A place where someone who works there (perhaps the owner?) smokes inside and throws his cigarette on the floor twice is crazy! But let's move on to dinner. We arrive at 10:00 PM, ask to order, and a "waiter" takes our order mentally. Two linguine with clams and two pappardelle with scampi. To avoid confusion, we ask that no raw parsley be on any of the plates on the table because I'm pregnant. To confirm, we make the same request to someone else who was reprimanding a waiter for some indiscretion toward me given my pregnancy. After waiting for over an hour, we asked about our entrees and were told they were remaking them because they had been prepared with parsley (I have my doubts about this; a verbal order probably never gets through in a kitchen that serves hundreds of people!) After another half hour, at 11:30 PM, they handed us a large plate with the pappardelle and the tongs to serve them. "Hey, eat!" Some of the pappardelle had obviously been added later because they were still raw. After another 15 minutes, two plates of linguine with clams arrived, OBVIOUSLY with parsley. These were also all stuck together. We asked for the bill and a bottle of water when the linguine was delivered. Nothing. We asked for it four more times (twice from the same waiter and twice from two different waiters in the hope that someone would deign to serve us). The bottle of water arrived after we had all finished eating, so much so that we took it with us and drank it in the car. I went to the cashier and, as is only right, I pointed out what had happened to the person at the counter (and I was clearly angry). The "lady" turned to a third person, saying "vacation is bad" and other similar things. I pointed out her complete rudeness in addressing a third person instead of the person in front of her. And anyway, my dear "lady," I was very angry because after a day of work, I was passing through Taranto and it was dinner time, and we had the unfortunate idea of ​​stopping at a place like this. I have another two-hour drive ahead of me, pregnant with two children, and tomorrow morning my alarm goes off at 7 because I have to go to work. And you can keep the receipt (which you didn't issue).

16/08/2026: We ate there on Ferragosto (August 15th), and despite the busy season, everything was impeccable, from the dishes prepared to the cleanliness to the service. I had chicken bites with burrata and almonds: I've never tasted anything so delicious and delicate. Highly recommended.

17/12/2025: Lunch here was a regular stop when we were in the area on weekdays (since on holidays you have to book well in advance). Unfortunately, yesterday it didn't go very well... (Did the chef change?) The appetizers were prepared who knows how long ago, even the seafood linguine was nothing like the ones we've had the other times, the grilled vegetables were burnt, the fish was the same story, only the calamari was okay, the shrimp contained sand, the swordfish (Oceanico) tasted old. The black truffle tasted only of ice. And a stomach ache... We were hungry and we gulped down the ceca, we were actually asked at the cashier how it had gone, but to avoid controversy, we paid and left because we didn't want to ruin our day. Obviously we won't be back again.

14/12/2025: The appetizers were okay, but the mussels...sorry, I know a lot about fish...and they were dirty, salty, inedible. The waiters were very unfriendly. The pasta with the lentils was okay, but very salty. In the end, the owner didn't charge for the mussels. But no thanks. There are much better places in Italy to eat fresh fish.

21/08/2026: Unfortunately, kindness and courtesy aren't the order of the day here. After asking to replace a cream-filled pasticciotto because it had dark pieces inside, an anomaly admitted by the waitress herself (there shouldn't be anything but cream), and after waiting a quarter of an hour at the table with a cappuccino that had since cooled, we asked the waitress for information, who told us it was "too minor" to get a new pasticciotto. We went to the counter where they finally replaced our pasticciotto and we finished our breakfast at the table, but from a distance we noticed the owner making rude gestures and telling us to go to hell. When paying (from the owner), we were treated rudely, with an arrogance and rudeness we'd never experienced anywhere else. Disappointed, disappointed, and shocked by the treatment we received, we will obviously never return to this bar. ————————————————- Just a few necessary clarifications regarding the owner's response. It's not true that the waitress burst into tears. It's not true that we were the ones who put that black piece in the cream. For what purpose? It's not true that our behavior was repeatedly arrogant and rude, as witnessed by everyone present. It's not true that there are reviews that contradict what happened. On the same day, I found one that read, "Terrible service but good desserts." You should always be cautious when responding to reviews by writing false statements.

17/08/2026: Everything was good, the prices were fair. The service wasn't exactly impeccable, but that's okay. They were courteous, and that often matters more than accuracy. One of the best places to eat Margherita.

15/08/2026: Better than it looks. I had a family dinner at this restaurant. We were warmly welcomed, with small welcome samples. The appetizers, both raw and cooked, were excellent. The Fusilloni were very good, perhaps the portions were a bit small, but definitely worth it. The desserts also pleasantly surprised us. I tried both the cassata del canneto and the tiramisu. I recommend the cassata, it was truly balanced. The tiramisu is unique, good, but not your typical tiramisu. I enjoyed the ladyfingers soaked in coffee. The cream seemed more like custard than mascarpone cream. It was good, though. I could probably use more cream, but it's a small detail. We were more than satisfied with the wines, based on the recommendations of an excellent sommelier. Highly recommended.
