31/05/2025: I stopped for a quick coffee and the impression was immediately positive. The place is simple but well-kept, with a relaxed atmosphere. It seems ideal for an aperitif with friends. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. A place to keep in mind if you are in the area.

16/08/2025: The place has great views, and not much else. Very rude, unfriendly and unpleasant staff and manager. We had manage a booking, where the first to arrive and were placed at the back next a noisy air conditioner. When we asked to sit elsewhere they said every table was booked and were about to arrive (the entire place was empty save for us). A lot of options on the menu were not available and they refused to make any alterations to the menu. So much better value and better attitude elsewhere in this beautiful town.

08/08/2025: Rude staff, blonde woman in her 50s with glasses, I don't know her name, yells at the waitress in front of customers, "Go work at the market." I pointed out that this wasn't appropriate behavior in front of customers, and she rudely told me to leave a review. From such a famous place, I didn't expect unqualified staff... she's just fine working with sheep in the pastures.

I ordered a croissant, but the dough and cream were absolutely a NO, both tasteless. The coffee and milk in the cappuccino weren't exceptional, in my opinion.
Sorry, I won't be back!
10/06/2025: Pastry shop with a wide selection of products, including vegan ones. The croissants are good but the cream is perhaps a little tasteless, the raisin swirl is good.

19/04/2025: Un errore può capitare, ma ignorarlo è sinonimo di scarsa professionalità e poca riconoscenza. Uno scampo marcio nel fritto misto, segnalato subito al cameriere, è stato liquidato senza scuse né riscontro. Nessun gesto di cortesia al momento del conto, solo una risposta secca del cameriere che è riuscito solamente a dire che tutto il pesce era fresco. Deludente atteggiamento, zero attenzione al cliente.
04/04/2025: Great Venetian food! Especially the sauces are excellent. Venetian squid was excellent. Highly recommend this place.

I didn't notice it at first because it's on a crossroads, but once I found it, it was worth it.

04/05/2025: E' encomiabile la cortesia del personale, che di questi tempi è diventata quasi introvabile. E' economico nel complesso sia il caffè che la pasticceria. La pecca è la qualità di ciò che si mangia: se anche si passa oltre all'aspetto visivo e si ordina, il gusto e il sapore in bocca fanno venire i nodi al pettine.

20/06/2025: Oggi abbiamo visitato Chioggia e ci siamo trovati all’Osteria Penzo. Non avevamo prenotato ma i gestori sono riusciti a trovarci un posticino. Abbiamo mangiato i cicchetti come antipasto, gnocchetti buonissimi con vongole, radicchio e cipolla ed un’ottimo fritto.Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori molto cortesi.
19/06/2025: Ich hatte eine schöne Zeit in Chioggia und der Abend in dieser feinen Osteria bei Mario war das i- Tüpfelchen. Das Essen hervorragend! Der Service freundlich! Und obwohl man reservieren muss, bekommt man das Gefühl der einzige und beste Gast zu sein! Hier bekommt man gute Laune und verlässt das Lokal mit einem Lächeln. Vielen Dank, Mario!

03/07/2025: Today, after looking on the internet to make sure the place was open, I agreed with some people who were coming from via, to stop by your place, unfortunately when we arrived in front of the place there was a sign saying it was closed for holidays.
