03/04/2026: Very good food, we tried the bruschetta and crostini and finished with the Fiorentina steak. Very friendly service. Nice selection.

02/04/2026: The atmosphere evokes old memories. Some of the good things, like the succulent lamb with a side of baked potatoes, paccheri with meatballs and onions, and the cold cuts, were delicious.

07/04/2026: I was at this restaurant on Easter Sunday and had a wonderful meal. The food was delicious, with typical Irpinia cuisine. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was particularly impressed by Mr. Alessandro, who was a very kind and friendly person. The prices were excellent. The parking was free and there was a panoramic view and a quiet atmosphere.

24/02/2026: Although inaccessible due to a landslide, the sanctuary of Montevergine is a very beautiful and spiritually inspiring louis.

10/02/2026: A monastery of particular spiritual value, where you can attend a well-celebrated mass and discover historical relics linked to the lives of believers, whose experience of faith is associated with events considered miraculous. A place that offers meditation, silence, and significant testimonies of lived faith. An ideal place to admire the breathtaking mountain landscapes typical of the Irpinia Apennines, particularly the Partenio massif. The area is characterized by vast beech forests, high-altitude clearings, and open views overlooking the surrounding valleys, offering authentic and evocative glimpses of the Apennine landscape. Excellent food in the surrounding areas. Recommended!!

19/10/2025: We went for lunch today to spend a pleasant Sunday, but it turned out to be hellish. The sushi was inedible. Not fresh at all. A terrible experience. We strongly advise against it.

21/02/2026: Montevergine Abbey—the starting point of the William Way—can be reached from Mercogliano in just 7 minutes via the historic funicular (location). Mercogliano can be reached from Naples Central Station or Naples Capodichino Airport by AirCampania buses (approximately every 20 minutes): get off at the 'Torrette di Mercogliano' stop (location). Mercogliano is also connected to the Air bus station in Avellino by urban buses. The provincial capital, Avellino, is connected to the towns along the Way (first 7 stages) by AirCampania and buses operated by other companies that terminate at the new bus station (location).

08/12/2025: Please note: the funicular and the road to the sanctuary are blocked! Yesterday, December 7, 2025, everything was closed due to a landslide that happened a few days ago! What a disappointment, arriving in Mercogliano. We had to stay in the village, as it was not possible to go up to the Sanctuary of the Blessed!

09/03/2026: It's the first restaurant we visited during this year's stay and we are glad to come here. It's true, that restaurant offers expensive meals but we have found something for our budget and it was sublime. Ask owner about risotto with carciofi ;)

21/09/2025: My experience at this pizzeria was unfortunately less than satisfactory. The wait was very long (40 minutes just to get our order taken), and even after ordering, we waited in vain for a fried pizza (they usually recommend ordering it to shorten the wait for the pizza), which never arrived. The waiters and the owner/manager continued to give reasons for the delay that were both embarrassing and conflicting. After sitting for an hour and feeling hungry, we asked for the pizzas to be brought to us at least, which arrived after another 30 minutes. Unfortunately, the quality of the pizzas didn't make up for the wait: rubbery, undercooked, and with poor-quality ingredients (be careful with the Golosona pizza, which is appalling, and the gluten-free pizza dough). Overall, the quality is far below expectations. Furthermore, the staff showed little attention to addressing the issues that arose, continually blaming the various departments (frying/waiters) without offering an adequate solution. When we asked for the bill directly from the owner/manager, we were told the amount due without a summary of what had been served at the table. The result? When the receipt was issued, we discovered we had paid for another table, obviously more expensive, albeit by just a few euros. We were refunded the difference, and no apology was received for either the terrible experience or the mistake, which speaks volumes about the management and the importance they place on the people who choose them over so many other pizzerias. What I had hoped would be a pleasant evening turned into a disappointment.

21/09/2025: Terrible service, rude staff except for one girl with glasses who was professional. We waited over an hour for fried food that never arrived, despite constant requests. Undercooked pizzas, terrible gluten-free pizza dough. The bill was steep for the quality. We won't be returning.

21/12/2025: The Montanarine are top-notch. They're airy and incredibly flavorful. The sandwiches are well-made, and the place is perfect for a relaxing evening. The service is discreet and never intrusive. My compliments, truly. All the positive reviews I've read are well-deserved. I recommend the Anthemis amaro after your meal.

The staff is kind and welcoming, instantly putting you at ease and accompanying your meal with professionalism and warmth. The food is simply superb: well-executed dishes, generous portions, and a perfect balance between tradition and contemporary flavors. I'll also add a personal detail: La Molara is one of those places that makes you want to return, because it combines good food, a sincere atmosphere, and a sense of authenticity that is increasingly rare these days.
