And I go to many restaurants and I can say that I am extremely satisfied both with the welcome, the place and the service, and above all with the dishes. Something sublime that you cannot taste everywhere but only from certain people like them who put authenticity, love and products and I recommend it for those who decide to give a gift to the palate and pleasure.

18/12/2025: Montevergine Abbey represents the heart and beginning of the journey: founded by William of Vercelli in 1124 (900 years ago), it is a place of faith, history, and art. The remains of the saint are kept beneath the high altar; the church houses a 13th-century Marian panel and an extraordinary series of works that recount centuries of spirituality and devotion. It is the point from which everything begins: every journey, both material and spiritual, takes shape here under the gaze of the Partenio mountains, among the beech forests that breathe silence and peace. At 1,263 meters above sea level, the abbey dominates the Sabato River valley. It can be reached on foot (from Mercogliano or Ospedaletto, via the Juta devotional path (coincides with the route of the Cammino di Guglielmo); a road suitable for vehicles, with numerous narrow passages, connects the abbey to the Avellino Ovest motorway exit, on the A3 Naples-Bari motorway. We recommend taking the beautiful funicular, built in 1926 and inaugurated in 1956; in just 1,670 meters of length, it covers a height difference of 734 meters, with an inclination between 43 and 63 degrees. It starts from the center of Mercogliano and in 7 minutes reaches the abbey among chestnut groves and limestone outcrops, with magnificent panoramic views of the valley and the Abbey of Loreto.

19/10/2025: We went for lunch today to spend a pleasant Sunday, but it turned out to be hellish. The sushi was inedible. Not fresh at all. A terrible experience. We strongly advise against it.

06/01/2026: Epiphany lunch. My boyfriend and I visited this restaurant for the first time, and it was a truly pleasant experience. The atmosphere is welcoming and refined, perfect for both a romantic dinner and a special evening. The staff was kind and attentive from the moment we arrived, making us feel immediately at ease. The dishes were excellent, prepared with quality ingredients and beautifully presented, and the portions were more than generous. Overall, it was a wonderful discovery that left us with a very positive memory: we'll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for good food and a pleasant atmosphere.

21/12/2025: The Montanarine are top-notch. They're airy and incredibly flavorful. The sandwiches are well-made, and the place is perfect for a relaxing evening. The service is discreet and never intrusive. My compliments, truly. All the positive reviews I've read are well-deserved. I recommend the Anthemis amaro after your meal.

10/12/2025: Always impeccable, never boring, and constantly offering new dishes. The sandwiches are excellent, the meat is always top-quality! Fresh ingredients, perfect pairings! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the place is clean and meticulously maintained! I highly recommend a new dish, "Black Angus carpaccio," which is SPECTACULAR! It's also accompanied by exceptional bread made by them! See you again soon, as always! I almost forgot! The warm homemade pandoro with hazelnut cream is exceptional!

08/12/2025: Please note: the funicular and the road to the sanctuary are blocked! Yesterday, December 7, 2025, everything was closed due to a landslide that happened a few days ago! What a disappointment, arriving in Mercogliano. We had to stay in the village, as it was not possible to go up to the Sanctuary of the Blessed!

21/09/2025: My experience at this pizzeria was unfortunately less than satisfactory. The wait was very long (40 minutes just to get our order taken), and even after ordering, we waited in vain for a fried pizza (they usually recommend ordering it to shorten the wait for the pizza), which never arrived. The waiters and the owner/manager continued to give reasons for the delay that were both embarrassing and conflicting. After sitting for an hour and feeling hungry, we asked for the pizzas to be brought to us at least, which arrived after another 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the quality of the pizzas didn't make up for the wait: rubbery, undercooked, and with poor-quality ingredients (be careful with the Golosona pizza, which is appalling, and the gluten-free pizza dough). Overall, the quality is far below expectations. Furthermore, the staff showed little attention to addressing the issues that arose, continually blaming the various departments (frying/waiters) without offering an adequate solution. When we asked for the bill directly from the owner/manager, we were told the amount due without a summary of what had been served at the table. The result? When the receipt was issued, we discovered we had paid for another table, obviously more expensive, albeit by just a few euros. We were refunded the difference, and no apology was received for either the terrible experience or the mistake, which speaks volumes about the management and the importance they place on the people who choose them over so many other pizzerias. What I had hoped would be a pleasant evening turned into a disappointment.

21/09/2025: Terrible service, rude staff except for one girl with glasses who was professional. We waited over an hour for fried food that never arrived, despite constant requests. Undercooked pizzas, terrible gluten-free pizza dough. The bill was steep for the quality. We won't be returning.

20/11/2025: We went for a private 50th birthday party. The place was truly welcoming in its decor and atmosphere. Delicious food and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

11/11/2025: Parking is twenty meters away. The wooden atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Impeccable and fast service. Varied menu. Excellent pizza. I'll be back for the meat.
