18/01/2025: When I came here in January, it was not open during the winter season, and it was surrounded by people and no one was allowed to enter. It seemed like it was a private area, so it was kept in captivity and no one was allowed to enter.
25/12/2024: Staff are helpful and friendly even though it is crowded. They made sure that we had a great spot and affordable service. That is a wonderful beach that you can enjoy your day with good support from staff.

05/04/2025: Lovely experience, tasty food, great quick service. The waiters were super attentive. We had the caprese salad, mushroom risotto, carbonara and tiramisu & the the homemade limoncello is delicious. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

29/03/2025: Excellent gluten free pizza and good meat dishes. Had filet steak which was tender but medium rather than rare. Also pizza arrived 10 months before my steak. Vegetables were microwaved in my line of sight but still very nice. Would be five star if all food had arrived at the same time. Good service

14/01/2025: Sorrento beautifull, I returned with a bottle of Limoncello and a very fine decorative one, the owner advised me and supported me in my choice, between a sip with friends and relatives but also something to put as a souvenir.
03/12/2024: We ordered 1 bottle of lemoncello, 1 bottle of pistachio cello and some cheese when we visited this store in 11/8/24. We still have not received the shipment and Giuliano has stopped responding to my requests via WhatsApp. Be careful as he took our money and hasn’t delivered.

Tutto però orientato al cliente turistico, servizio e prodotti mediocri e prezzi ovviamente alti.
18/03/2025: El ambiente era realmente encantador, con grandes bebidas y música que establece el ambiente perfecto. Desafortunadamente, la experiencia gastronómica se quedó corta. Un miembro del personal olvidó nuestro pedido de ensaladas, causando un retraso significativo. A pesar de perseguirlo varias veces y tranquilizarnos con "ya viene", aún así terminamos esperando una hora. Debido a lo tarde que era, tuvimos que pagar inmediatamente a su llegada, ya que éramos parte de un tour y el autobús salía en breve, sin dejar tiempo para explorar las tiendas y lugares de interés locales. Para empeorar las cosas, la ensalada en sí era decepcionante —solo hojas, tres rodajas de naranja y una langosta sin apenas carne— y tenía un sobreprecio. Si bien el ambiente y las bebidas eran agradables, la comida y el servicio necesitan mejoras sustanciales.

15/01/2025: We moved to this hotel from another because it was not located close enough to Sorrento. Johanna Park Hotel is not in Sorrento, so if you want to be in the downtown area, be aware of this. That said, they do have a free van shuttle service to drop guests right near the downtown area. Less than a five minute walk and you are in the heart of downtown Sorrento from the shuttle stop. They have both normal hotel rooms and a villa area that is quite nice and has its own small bathing pool that I enjoyed relaxing in after a long day. We needed two rooms and the hotel gave us a good deal for the second and offered us two new rooms next to the villa area, both of which have terraces facing the Mediterranean. Both rooms and the terraces have beautifully tiled floors. We were very happy with these rooms. Be aware, these rooms do not have tubs but have rainfall showers that I prefer anyway. The staff is very helpful and nice and there is a great complementary breakfast from 7 to 10 every morning. Eggs, bacon, some baked items, toast, Italian bread. Even some fruity tarts that I did not try but heard are good from others. I liked being in this location, up in the hills where there were breezes and the air is clean and fresh. Even in June we didn’t need to use the A/C, we just opened the windows and the door to our terrace and had a nice breeze all night. I would definitely come back to this location.
19/12/2024: This hotel is barely a 3 star...very badly located...old...the hotel food is very very ordinary...it was the worst hotel of my entire stay...

31/10/2024: We sat down to eat at one of the tables on the street, which in addition to being small, can't fit more than 2 plates, they are very close to each other, it seems like you are eating with those next door.
We ordered a pizza and some gnocchi. The seconds were good, but the pizza dough was raw. The worst pizza I have eaten so far in Italy.
To not repeat.
29/10/2024: Awesome wine list menu. We did not eat, but we enjoyed the wines variety from the menu.

