat something without high expectations. The burgers and bruschetta are pretty good. The place is big and the service good. Price according to the area. Being a large place it is easy to get a table without waiting.

30/09/2023: Très belle chambre mais avec salle de bain trop petite. La douche convient aux personnes de petites taille. Manque d’insonorisation. Le personnel est fantastique. Il y a un transport gratuit qui fait l’aller-retour plusieurs fois par jour. Le restaurant est très très bon avec un service exceptionnel.

23/09/2023: Hotel shuttle driver is a scam artist! We were waiting at the city bus stop for our bus when the Villa Fiorita hotel shuttle stopped, told us to “get in get in, no problem,” fast. When we arrived into sorrento, the bus driver hassled us for 5 euro which was ridiculous.

01/11/2023: We had a room overlooking the beautiful of Napoli.. bed was hard as a rock and had really poor quality sheets. Did not sleep well all 3 nights... We had only a bathtub...no shower.....showered in our friends room...not what we paid for. Towels were thin and frayed. Lots of stairs..fine for us but maybe not others?? Couldn't change us to a room with a shower unless we downgraded the size and location of room.. only bathtub rooms. Spent 35 days in Italy...never ran into this issue. Breakfast was nice...

29/10/2023: I was unaware that Hotel Tonnarella included a restaurant, until when checking into the hotel I was asked if I wished to make dinner reservations for the evening. After a long drive, it was a no brainer. Radicci del Sud was an unexpected, delightful surprise. Excellent food and a great wine selection, served on a romantic terrace with an incredible view overlooking the Bay of Naples. The waitstaff was attentive, helpful, and very friendly. My wife and I enjoyed two excellent, memorable meals during our three-night stay at the hotel. Reservations are highly recommended. If you are staying at Hotel Tonnarella, Radicci del Sud is a must. If you are staying elsewhere and have the opportunity, you must try this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Valet parking is provided.

28/12/2023: It could be a place of pleasant leisure if it weren't for the rudeness of the employee who works there and the clouds of dust floating on the floor. An aggressiveness in communication attributable to the continuous interruption of smartphone use. The children were so shocked by his rude ways that they asked me to leave without playing. Faced with my complaint for this absurd attitude, not only were no apologies given but I also had to pay for my 7 year old daughter who refused to play for fear of further recalls. There are ways and ways to say things especially when you are dealing with well behaved children!

05/04/2024: I had the most delicious Parma ham and mozzarella panini with the toasted bread. Very large too. Highly recommend.

07/04/2024: Sorrento style gnocchi with meat sauce... the same as the cannelloni which tastes like broth, a disappointment, you couldn't taste either the tomato or the buffalo mozzarella. In the Capri area there were no buffaloes. The fried foods looked like they were from the supermarket, the parmigiana didn't have fried aubergines, and here too the same sauce that tastes like broth and sauté covering. Overall good but from what I said, it costs too much. Two stars because generally good and plentiful. The environment repays the experience, in particular the internal garden which can be visited even if you eat less or nothing at all.
