16/02/2025: I had already tried the summer menu, completely different from the one found today (February) with all seasonal ingredients. I came with my family, a little skeptical, but when they tried the various dishes they changed their minds, the agnolotti with hemp ricotta and the arancine with beetroot were excellent, but the chocolate cake with a warm heart and pistachio ice cream was something exceptional. Welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff, who guide you in choosing the dishes. Excellent quality ingredients, tasty, well balanced in the various dishes. I recommend it to everyone, regardless of the diet you adopt, it will amaze you.

31/01/2025: They had really creative chocolate here and the person staffing the desk did a great job of explaining things. I felt I learned quite a bit about the Modican way of making chocolate, how to enjoy it, and what it's all about. I was impressed with the aged chocolate, which really does take on a huge amount of flavor. Walked out with tons of gifts.
19/01/2025: WHAT CHOCOLATE!
I did the tasting in January, and we picked up some products to take home.
Despite a small problem with the chocolate, I immediately reported it to the company by telephone who responded promptly and sent us a free box two days later.
For me this is work rigor and a prompt response to any need.
Congratulations indeed!

31/08/2024: Un affare di famiglia, sempre pronto a servirvi con lo stesso sorriso. Niente bla, bla, bla, solo caffè e granite da gustare senza moderazione in un'atmosfera barocca. Una menzione speciale per la ricotta del fine settimana, che è eccezionale! Grazie mille.
26/08/2024: I think I ate the best granita of my entire holiday throughout Sicily. My wife and I still remember it as something extraordinary. The lady who served us was very kind.

07/02/2025: We went to this tavern because we had seen the program 4 restaurants and since we were visiting Modica we decided to stop for dinner. The place was super full but the service was very fast, we tasted various typical dishes and I must say that they were very good and inviting, the staff was friendly and kind, we will definitely return.

21/01/2025: In 10 weeks of travelling in Europe in 2024, Ornato was a standout! Excellent food, service, atmosphere - as a family business, the owners should be very proud.
29/12/2024: Dishes with attention to the smallest details. The steamed cod and crispy octopus with caramelized onion are highly recommended. Super courteous and kind waitress. Before the arrival of the dishes we requested, we were served local breadsticks with local bread and an entrée of panelle with octopus and herb mayonnaise. Less positive was the fact that I paid 8 euros for a cover charge for 2 people and that I paid 12 euros for 2 bitters. In the vast majority of restaurants I found myself in, the bitters are always offered on the house and the fact that they were not offered is more than fair, but paying 12 euros for them seems a bit excessive to me. It is still a place that I highly recommend and to which I would gladly return.

09/02/2025: This restaurant in the countryside of the county of Modica is a real surprise. We tasted the fish menu and the word to describe it is spectacular. Excellent service. Cozy atmosphere just a little too noisy. €40 well spent.
25/01/2025: It would have been good if the mixed grilled fish, the swordfish, and the rustic potatoes weren't very salty. Also in the mixed salad there were pieces of lemon which not everyone likes and needs to be communicated.

14/12/2024: Arrived at 1:15 p.m., embarrassed to be the only ones, but received with the beautiful smile and welcome of the waitress. Beautiful wine list at very reasonable prices. We had a blast! And surprise, during our lunch the staff was preparing magnificent Panettone, we had the sight and the scent of brioche. Too bad we only have cabin luggage, otherwise I would have packed up for the family. With the coffee, the boss offered us a piece of brioche: a delight! A rare address open in December which does everything possible to satisfy passing customers. Thank you again for your welcome!

10/02/2025: Subliminal experience in this place with an ancient, beautiful taste that seems to find yourself in a mountain hut, or projected back into the 80s. You notice it immediately at the entrance, the welcome of Gloria and Grazia, wonderful hosts, very empathetic! The food is tasty, the cleanliness is impeccable and the service is super attentive and fast. It was a wonderful surprise on this Monday evening, not at all expected... but nothing is ever by chance. The family story headed by Mr. Minardo, you can read it in the photo. Naturally, after so much beauty of the place and delicious food, we have no doubt: we will always return here!
03/02/2025: Great place, you feel homey and well taken care of, the food is great - we got Rustico L'Arco (perfect!), Cavati with aubergines and tomato; for dessert Biancomangiare and Chocolate cake.

19/12/2024: Good gastronomy, super arancini. I have tasted several arancini but the breading and seasoning of this gastronomy almost border on perfection. Let's hope they continue like this. If then there is that girl whose name I never had the courage to ask him to serve them... what more do you want from life?
25/09/2024: Nothing to say about the onions, very good. Pay attention to the rest, I only realized after that the girl who served me gave me one euro less.

17/10/2024: Abbiamo cenato davvero bene in questo localino molto grazioso. Il proprietario gentilissimo e simpatico ci ha accolti "in casa sua" come se ci conoscesse mettendoci totalmente a nostro agio. Abbiamo mangiato una buonissima caponata con cacao, consiglio assolutamente di provarla, ed i bocconcelli, una sorta di involtini di pollo con all'interno spezie salsiccia pancetta ed uvetta accompagnati da una insalitina di spaghetti di zucchine e mandorle. I bocconcelli molto buoni e saporiti, per quanto riguarda le zucchine avrei preferito un contorno caldo invece di questa insalatina, buona, ma troppo fredda. Abbiamo concluso con un buonissimo cannolo scomposto. Camerieri gentilissimi. Vi consigliamo di provare questo ristorantino perché oltre alla cucina è bello scambiare quattro chiacchiere con il proprietario che vi saprà indicare una serie di posticino carini da visitare in zona.
