24/08/2025: A lovely beach. Equipped with restrooms, outdoor showers, and a bar area with nice shaded tables. It's not very large, which makes it quiet, especially since it's not surrounded by other beach resorts; there are only free beaches nearby. There's plenty of parking along the road that runs along the seafront, so you don't have to go far to find one. Since the umbrellas and lounge chairs are secondhand (which is a great thing!), renting an umbrella with two lounge chairs is only €7.50! Highly recommended for a comfortable but super-quiet day at the beach.

23/08/2025: Good food, modest portions, 1970s-style terracotta terrace, ample parking. The end... Besides: The ordering process is a bit cumbersome. If you're sitting at a table and have quickly decided what to eat because you have to leave, you still have to wait for all the tables of 20 people who sat before you to complete their orders. A nice location for receptions and children's entertainment, well-known among locals, but I wouldn't exactly call it "on the sea," but more accurately "with a view of the beach and sea." Prices are average, the pizza is cheap, but overall, it's not in line with the competition and the area. Mentioning Heinz Beck on the menu is decidedly misleading and leaves one "astonished," to say the least. Disappointed by the wait. Not worth the trip or the stop. Everyone else can easily go and sit at the bar while waiting.

30/11/2025: Passing through Macomer, I was curious to try this renowned gelato with three Gambero Rosso cones. Unfortunately, I found it closed at 2:30 PM on Saturday because it didn't reopen until 4:00 PM. I could understand weekdays, but a gelato shop of this renown can't afford to have such hours on weekends, even in late autumn.

11/03/2026: I'm giving it a 5 not because it has one or more Michelin stars, but simply because it's a simple place that serves simple, hearty dishes. The price is very respectable.

20/12/2025: We dined at this restaurant for lunch at a table of 13. The place is very simple and unpretentious (the curtains were visibly stained with sauce). The price was €30 per person, which I consider expensive for what they offered, but for me (a celiac diner) it was a complete rip-off. ​Despite their willingness to accommodate gluten-free options, the service was disappointing: ​- Delays: the gluten-free first course was forgotten, so it arrived after the other diners had already finished; ​- Shortcomings: As for the side dish, I had requested a fennel salad (proposed by the owner), which never arrived, and since I couldn't eat the fries served at the center of the table because they contained gluten, I didn't get it; ​- No dessert: when it came to the sorbet, they said it wasn't suitable because it contained gluten, and no alternative was served, leaving me without the last course. Coffee served at the counter in a plastic cup. The appetizer was good, and the flavor of the mushrooms used in the risotto was pleasant, but it wasn't enough to make up for the rest. I think the owner, given what happened, should have shown me a little more consideration, perhaps even apologized personally and offered a discount as a courtesy.

13/11/2025: Wide selection of breads and biscuits, including gluten-free ones. Delicious pizza and focaccia. Mr. and Mrs. Paolo are friendly and helpful.

23/12/2025: A great place to spend time in good company and enjoy a good pizza or burger... Fast service and friendly staff ready to accommodate your requests. We loved the desserts, especially the pandoro filled with mascarpone and Nutella...you can't miss it!!!

24/02/2026: It was a challenge to find a restaurant open for dinner during the week in February in Scilla. We weren't expecting much, considering it's not the peak season, but we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was very unique, elegant, with background music and extremely friendly staff who offered us two glasses of prosecco and an aperitif while we waited for our dishes. I highly recommend it.

22/02/2026: A quaint setting. We ordered two spaghetti dishes that looked like clams, but were actually a garlic and oil dish for €22—and I repeat, €22 per dish. Two fried calamari dishes arrived dark and bitter, and the fryer oil absolutely needed replacing, for €15 per portion. I have to say, it was one of the worst lunches I've ever had.

25/09/2025: I ordered takeout arancini and pumpkin pie, eggplant meatballs, and zucchini flower fritters. Aside from the meatballs, everything else was very salty, truly disappointing. 😔

21/08/2025: A fantastic evening at Kalua Restaurant! We dined here as a family and had a truly wonderful time. Nicodemo, as always, was a guarantee of quality and friendliness, and his service was impeccable. The fish dishes were excellent, fresh, and expertly prepared; every bite was a unique tasting experience. The service from the ladies was fantastic, friendly, and efficient; they made our evening even more special. I highly recommend Kalua Restaurant to anyone looking for a high-quality experience and friendly service. A place where you can eat well and spend a pleasant evening with friends.

31/10/2025: This café has become one of my favorite spots: welcoming, well-maintained, and with a pleasant atmosphere at any time of day. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by the aroma of coffee and the smiles of the staff, always kind and helpful. The coffee is truly excellent—aromatic, creamy, and always served at the perfect temperature. You can tell they use a quality blend and that the staff behind the counter are skilled and know their job. The cappuccinos and lattes are also delicious, perfectly frothed and served with attention to detail. Breakfast is one of the best moments: croissants and brioches are always fresh, soft, and generously filled, with a wide selection of spreads, jams, and chocolate. But the café is also perfect for a break during the day: granitas, juices, aperitifs, and savory snacks are always top-notch. The atmosphere is well-maintained and clean, with comfortable tables both inside and outside. There's a family-friendly, relaxed atmosphere, where you feel at ease. It's the classic place where you can come alone for a quick coffee or with friends for an aperitif, knowing you'll always be treated with courtesy.

24/11/2025: A truly excellent pastry shop in the area. The almond pastries are SUPERB. Kudos to the cleanliness and the atmosphere. I'll gladly return.

11/10/2025: One star, even too many!!! A very disappointing experience. I went there for a tray of mignon. The lady was outside clearing the tables and told me to wait. She came back with the tray and continued cleaning the counter. I climbed up onto the counter, thinking I was going to help her, but instead, she was rinsing the cups and, with her head down, without even looking at me, she asked me how many pastries I needed, looking annoyed that I had asked for her. So I said goodbye and left. So I gave her a piece of advice: serve yourself first and take the profit, and then worry about cleaning. She probably didn't like my Roman accent, but in any case, she lost 20 euros, and I'll write a great review where I bought my pastries. Good luck.

08/12/2025: The atmosphere, cuisine, and service are truly excellent. From the first to the last meal, the ingredients are savored with gusto, making each dish, whether meat or fish, unique. Highly recommended.
