22/03/2026: I went here with a friend on March 21, 2026, based on a recommendation, and we were truly delighted. It's a truly wonderful place. The portions are quite generous and the prices are reasonable. But even more importantly, the service is friendly, attentive, and always smiling. The staff really goes out of their way to help you. Since it's quite a crowded place, you have to wait a bit, but it's absolutely worth it, because the service and welcome you receive are truly excellent. I recommend it to anyone who wants to try different flavors and to anyone who is thinking of going. It's a place where you can find a nice atmosphere, good food, and excellent service at a reasonable price. 20/03/2026: Good hot chocolate and great looking place does not compensate extremely poor service, that we received. Some of the staff was balancing between being just unhelpful and being simply rude. They seemed to struggle with many simple things. Getting into the place by the wrong door was a problem (from the outside, the entrance and the exit look like different places). Proposing alternatives for missing products was a problem. Explaining how to pay the bill (instead of leaving some piece of paper on the table and forgetting about us) was a problem. I had to ask 3 different people to find out, where can I pay. Getting any kind of attention from the staff without feeling like an intruder was not possible. What was possible, on the other hand, was getting a dirty chair. I didn’t realise, until I got up, having my pants fully covered with dust. It’s worth to keep in mind, the prices in the menu outside were different from the prices at the table by around 2,50€ on every ordered piece. The general vibe was, that it’s a place which is happy to take tourists money, but is equally happy to be condescending towards them for visiting. I don’t recommend stopping by, unless you enjoy being treated with contempt.

19/02/2026: We stopped for breakfast, and what a pleasant surprise the place was, the buffet, and the friendly waitress who also spoke French. Now we're dreaming of staying at the hotel on our next visit. A very pleasant place.

23/02/2026: It's 5 star. The food, the ambience, the location. I can say that it wasn't potluck for the one Sunday lunch I had because I have been going there for the last 25 years and I've never had a bad experience. I've seen this restaurant expand and grow and move a generation. They will be celebrating with much pride their 40th anniversary this year. This restaurant is famed for fish dishes but also do offer meat occasionally. Their menu is constantly updated and they offer a superb wine list. Everything is quality. I will never stop going to this restaurant which happens to be my favorite on Lago Maggiore.

23/12/2025: I went for a company dinner and we had a wonderful meal. You can see the attention to detail in the dishes: veal with tuna sauce, perfectly cooked to perfection, lovingly prepared Russian salad, excellent homemade tajarin, and a tender roast. Attentive and friendly service. Unfortunately, the location near the station isn't the best, but I highly recommend it.
