07/01/2026: Excellent service...fast...not shy about a smile...young staff serving tables. The location is retro but very welcoming...original decor...clean bathrooms...must be very nice in the summer as they have a large outdoor terrace. The owner is kind and helpful. I recommend it.

29/12/2025: A truly authentic place to eat in a typical Italian atmosphere. I highly recommend it because it boasts a wide variety of dishes, especially the pasta and meat, which are prepared tableside and served exceptionally well. Excellent value for money ✅ The location is fantastic, situated on one of the streets leading to Prato della Valle. The building itself is beautiful, dating back to the early 1900s. If you're in Padua, be sure to stop by this restaurant and experience il Dolce Farniente ♥️ 🇮🇹

17/02/2026: The food was very good and high-quality. We tried the picanha with fries, and it was all really good. We weren't crazy about the cheesecake, which was a bit gelatinous. The only drawbacks we found were that you could only order 1kg of picanha and other cuts of meat, which is quite a challenge for two people. Also, the meat is served on a hot plate, so it continues to cook, and if you don't eat it quickly, it risks becoming overcooked, or cold if you remove it from the plate. Overall, it was a great experience because the meat was definitely good and the staff was friendly. Recommended, perhaps for larger groups :)

The meat was very good, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and they were able to recommend the best meat based on the customer's requests and tastes. The price was fair, and in line with the quality of the ingredients. I'll definitely be back and recommend it.

18/02/2026: What a great discovery! We went here for dinner to celebrate a birthday. The food was truly excellent; the only flaw was that the dining room was a bit too cold. But we'll definitely return to try some other dishes.

10/12/2025: Suggested by the accommodation where we're staying, we went to dinner with friends. The appetizers were good, and the starters were delicious, but in my opinion a bit limited in quantity. A sore point was the mushroom pappardelle, which arrived smelling excessively of garlic (which was immediately contested and removed, justifying the fact that they were prepared with garlic oil, certainly too much), and was replaced with duck bigoli. When it came time to pay for the pappardelle... I disputed the fact and was told that other customers had eaten the pappardelle without any complaints. Regardless of the fact that we all make mistakes, we must also accept the mistake. Perhaps other customers used less oil. However, if a customer complains about a dish, the criticism is accepted and we move on. In my opinion, the manager was unprofessional in handling the situation. In fact, with 11 euros less, I won't become poor and he won't be rich, but the thought of using the structure on future trips to Padua certainly fades.

05/02/2026: I stopped by on a weekday for lunch. Very fast service, very friendly staff. The gentleman serving the tables offered me a taste of cheese and a piece of cake. When I'm in the area, I'll definitely stop by.

09/12/2025: EXTRAORDINARY! Today I discovered a special place: I don't know whether to call it a restaurant or a museum... I'd say 100% both. The manager is also EXTRAORDINARY: incredibly kind. 28/11/2025: Terrible experience. We waited over an hour for our dishes after ordering. I specifically asked for no vinegar, and the vegetables had vinegar. I ordered a second course, and they got it wrong, only to bring me the "correct" one, which was inedible. The waitresses were cold and unfriendly. Terrible.

22/10/2025: Restaurant discovered by chance but which turned out to be a very nice surprise, very interesting dishes offered, especially their chicken leg which is really good, I absolutely recommend the exceptional tiramisu, attentive customer service and standard price

The food was a pleasant surprise: high-quality dishes, beautifully presented, and rich in flavor. An added bonus is definitely the owner's hospitality: kind, helpful, and capable of making guests feel at home. A restaurant where you can sense their passion for their work. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

06/01/2026: Five vegans landed in Arquà Petrarca, near Petrarca's house, in a tavern that screams "mountains = meat everywhere." We thought: well, we'll just have a sad salad and say goodbye. Instead, a big surprise! The manager (super professional, welcoming, and incredibly friendly) welcomed us with a FULL VEGAN MENU! Two appetizers, two first courses, two second courses—all elaborate, flavorful, and carefully prepared. Unbelievable. If I really had to say something, it would be a piece of advice: make the portions a little larger, because let's face it, even us herbivores get hungry! Spectacular place, top atmosphere. Highly recommended by discerning vegans!

26/01/2026: The best: variety of food. They have pizza, burgers, meat, pasta, salads, etc. Tried the bigoli con ragù di anatra that was good, not super delicious but good. Pizza seems to be the best option to get here. Prices are medium. Reservations may be good if you are a big group of people. Inside is comfortable and outside is perfect for autumn/spring.

08/10/2025: I really liked the place. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, with good music, and I go there often. I've already tried several dishes on the menu. The service was attentive and friendly, something you don't often find in other similar places. The prices are fair and in line with the quality of the food and service.

20/10/2025: We celebrated a special birthday here in a place full of love for us. ​The welcome was excellent: the staff reserved a festive table for us, almost like a wedding, a gesture of great care. ​We chose a pre-arranged menu: very good, plentiful food, and impeccable service. ​The excellent service made the day unforgettable. Highly recommended!
