06/07/2026: I've been to Cenacolo three times, including after my stay at the Hotel Galli, and I've always found the same quality. I've tried a variety of dishes, from traditional dishes to the meat option, all excellent in quality and cooking. The cuisine is carefully prepared, rooted in tradition but with a pleasant touch of creativity. The service is attentive, with the chef personally attending to guests and discreetly and courteously ensuring their experience is enjoyable. The wine list is good, and the house wine is above average. Excellent value.

05/07/2026: A very pleasant dinner at this restaurant in Livigno. Super friendly and helpful staff, they make you feel right at home. Quick and accurate service, delicious food. We started with two glasses of Franciacorta and continued with pizzoccheri and polenta with mushrooms and cheese, two desserts, and an appetizer. Everything was exceptional. A wonderful welcome, even for our big dog! Definitely recommended.

15/08/2026: Third time, and definitely last. We've been to this restaurant three times. Courtesy and friendliness have never been particularly prevalent, but we've always returned for a very simple reason: the fish, on previous occasions, was objectively good. This time, however, we left feeling completely disappointed, not so much because of a bad dish, which can happen to anyone, but rather because of the way completely objective and legitimate feedback was handled. We had initially ordered two rainbow trout, but were told they were out of stock. That was already quite unusual for a restaurant specializing in trout and with its own pond. So we ordered a salmon trout and a sliced ​​beef steak. The trout was good, as on previous occasions, and accompanied by good side dishes. The sliced ​​steak, on the other hand, was a disaster. Ordered medium rare, it arrived practically raw, extremely tough, and, most importantly, without any real grilling on the outside: more than grilled, it seemed boiled, with no Maillard reaction worthy of the name. My companion tried to eat it, but failed. I tried it too, and I literally couldn't chew it, so much so that I had to remove it from my mouth and put it in a napkin. Essentially, the entire cut remained on the plate. When the waitress asked if everything was okay, we replied with complete composure: "The trout was very good, but the meat, unfortunately, was inedible." The first solution suggested was to cook the meat further. We reminded the obviously inexperienced waitress that the problem wasn't just the cooking: the meat, already so tough when semi-raw, would only get worse if cooked further. The most unpleasant part, however, came later. We were informed that the dish would still be charged in full because, in their opinion, we should have contested it immediately and because the side dish (roast potatoes) had been eaten in the meantime. Two arguments that I find frankly absurd. First: to understand that a piece of meat is tough and inedible, you have to taste it. I don't see how we could have contested its texture before even putting it in our mouths. Second: claiming the full charge for a €22 steak because the accompanying potatoes had been eaten simply shows a failure to address the customer's reported issue. We didn't necessarily expect the entire dish to be removed from the bill. A gesture, even a small one, accompanied by an acknowledgement of the error would have been enough. That's what distinguishes a restaurant that cares about its customers from one that's only interested in being right and collecting every last euro. We've been coming to Bormio for about 25 years, and we're not just random customers. We had already been to this restaurant twice, and precisely because we had appreciated the quality of the fish on previous occasions, we chose to return despite the reception that wasn't particularly warm. There won't be a fourth time. A dish can be bad. A piece of meat can be faulty. It can happen in any kitchen, and that alone wouldn't have been enough to make me write this review. What I don't accept is that, faced with a dish left practically whole because it's objectively inedible, the priority becomes finding absurd excuses to charge for it anyway, rather than listening to the customer and acknowledging that something went wrong. For €22, you defended a bad dish and permanently lost customers who had been returning to Bormio and your restaurant for years. A perfectly legitimate choice. Ours, and that of our friends and acquaintances, equally legitimate, is to never return.

30/03/2026: Truly excellent restaurant, the atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and above all, quick to take orders. The restaurant's strong point is undoubtedly the food. I have no doubt: we'll be back! :)
