13/08/2025: Excellent raw materials, well-composed dishes. Courtesy and excellent service.

05/08/2025: We stopped here on the way to the port of Civitavecchia. Everything was very good and the dishes were presented beautifully. Perhaps a little pricey, but that's normal for a coastal restaurant. The atmosphere was very peaceful since we were alone, I suppose because it was almost closing time.

24/08/2025: We came to Livorno to try the famous cacciucco and, trusting the reviews, we booked at this restaurant. The cacciucco was delicious, but it was a shame there was so much squid, just two small fish and no shellfish or mussels. We also had the Galileo tasting menu, which was delicious, but the mussels and beans had one—I swear, only one—mussel. The staff was very friendly and the service was very fast.

24/08/2025: We came specifically for the cacciucco, which was truly delicious! The service was excellent, the two waitresses were lovely, and the place was truly welcoming. Their homemade desserts were truly delicious! I highly recommend everyone to eat here if you find yourself in Livorno!

22/08/2025: The entrance isn't very promising (from the outside), but once inside, everything changes. Beautiful atmosphere with very welcoming and polite staff. What can I say about the food? It was worth all the miles you've traveled to try the famous Cacciucco. 10/10. Very generous portions and low prices! Everything was so good, we'll definitely be back. WELL DONE AND CONGRATULATIONS!

22/08/2025: The bread tasted odd, the pasta was chewy and the server forgot a few entrees. Server was patient, atmosphere was nice, but not a restaurant I would recommend.

07/09/2025: A small, indoor restaurant (hence the name Sottoscala) in Porto Azzurro, family-run. Service is prompt and the staff are attentive. We ordered a generous fish soup for two, excellent quality and fresh catch. I hadn't had a soup like this in a while. Highly recommended.

03/09/2025: The location was exquisite, as were all the dishes we ordered. The cuisine and service were top-notch and very organized, with high-quality express orders. Excellent wine selection. Highly recommended and very typical. Congratulations, guys, see you soon!

25/06/2025: Always worth a stop. Super friendly staff and great atmosphere

04/09/2025: Nice atmosphere, excellent pizzas, but extremely slow service. Weekday lunch, half-empty place, over 40 minutes wait for four pizzas (for us, it was a quick lunch on the way to vacation). Otherwise, it would all be a 5!

04/09/2025: Very tasty, especially the squid. I enjoy eating here every year, just like today. The food is simply outstanding.

11/08/2025: For years, whenever we're in the area, we've been driving to Campglia specifically for Chiara's ice cream. In fact, I can't think of any better ice cream! One of the rare features—besides the unusual and perfect ice cream combinations—is the judicious use of sweetness. Nothing is masked, but sweetened just enough to highlight the variety of flavors and allow them to unfold. In any larger city, this little ice cream shop would be a crowded and barely affordable place for gourmets. We sincerely hope that Chiara's gem in Campiglia Marittima can maintain its commercial viability!

21/08/2025: We ate at this restaurant one of the evenings we were on vacation. The location was nice and the food was excellent. It was a rainy day, and the same girl who had taken the reservation that morning had confirmed it, telling us that we would be either on the veranda or inside! When we arrived at the reservation time, we immediately noticed a lack of friendliness, with one of the staff being particularly rude to the customers. We were on the veranda, and at a certain point it started pouring with rain. They took all the necessary precautions, but the table still got flooded and we couldn't even finish our meal! After waiting about ten minutes, we asked for more suitable seating since we couldn't eat or have a peaceful evening. The same arrogant waiter, at 8:25 pm, asked us if we still wanted to eat after not even finishing our dish (we had been sitting for about 20 minutes). The rain can't be controlled, and rightfully so. I can't control it, and you, the owner, can't control it, but I think the friendliness of a restaurant is the foundation of the service you provide. It should have been him/her who said, "Do you want to move to a more suitable spot inside?"/"Can I have your dish remade?"—a truly unfriendly and unkind attitude. It's a shame, because the food was truly excellent. This was our experience. That doesn't mean it's a bad restaurant; it's just my personal opinion and the service we received.

17/08/2025: The food was good, the tuna steak was nothing short of fabulous, but it was a shame there was a mix-up when we booked and we only got one first course instead of two.

28/04/2025: Dopo il GTE io e la mia amica abbiamo fatto sosta a Portoferraio e qui Da Gianni abbiamo concluso in bellezza con un'ottima cena!! Cozze strepitose e orecchiette fantastiche. Pesce di qualità e servizio impeccabile! Grazie ad Andrea per l'accuratezza e la simpatia! A presto.

24/04/2025: Op basis van de commentaren gekomen niet teleurgesteld . Het meisje van de bediening werkte haar eerste dag maar deed het heel goed en was supervriendelijk . Eerst antipasto czldo di mare en cozze alla marinara , daarna orecchietti alla pescatora en spaghetti alle vongole , daarna een gedeelde suggestie ( vongole , cozze , vis in een heerlijke saus ) . Afgesloten met een amaro van het eiland . Een echte aanrader en absoluut waar voor een zeer democratische prijs . Een aanrader !
