20/11/2024: happened for lunch, it's not a place I would return to. at the reception, you are asked if you want a midday menu or an à la carte menu, giving an answer to this question without knowing the proposals remains a bit difficult, once the à la carte option has been chosen, we are directed to a room , if we had chosen paper we would have been placed in a different room and in my opinion this is not nice to look at. proposed menu at 16 euros, we opt for just one dish and order a bottle of wine and two desserts, thus seeing ourselves without knowing it teleported into the choice of menu card. account in my opinion not justified in terms of amount. failed lunch experience.

30/08/2024: Second time at this wonderful establishment the staff and foodwas fantastico! Can not wait to return. Pasta with clams and pizza with bresaola delicious!

29/08/2024: Was a guest at the Osteria, its so popular that i had to whait for 30min, well worth it great traditional kitchen and what looked like really good pizzas, goos selection of wines.

11/11/2024: E' un piccolo locale in cui la cameriera serve con abito tipico. La lista dei panini è molto fornita e il servizio è rapido. Le materie prime sono buone e ogni panino viene accompagnato da patatine non surgelate. Il costo sembra economico rispetto alla concorrenza, ma in realtà il panino è piccolo e poco farcito.

08/10/2024: Titolare scortese. Sono entrata dentro per ordinare mi hanno letteralmente cacciata dicendomi “veniamo noi, stiamo lavorando” Mi siedo e aspetto la cameriera Il titolare arriva al tavolo e mi dice “non si va dentro ad ordinare altrimenti la mandiamo via perché noi non abbiamo voglia DI ROTTURE DI CA**O “ testuali parole. Buffone, maleducato e e cafone, l’eleganza e il buon senso non è di casa li, per questo anche i camerieri sono sempre frustrato.

06/10/2024: Grazie al simpatico e professionale Skizzo ,oltre agli ottimi aperitivi al Balthazar si possono gustare dei spettacolari aperitivi anche al chioschetto dei giardini estensi e godere di un vista meravigliosa nel verde .Staff gentile ,soprattutto Marta che accoglie i clienti con un bel sorriso e tanta gentilezza.Cmq oltre alle bevande ,in questa location si può far colazione e pranzare deliziosamente.Un grande compimento a Skizzo che ama Varese e valorizza questa citta' con I suoi bellissimi locali sempre di livellanza .Un caro saluto da Onni e company ......

20/04/2024: This is a lovely casual restaurant run by a mother and daughter (the daughter is the chef). On a steep hill - you pass through a neighborhood to get there (it is a part of a hotel). Once you find it, it is a very pleasant surprise. Every dish was fantastic - fresh pasta, very nice meat and the dessert might be the best I've ever had in many years. The service was attentive and warm. I would go there again in a heartbeat.

19/10/2024: Era da anni che non tornavo in questo locale, che non è cambiato il suo aspetto. Non avendo prenotato ci siamo accontentati di un posticino improvvisato ( consiglio di prenotare soprattutto se si è un gruppo numeroso) il cibo e la birra perfetti come il mio solito cheesecake, sicuramente tornero. Il cameriere non posso giudicarlo perchè al suo secondo giorno di lavoro, credo della sua vita, faceva tenerezza ma la sua collega piu esperta l' ha sostenuto, quindi cena rilassante.Grazie

05/08/2024: When I entered the restaurant I was doubtful, but the welcome and service of the bartenders surprised me, especially in the explanation of the beers. I think the food melted my palate in every possible sense. A place where a nice cold beer and good food embody the happiness of human beings

28/08/2024: We ate here 3 times during our 1 week vacation. Absolutely recommended! There is nothing comparable nearby in terms of ambience, service and food. You can eat something unusual and more expensive as well as very inexpensive and still very tasty.

18/11/2024: In fact I can't judge the rooms or the quality of the dishes but the fact that it is a bistro (?) when in fact it is a restaurant. In fact it seems that a bistro is a step above the restaurant when it should be a step below. The fact is that the kitchen was already closed and so we asked for a platter for two and a drink. Between quantity and quality it was not excellent including the frozen blocks inside but the price was considerable. Like a Florentine steak for two in Milan with only the chopping board.

31/10/2024: Small place in the pedestrian center of Gallarate. The environment is pleasant, the beers offered are good and the choice of appetizers for the aperitif is good. As more substantial food they mainly offer pinsas with interesting fillings. I'll be back!

15/10/2024: Barley is home! Extremely friendly environment, EXCELLENT BEERS always new, constantly evolving cuisine that can satisfy all palates. More than highly recommended!

03/12/2024: Simple and modern style venue. Generous portions. I found everything very good, both the fish and meat dishes. The desserts are also excellent (above all the hot cake with fondant and ice cream). Fast service and very friendly staff. Good choice of wines. Street parking.

27/11/2024: Excellent service and excellent aperitif with colleagues and friends. Ideal place for aperitifs and dinners. Great price and plentiful food. I will return with friends soon and will recommend it to others.

03/07/2024: Yesterday, July 2, 2024, I celebrated my birthday, I will remember this time spent with family and friends very fondly. For the first time in this region, I ate bread with great taste, there is room for cheese which melts in the warm bread and with the addition of cold meats it is a great snack with beer. Very nice service. Thank you for a wonderful time and delicious food 🍻🍔🍟🌮

14/12/2024: Sartorelli is an institution, for years one of the best pastry shops in the Varese area and beyond. Wide range of choice, as they say, but the quality of the various products is on another level. The Varese dessert is typical, among the classic pastries the cannoncini and the shortcrust pastry esse stand out, the product that I personally use to give the reviews. The owner is a volcanic and very attentive person, the service was excellent, this summer I asked for a shortcrust pastry with jam for an event and in a couple of hours it was already ready. Maybe the prices are not entirely cheap, but just taste what you bought to forget about it!
