Very crowded and noisy place
08/03/2026: Tucked in suburban Novara, Il Barone Birra is a great little escape. It is a short walk, however, from centro Novara. Great selection of beers with friendly assistance on selection. The "local" is small and intimate, however, noisy which made conversation difficult. One needs to book for dinner. Food was very good, however the meals did not come together. My only real criticism, despite booking, was that we as a family with adult kids were rushed through our meal and out the door because unbooked clients were waiting for a table to free up.

18/05/2026: The place is located in a perfect, old-fashioned setting. It's a shame there are mice wandering around the tables outside. Inside, I choose a box where I realize the chocolates are practically expired. We order a macchiato, and we all notice that the milk tastes strange!!!
It's a shame; once upon a time, the management was truly serious and well-managed with professionalism.
An elite place that has lost its prestige.
11/03/2026: Two Aperol Spritzes for €7, as advertised, but it also says that prices may fluctuate, depending on the price of oranges or other factors, so in short: €8.
Which is quite reasonable for a resident of the French Riviera.
Inside a beautiful and peaceful courtyard.
Inside, music plays, and the walls are covered with sweets, jams, and other local products (or not 🤔).

15/03/2026: Comfortable, clean hotel with a garage, large, and quiet room! We slept very well! The elevators had a sign that the restaurant was open, complete with a menu displayed. Booking.com and the hotel website listed the restaurant among the amenities. Unfortunately, they told us it wasn't open...Saturday evening! I think it would be more appropriate to inform guests at check-in that they won't be able to use the restaurant! Other than that, we had a great time!
06/03/2026: Imagine a group of 24 friends who organize a weekend trip around Italy every year. This year, the Langhe! We stayed at this hotel, where we had a truly wonderful time. We decided to dine in the restaurant on the top floor. Given the number of people, we opted for a traditional set menu, which didn't disappoint. The staff were extremely friendly. The rooms were larger than ever and perfect. Highly recommended.
