27/08/2025: ⸻ Disappointing: high-end restaurant prices but osteria-quality food I recently visited Locanda degli Antichi Sapori in Filadelfia, and unfortunately, I have to describe the experience as extremely negative. The place advertises itself as a high-end restaurant, but in reality, it turns out to be a simple osteria without the quality to justify the exorbitant prices. We ate outside, at tables positioned directly on the street, and even on a slope, with no provision for comfortable seating: an unacceptable detail for someone who charges like a high-end restaurant. The appetizers were the most disappointing: €16 for a dish made up of clearly supermarket-quality products, without any special preparation. The presentation was embarrassing, and the portions were meager. In short: nonexistent value for money, and the food offered was completely inadequate for the image the place wants to project. An experience not to be repeated, and not recommended to anyone seeking a modicum of consistency between price, service, and food quality.

18/08/2025: Tried this small and perhaps unique restaurant in Philadelphia for the first time. Cute and welcoming... The menu is short but carefully chosen, especially the first courses... Generous and delicious... Scialatielli with porcini mushrooms and pancetta, and Filejia with tomato, soppressata, and eggplant. 🔝 Recommended!

22/08/2025: Stayed for 4 nights with breakfast. Homemade products, starting with jam and honey. Top-notch home cooking. Everything is freshly cooked. First courses and grilled meats. The staff are friendly and always available. The owner is very kind. The complex is located in the countryside.

28/11/2025: I stopped for a quick break. The sandwiches were AMAZING! Nothing American.

14/11/2025: I paid 25 euros for stuff I wouldn't even get at the 7 a.m. market: two counted onion braids, one garlic braid, and that's it. The chili pepper braid I paid for? Gone, it wasn't in the bag. The weight doesn't match the receipt: one figure on the tag attached to the bag, another at the cash register. And obviously always in their favor. Confused service, little transparency, zero attention. Never again

13/10/2025: From the outside, it looks unassuming. But the seating is very pleasant, and the staff was very friendly and personable. The fish was excellent, as was the caretaker. The price was very fair. It's a shame that today is our last day of vacation and we haven't found our way in before.

13/06/2025: Accolti gentilmente e serviti su un romantico tavolo vista mare. Deliziosi gli antipasti caldi e il sauté di cozze. Anche vino e primi davvero eccellenti. Abbiamo concluso con il semifreddo zabaione, cioccolato e amaretti… da leccarsi i baffi. Anche il ristorante interno risulta molto curato ed elegante. Complimenti per la gestione. Consigliatissimo

25/10/2025: We stopped by chance for lunch, as it's actually the only restaurant in the village, and several people recommended it to us. When we arrived, it was strange because we were the only customers. The owners were friendly. We had a tasting plate, which was very good, followed by spaghetti montanara and rigatoni with eggplant, a real treat. It was very good and plentiful for a very reasonable price. If we pass through Soriano again, we'll stop for lunch.

30/11/2025: We've been to this restaurant on several occasions and have always been extremely satisfied. The location is spacious and bright, the welcome is warm and welcoming, and the menu offers a good selection of both meat and fish, with a wide selection of desserts (both homemade and otherwise). Highly recommended!

13/09/2025: Delicious pizza, light and crispy at the same time, nothing like those "rubbery" pizzas that they call "Neapolitan" and then rise in your stomach and you digest them the next afternoon!! The food is also good. Courtesy and kindness. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat, this is the right place.

15/06/2025: My boyfriend and I have been frequenting this restaurant often for a long time. The atmosphere is quiet, there are always few people and I don't mind, the owners are very kind and helpful. However, the overall experience did not fully satisfy us. Lately it has not been pleasant anymore. For a place setting with a paper placemat, €4 seems a bit excessive to me. The portions were rather small compared to the asking price, which at the end of the meal turned out to be quite high in relation to what we actually ate. Unfortunately, the quality-price ratio did not live up to expectations. A shame, because with a few more adjustments on the quantity and cost, the experience could have been decidedly better.

10/11/2025: I visited this place with three friends on April 15, 2025, and even now, a few months later, I still think about it because of the wonderful memories it left. The sandwiches were delicious, huge and made with top-quality ingredients, the side of fries was endless, and the beer on tap was fantastic. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, unlike anything I've ever seen, and the customer service makes you want to come back again and again. What can I say? It's a place that will always have a special place in my heart, and I can't wait to try it again!

05/12/2025: Terrible service. I asked for a smash lust without onion or mayo, plus fries inside the sandwich. It arrived without onion, fries, and mayo... Not to mention the two girls serving, who were completely unfit to serve... I won't be going back.

04/10/2025: Unfortunately I can't give a rating, because I called for a gluten-free sandwich and they don't make any! mha!

19/10/2025: A very pleasant place, with good full menus and wine! We preferred to eat outside. The menu included specials: Spaghetti with clams, mixed fried fish with mixed seafood, and a whole grilled sea bream with green salad, and finally, a citron cake! Excellent in all respects. We always return when we come to Scalea.

05/10/2025: We opted for the daily menu, which was excellent value for money, and the lemon cake was excellent. A positive experience.

29/11/2025: Lovely place, beautiful Christmas decorations, delicious coffee and pastries. Highly recommended.

13/11/2025: Profiteroles filled with cream, fantastic. Always professional, kind to customers, and improving over time in every aspect, taking care of the business and the customer's needs. A small place of delights that makes both adults and children happy. Very good! For me and you...
