08/09/2025: An ideal place for a quick meal without sacrificing quality, both in service and food. Professional and helpful staff, and a friendly and welcoming owner. The fried flowers with mozzarella and anchovies are delicious, while the spaghetti with mussels and green beans is flavorful and plentiful. If you're passing through or staying in Policoro, it's definitely a must-try.

28/09/2025: This is a touristy restaurant. The food is very poor quality and poorly cooked. The owner has little desire to do well. I recommend going elsewhere for authentic local cuisine.

Essence Restaurant, under the guidance of chef Enza Crucinio, is an experience that goes beyond simple cuisine: it is a meeting of elegance, authenticity, and passion. The menu fully reflects the restaurant's name: each dish is designed to enhance the essence of the ingredients, with technique and great sensitivity. Among the dishes we sampled, the "Uovo in giallo" (Yellow Egg) was memorable: creamy pumpkin soup, gorgonzola, crispy bread, hazelnuts, and a soft-centered egg that created an intense and enveloping harmony of flavors. We also had the opportunity to savor several first courses, each with its own distinct character, prepared with care and respect for tradition, but always with a personal touch: flavorful dishes that excite without artifice. To conclude the experience, the "Occhio del Drago" (Dragon's Eye) dessert: a perfect combination of the rusticity of Matera bread, the delicacy of sweet ricotta, and the richness of chocolate. A finale that leaves a lasting impression, like the entire meal. The service is highly professional and attentive, the wine list is well-curated, and the atmosphere is welcoming and refined. 20/09/2025: The fish is incredibly fresh, cooked simply and deliciously. Ask for the catch of the day; this is a family of fishermen and restaurateurs! We tried both a fantastic sea bass and a delicious fried fish dish (the following evening). If you want the fish soup, you must reserve the day before. The service is also courteous, punctual, and friendly.

29/08/2025: A pleasant surprise. I hadn't eaten at this restaurant before, but after this dinner, it certainly won't be the last for both my guests and me. Everything was delicious. The meat was good quality and well-cooked. A special mention goes to the chef's carefully selected crostini. The staff is extremely kind, knowledgeable, punctual, and meticulous. My guests have a large dog, so when booking, we asked for a secluded table, and the owner accommodated our request. Highly recommended.

24/08/2025: Today we finally ate in this place, it is very difficult to find a seat because it is always full. Nice location near the sea. The staff is very kind. Good quality and well prepared food. Lunch was based on fish. I particularly recommend the seafood paccheri. We ate a series of starters and two types of first courses. The portions were so generous that we couldn't eat the second course. I recommend you try this restaurant. Book at least two weeks before the requested day to avoid disappointment.

25/08/2025: We've eaten at this bakery several times. Very fair prices, one of the best focaccias I've ever eaten. They also offer first and second courses. For a quick lunch at very reasonable prices. Everything I ate at this bakery was good. It made our holiday in Policoro more enjoyable. We will definitely return to this bakery.

27/09/2025: Unfortunately, I can't give less than one star. We ordered two pizzas and a sandwich. They arrived after almost three hours! They were inedible, to say the least! My companion's pizza, a tuna and onion pizza with fries, was a dry, unseasoned disc under an excessive amount of very cold fries that smelled of fried fish (obviously, changing the oil or using separate fryers would be too much work). My pizza, a diavola with mushrooms and fries, was truly inedible! The consistency was that of a dry toasted slice. The mozzarella, what little there was on the pizza, had the typical odor of a modified atmosphere, a mix between methane and bleach. It's the smell of mozzarella in a modified atmosphere at just over €5 a kilo. The mushrooms got lost along the way because there wasn't even a hint of them, the salami was of extremely poor quality, and the fries, in my case very few, were flavored with fish like my companion's. Sooner or later, you'll run into someone with a fish allergy. Ultimately, we waited three hours for a terrible meal. The sandwich was edible, although the bread was very dry and fell apart when bitten into. I don't usually write negative reviews because I think oversights can happen, but operating this way, with prices equal to those of other pizzerias that produce much better products, is completely unfair. Total €30.00. Never again!

07/07/2025: Very good sandwiches, we tried the one with sweet sausage and also with horse meat. Chips 🔝, fresh and not the classic frozen ones. Good house wine and also the draft beer. Cheap price, the total for all this stuff and a coke zero was €20. Friendly staff, open and clean terrace.

02/07/2025: Is it possible that the opening hours of the place cannot be known, closed at two in the afternoon, I had come with such illusion. Correction When I pass by Policoro again I will stop by to eat something since now the hours have been updated. Expectations are high.

03/10/2025: Excellent food, cooked with genuine ingredients. Courtesy and professionalism are always the hallmarks of everyone who works at Invidia Pizzeria. The atmosphere is spacious and welcoming. The takeout service is very prompt. Highly recommended.

24/09/2025: When we came we weren't expecting anything special but it was amazing! We asked for a salad to be made for us, even though it wasn't on the menu, and it was really good! The pizzas were amazing and the gluten-free dough was amazing!
