09/10/2025: What an incredible surprise. Antonio’s hospitality is as memorable as his (and his mamma's) cooking, warm, genuine, and full of heart. Every dish tasted impossibly fresh, like the ingredients had been picked that morning and placed straight onto the plate. The antipasti were outstanding, the pasta truly the best we’ve had, and the meat dishes were perfection, our whole table was in heaven. And the bread… the bread deserves its own mention - simply unforgettable. We left with full hearts, full bellies, doggy bags, and a bottle of that wonderful olive oil. This was the best surprise of our week in the most beautiful town. We’ll absolutely be back. Thank you, Antonio.

05/10/2025: We had a superb meal. Delicious insalata container, filet of beef with forcing, and taratellini with poaching. Loved the beautiful interior. Service by Antonio was fun and excellent. Best meal we've had in Puglia!

12/09/2025: A homey place, but with excellent service. The Salento menu is spectacular. Pureed fava beans, octopus, and horse meat terrine, along with cold cuts. This is what we ordered, but if I'd had enough, I would have happily tried other dishes. The only downside is that the outdoor tables are very close to a busy road. If I return to Lecce, I'll happily return and highly recommend it.

26/08/2025: Spectacular meat. Recommended, but only meat. We had the mixed antipasto, and the buffalo mozzarella was nothing special. However, the beef fillet was an experience I haven't had in a long time. 4 stars because we ordered two amaros and they charged us €8. We were hoping it would be free.

27/09/2025: I had the mixed grill, and honestly, it was good. A word of caution: the sliced ​​steak was overcooked on the outside, with a slightly bitter grill flavor, while the inside was almost cold, which is a negative for a grill restaurant. Otherwise, nothing exceptional, but still average for other similar restaurants in the area.

19/09/2025: We stopped here for dinner and it was an excellent choice. The grill was impeccable, well-cooked and flavorful, and the appetizers, especially the potatoes, were really good too. We were very satisfied: this place is definitely worth a visit.

22/08/2025: Amazing start with clear explanation of the meat they offer, best wine pairing and a great presentation when the food was served. After that… they forgot about us… no desert, no coffee🤷‍♂️. For sure a glitch cause they were very kind and knowledgeable.

08/08/2025: Intimate place, professional and very attentive staff, the owner is always on top of things, a true professional. From the fries (not frozen) to the mashed potatoes, from the arrosticini to the steak, everything is top notch!!!! I'm on vacation in Torre San Giovanni and it was worth it.

12/10/2025: Last night we finally managed to find room for three at this grill restaurant! We booked a table, arrived, and sat down! We ordered a mixed grill as per the menu, along with a bottle of good wine...a bit of a wait, but it was worth it...excellent wine, plenty of grilled meat, so delicious we couldn't eat it all...and to finish, some liqueurs offered by the owner.... Excellent value, highly recommended!!!! See you next time...

07/09/2025: Yesterday, September 6, 2025, we went to Mamba!!! I don't know where to start... absolutely EVERYTHING was positive! The waiters were kind, fast, and attentive... congratulations to everyone. It's not a given that you'll find these qualities. Delicious pizza, exquisite dessert (cheesecake). The wait times... practically zero, we came in at 10:15 PM, and by 10:45 PM the pizza was already on the table. The prices??? Affordable, I'd say excellent. As for the meat... until next time, we'll try it!!! CONGRATULATIONS.

31/08/2025: Excellent restaurant in the historic center of Specchia, with the option of outdoor dining. We ordered some traditional appetizers, which were truly excellent. The meat is highly recommended! The restaurant also serves rotisserie and butcher.

14/09/2025: We arrived in Puglia yesterday and were hungry. Restaurants here naturally open later than in Germany. Calogero opens as early as 7:00 PM, and the reviews were very good. Absolutely right. We can recommend the restaurant without reservation. If you're looking for a sea view, you've obviously come to the wrong place. But the food is excellent. We had Scottish beef tagliata, grilled and fried vegetables, a pizza, wine, water, a sorbet, and espressos. All of the finest quality. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. 08/10/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant during a visit to Lecce. The beef burger was super good, the orecchiette with tomato sauce and delicious meatballs were delicious, the octopus with a soft and tasty sauce was tender, and the sausages were excellent. The waiter was kind and professional.

31/08/2025: Today we ordered a takeout fried food for two, which cost €16, but it was a typical restaurant portion for one person. Misleading advertising, and the fried food was good, but frozen. I was thinking of returning for dinner, but I want to avoid another disappointment. Furthermore, the prices for takeout dishes other than fried food are exorbitant. How much would the same dish cost if I sat down?