30/03/2025: A mio giudizio 14 euro per 2 caffè e 1 dolce sono esagerati, soprattutto se degustati al porto di Sorrento e non su una terrazza panoramica della costiera.
25/03/2025: I went to this place and ordered two spritz, a gin and tonic and two crodini, paying €40, and as appetizers they offered us a tiny bowl of crisps and a couple of tarallini (dry ones, by the way). We complained to the owner to ask if the aperitif was finished there and he replied very rudely that if we wanted something else, we had to pay separately, then the lemon in the glass dirty with dirt. The waiter with unkempt nails who honestly made me lose the desire to even nibble on the few things that were there. Not recommended! Luckily I was just passing through!

28/11/2024: Justo antes de salir en nuestro viaje a Italia tenía una cita con el dentista. Mi dentista mencionó que había estado en Italia y confesó que aunque le encantaba la comida, después de una semana más o menos tenía un antojo de hamburguesas McDonalds y terminó recibiendo una.
Debe haber estado en mi mente en nuestro último día completo en Sorrento. Pasamos la mañana haciendo turismo y compras de recuerdos y finalmente encontramos el camino de regreso al Corso Italia en busca de un lugar para almorzar. No faltan los sitios en Sorrento para comer, especialmente a lo largo del Corso Italia, pero por alguna razón terminamos yendo a un lugar que habíamos visto antes después de bajar del autobús desde Meta.
Bar Meeting es un pequeño restaurante en el Corso Italia justo al oeste de la Piazza Angelina Lauro. Es obvio por su apariencia y menú que no es un lugar que sirve cocina local ni uno para cenar.
Es un lugar simple y bastante barato para agarrar “cocina americana” y orientado al turista, probablemente aquellos como yo o nuestro dentista que sus paletas se sienten nostálgicos de casa.
Inicialmente estábamos un poco postergados, ya que nuestro saludador y camarero estaba estornudando y tosiendo y probablemente bajando con algo. Él era lo suficientemente educado como para girar la cabeza y toser en la manga, sin embargo, y había un insecto dando vueltas y yo ya había tenido. Además, tenía mucha hambre y los dos necesitábamos descansar las piernas, así que tomamos asiento.
Pedí una hamburguesa básica con papas fritas y mi esposa optó por dedos de pollo con una cerveza y agua para lavarlo. Todo fue entregado bastante rápido. Pensemos que éramos los únicos clientes inicialmente. Otro grupo entró tras nosotros y agarró una mesa cercana. Después de ellos, un solo turista obvio también entró y preguntó cómo estaba nuestra comida antes de agarrar una mesa y un menú. Supongo que mi gruñido y mi guiño fueron tomados como un sí universal.
El almuerzo no fue nada de lo que escribir a casa, y definitivamente no estará descifrando las diez mejores experiencias culinarias italianas. Tenga en cuenta que sirvió a su propósito y nos llenó. El precio era bastante razonable también, especialmente para un lugar turístico en Sorrento. Total para nosotros dos era de unos 25 euros ($ 37. 13 Cdn.) Lo pagué con tarjeta de crédito y el propietario / gerente parecía un poco molesto porque vi toda la transacción, especialmente cuando el grifo no funcionaba la primera vez. Comprobé mi banco más tarde en línea y no hubo doble facturación u otros problemas.
Almuerzo terminado, el estómago lleno, y las piernas descansadas salimos de nuevo a las calles de Sorrento para hacer un poco más de compras.

27/03/2025: Down to earth Italian food in garden setting. Nothing fancy just good home style cooking. We arrived before they opened for dinner and they were so kind to offer us any choice of pasta before the pizza oven was ready. House wine and insalate mista made a perfect meal. And so inexpensive for Sorrento!

12/04/2025: I’m very disappointed with my experience at this café. I ordered a cake that looked appealing, but a few hours after eating it, I showed signs of food poisoning (nausea, stomach pain, etc.). I’m certain it came from what I consumed here, as it was the only food I ate outside my home that day.
This kind of negligence regarding hygiene and food quality is unacceptable, especially in a place that serves the public. I sincerely hope they take the necessary steps to ensure this doesn’t happen to other customers.
