10/02/2026: A monastery of particular spiritual value, where you can attend a well-celebrated mass and discover historical relics linked to the lives of believers, whose experience of faith is associated with events considered miraculous. A place that offers meditation, silence, and significant testimonies of lived faith. An ideal place to admire the breathtaking mountain landscapes typical of the Irpinia Apennines, particularly the Partenio massif. The area is characterized by vast beech forests, high-altitude clearings, and open views overlooking the surrounding valleys, offering authentic and evocative glimpses of the Apennine landscape.
Excellent food in the surrounding areas.

06/05/2026: We went for lunch on a Sunday, having booked several days in advance. The place is quaint and very welcoming (it's lovely to sit in the garden during this time of year). We opted for the €35 tasting menu per person (believe us, these aren't just tastings). Quality and abundance go hand in hand at this rustic innkeeper, and Roberto is also an excellent and friendly host.

We were here on Sunday, April 26th, and after parking, we sat in the lobby waiting for the funicular, which was about to arrive. It left on time both ways. We used the restrooms, which we found clean. The ride up or down, whether you prefer, is spectacular, with a breathtaking view of Mercogliano and Avellino. We recommend increasing the number of rides during peak times, such as after Mass, because we've heard of people being stranded and having to wait two rides (an hour) to get off, despite the funicular running every 30 minutes. Highly recommended.
19/04/2026: Really very comfortable and in a few moments you reach the sanctuary of Monte Vergine, 5 euros return, a more than reasonable price

09/03/2026: It's the first restaurant we visited during this year's stay and we are glad to come here. It's true, that restaurant offers expensive meals but we have found something for our budget and it was sublime. Ask owner about risotto with carciofi ;)

10/05/2026: Just got out of a nightmare... I called at 1:35 PM asking if there was availability... At 2:10 PM I sat down with two small children aged 6 and 4. I ordered a penne with tomato sauce and a cutlet and chips for them, an appetizer and 2 first courses.... Moral of the story? 2 waiters in a full room and my penne arrives at 4 PM and at 4:15 PM my FIRST COURSE WHICH I DIDN'T EVEN EAT! BUT EVERYTHING WAS FINE... aaaa and then pay full menu price without the slightest attention to the poor service?... I definitely won't be returning, sorry.

16/12/2025: Nice. Too noisy and on Saturdays you still have to wait even if you have a reservation.
14/12/2025: We were there this evening at 10:20 PM, six of us with children. We wanted to be in the nursery. It's inconceivable that they wouldn't let us in, saying they were already cleaning the room. I'm appealing to the owner. I'm waiting, because it'll be hard to continue if the employees make customers leave instead of seating them. Have a good evening.
