02/12/2024: We were a little disappointed due to the outstanding reviews. The ambience is unparalleled and the service is friendly. But the food only looked great on the menu. My fried potatoes with red cabbage were simple potato pancakes with raw grated red cabbage. This is not a high level of cooking and tasted a bit bland - like raw food. Still a nice evening, but you shouldn't go here if you appreciate very good food. Then it's better to trust the Michelin Guide.

05/11/2024: Amazing place! The food, the owner who took care of us and the atmosphere were amazing. They welcomed us really nicely and even put a candle on my desert as it was my birthday. We had tuna and octopus and both were beautiful. We also had an appetizer which was super nice and a delicious cheesecake. Highly recommend and book a table for sure as there are only few tables inside.

03/01/2025: I'm from Naples, traveling for work I found myself in front of this splendid place, intrigued I stopped for something to eat. Everything was delicious, excellent quality of the products and originality in everything, not to mention the staff, who were kind and professional, made me feel at home. I highly recommend and with an empty stomach 😁.

02/01/2025: Very suggestive place created in the typical white rock of Ostuni. Very kind and helpful service, they accepted us for dinner even though we arrived at 10.45 pm due to a mix-up at the airport. Good food, especially the slipper appetizer (the tomato was really good). The sliced ​​meat we took as a second course was tough and poorly combined with the accompanying cream of garlic and oil, a dish that could be improved. Recommended but with room for improvement in the main dishes on the menu.

17/01/2025: I was this evening and I highly recommend it. Nice, welcoming but chaotic place (you can also celebrate small occasions). Varied menu and normal prices (there is both sweet and savory stuff). Fast and friendly waiters. It is advisable to book. Nice plentiful aperitif platter 13 euros, two layer pancakes 5 euros all nice and plentiful. Beautiful open kitchen and beautiful display. The only flaw is finding parking. All welcome. Mostly hot stuff and fruits at the moment. Ideal for any time of the day. I'll gladly go back.

The price is reasonable for a seafood restaurant. Location is cozy, plates and glasses are very nice. From the outside (from the street) however, it does not look like a restaurant, so don't let that confuse you.

27/01/2025: Locale Spazioso, pulto e raffinato con ottimo servizio al tavolo. Ho pranzato domenica scorsa e posso dire che ho sentito la freschezza e bontà degli ingredienti a base di pesce negli antipasti. Anche se troppo elaborati con quel sapore agrodolce stile nordico, che a mio avviso non fa parte della cucina italiana del pesce. Ho preso 2 primi chiamati melanina che consistevano nel proporre lo spaghetto fatto in casa con il nero di seppia (con seppioline e simili) e una burratina di contorno del piatto. Si sentiva la pasta ben cucinata e fresca, ma non mi è assolutamente piaciuto ed ho lasciato metà piatto. Ho sbagliato a chiedere quel piatto perchè altro sicuramente l'avrei gradito. Abbiamo ordinato il sorbetto di agrumi che conferma la professionalità del ristorante. Posso dire di aver fatto una buona esperienza e che ci tornerei ordinando altri primi tranne quello suddetto.

The restaurant is located in an enchanting position, a stone's throw from the sea, with a relaxing and romantic atmosphere. The staff is extremely kind and professional, offering impeccable service. The menu is full of delicious options, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I tried almost all the starters together with my girlfriend: a riot of truly succulent flavors and the quality of the fish was excellent. As a first course we had a seafood carbonara and ravioli filled with purple potatoes with fish sauce, a culinary surprise in every bite, all accompanied by two glasses of white and rosé wine recommended by the house. We concluded lunch with a tiramisu and an almond paste tart filled with chocolate: the first (served inside a meringue), which personally didn't make me crazy, I would have simply added one as an accompaniment. The second course was served on a coulis of wild berries and was simply delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and with attention to the smallest details, with a Lecce stone ceiling that adds a touch of authenticity. It is the ideal place for a special dinner or to celebrate an important occasion, but also just to indulge in a quiet and elegant meal. In summary, the Underground Fish Restaurant is a great choice for those looking for an unforgettable dining experience. I can't wait to go back!

13/01/2025: Castro is wonderful, both the town and the sea. This restaurant was a surprise. Very nice inside, with outdoor seating. We stayed on January 3rd. We only ate a seafood salad which was served as an appetizer with 1 glass of wine. A little expensive €25 out of season, but the location is worth it. I can't imagine the prices in season 😊

03/11/2024: When I'm in Ostuni, I can't help but stop in this bar: it's now a fixed stop! The specialty is the "Nun's Tits," soft, delicious and always very fresh. I highly recommend the pistachio ones, which are truly irresistible, but I must say that they are all delicious and with attention to the smallest details. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is always courteous and attentive. A perfect place to enjoy high quality typical desserts in the heart of Ostuni. Super recommended!
