04/04/2025: Abbiamo scoperto Z’Alia a San Giuseppe Jato, un ristorante e pizzeria che sorprende per la grande varietà di impasti per pizza, tutti originali e ben curati. Abbiamo iniziato con l’antipasto “Ammiraglio”, che comprendeva salmone, cocktail di gamberoni in salsa rosa, polpette di sarde in agrodolce e caponata di pesce spada. Buoni il salmone e la caponata, ottime le polpette, mentre il cocktail di gamberoni ci è sembrato un po’ troppo salato. Come primo abbiamo diviso delle busiate al pesto di pistacchi con gamberoni di Mazara: piatto gustoso, ben eseguito e bilanciato nei sapori. Il conto è risultato nella norma e il personale è stato molto gentile e disponibile. Nel complesso, un’esperienza più che positiva: torneremo volentieri, soprattutto per provare le pizze!

24/05/2025: I had dinner in this place where I found good food, but as far as the owner is concerned, it is better to avoid discussing football, because for the sole fact that I had expressed my opinion he began to insult me ​​heavily using vulgar and offensive adjectives to the point of repeatedly calling me an idiot in front of other customers and having told him in a previous discussion that I had to participate in a competition, he threateningly wished me to speak to a member of the commission (who he claimed to know) to make me fail, also telling me not to even show up for the exam. P.S.: I passed the competition with flying colors anyway, but you were and remain an infamous Inter fan. To be avoided absolutely and remember that the customer is always right otherwise you will change jobs.

17/12/2024: Dinner on 20 October 2024. Place located next to the Marsala train station. Outside is a street food kiosk selling kebabs. The interior is reserved for those who order (also) the cut. Very spartan place: basic structure in canvas and tubes, uneven flooring, plastic tables and chairs, paper napkins, disposable cups. Acceptable waiting times from ordering. Two types of meat for the cut, served on a wooden cutting board with a bed of mixed salad and grilled bread: scottona (more ordinary) and t-bone (marbled and matured). In this second case, after a passage on the griddle, it is prepared in a very choreographic way on the trolley in front of the customers' table. The owner has no difficulty in providing, to his satisfaction, explanations about the animal of origin. The t-bone is truly exceptional. Those who love meat, if they don't try this dish, have lost something: you need to try it at least once in your life. The intense and delicious taste, and the extreme tenderness of the meat, compensate a thousand times for the absolute basicity of the place. 2.5* skewers (well made, tasty meat even if a little tough), 3* spiral fried potatoes (choreographic, well flavored even if slightly oily), 5* with honors t-bone (world-wide raw and cooked). 2 potatoes, 900g of t-bone, 3 beers, 2 coffees, 2 bitters offered, total €85

20/04/2025: Excellent welcome and care from the dining room staff, a nice atmosphere in a characteristic and clean environment. When there is commitment and passion you can see it and feel it in the aromas and flavors of the dishes. Highly recommended!

10/05/2025: We had pizza here recently and it was overall an enjoyable experience. The restaurant is centrally located in Porto Empedocle and has a relatively spartan and reduced interior, with some seating outside on the street too. We ordered the Marinara (mixed seafood) and the Buffalina (cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella). Both pizzas arrived quickly and were tasty. The Buffalina was slightly better in my view than the Marinara and substantially cheaper but the Marinara was nice too (a tiny bit too cheese-heavy for my taste but that’s personal preference) and I didn’t regret my choice. The service is friendly and the prices are fair.

09/05/2025: The pizza was good, the second day the pasta dish was good but disappointing because I was sold penne and I got tagliatelle. I was taken for a tourist. Lol. The service was a little chaotic, they seemed lost...

02/06/2025: Yesterday we had dinner at the restaurant. Everything started in the best way, shame about the ending. Aside from the questionable food (there were 20 of us and all 20 of us left the pasta at the Lido), the experience was negative because of the owner. When we got to the end of the evening, a 6 YEAR OLD CHILD urgently needed to go to the bathroom. When we opened the bathroom door, we found everything dirty (never seen anything like it). The toilet was in terrible conditions, not to mention the floor covered in dirty toilet paper. After seeing this mess we asked the waiters if it could be cleaned. Minutes passed but no one came (the child started shaking because he urgently needed to go to the bathroom). After calling for attention, the owner approached and instead of taking control of the situation he only made it worse. According to him, we should have waited until the delivery boy was free... in the meantime however the child still had to go to the bathroom. Needless to say, the bathroom was not cleaned anymore and the child went to the women's bathroom (which was also very dirty). The owner was rude, arrogant and ill-mannered. If the delivery guy is busy, you put on gloves and go clean it yourself! Terrible experience especially for the owner. The only positive note was the waiters, super kind and friendly especially the guy with the curly black hair. (P.s. in the fruit salad there is not only apple).

07/02/2025: Trattoria a gestione famigliare , la signora Pina è un ottima padrona di casa, se sei indeciso su cosa mangiare fatti consigliare da lei, sarai soddisfatto. Siamo rimasti una settimana in paese e abbiamo cenato da loro ben 4 volte, ci hanno sempre accolti con calore e serviti sempre con cortesia e sorrisi. Abbiamo sempre cercato di ordinare piatti della tradizione e siamo stati accontentati alla grande, tutto ottimo e abbondante, buonissimi i cannoli a fine pasto che Salvatore riempiva a più non posso! Grazie per l'ospitalità

04/05/2025: A real shame to give you a 3 star but the service was really poor. 45 minutes to wait for 2 pizzas after the starter. No apologies from the Staff, no justifications. It's really a shame because the pizzas were truly superb.

22/05/2025: Busiate ai frutti di mare excellent and abundant, not precooked but prepared at the moment. Busiate al pesto and capocollo very good. Very delicious meat. You wait a bit but the preparation takes time and it is worth the wait a bit. Bill in line with the portions, more than satisfied.
