03/01/2026: A welcoming pub. We had a reasonably good meal, though nothing particularly memorable. The red wine, unfortunately, wasn't great. The wait was quite long, but the staff's kindness deserves credit, making the experience pleasant nonetheless.

28/02/2026: Let me start by saying that I'm from Naples and my partner is from Varese, and I was visiting her for Valentine's Day. One evening, we stopped at this place for two gin-based cocktails each. The price of about €10 per cocktail, plus a complimentary tray of six mini canapés (as we were told), seemed reasonable. It's a shame that the flavor of my drinks, with the gin I'd specified, didn't quite match the original. After four cocktails, we asked for the bill, and the owner, who had introduced himself during the evening, brought us two mini shots (not even the size of a regular shot) of a drink he'd created and invented, claiming they were on the house. Unbeknownst to me, my partner paid the bill; I estimated the total for the drinks was €40. However, the next day, I discovered that the receipt included an extra charge of "2 x €6 APE LIVELLANZA TOT €12," bringing the total to €52! The disappointment isn't due to the extra €12, but rather to not understanding the reason for this extra charge. Could it be for the two mini shots and the trays of mini canapés advertised as free? The only positive note is the friendly service from the young man at the table. I don't recommend this place based on my experience, both for the quality and the clarity of the bill, and especially for the contrasting manners. Angy

This is precisely why we chose Il Gestore for a company dinner this year: a choice that turned out to be perfect. It was a truly successful evening, characterized by high quality and a warm welcome! Everything we were looking for! Highly recommended, without hesitation. And of course... we'll be back! Bravo!

16/02/2026: Crostata is standard, as is linguine with sea carbonara. It's a shame there's no table on the terrace, even though there were two free tables for the entire two hours – not at the front, but on the terrace. It's also a pity the waiter refilled our wine glasses without asking as he walked by. Oh well, at least the village pub has knife rests. There are simpler restaurants that offer a more pleasant dining experience. I've heard the pizza is okay, but there are plenty of good pizzerias around.

02/12/2025: It's a spectacular pizzeria restaurant in every way, with a wonderful view of the lake. Plus, you can walk to the beach directly from the restaurant. I had an incredibly delicious risotto; we had a delicious appetizer and a second course of fish, both excellent and sublime. If you want to make a good impression and eat very well, make a reservation.

04/02/2026: Nestled in a busy area off the main road, this fantastic, very distinctive pub, shaped like a sailing ship, is a real treat. I love its originality. It offers excellent beers and unbeatable sandwiches of all flavors and, most importantly, all sizes. If you're craving a good sandwich, it's a strategic place to stop.

07/01/2026: I went on a Tuesday evening before Christmas: the place was quite busy; we sat down and were told there would be a long wait and that we could get an appetizer. We ordered some fried food to share, and they were good. The sandwich was good too, but we had a really long wait. The beer was good. To view the menu, you need to use your phone and enter your mobile number.

16/12/2025: I was invited to a company dinner. I wasn't familiar with this restaurant, and the experience was very pleasant. The place is clean, tidy, and very bright. The chairs are very comfortable, and there's plenty of space between the tables, allowing for conversation without interfering with other diners. The dishes were well-prepared and, above all, tasty. I enjoyed the tasting menu. Excellent! I highly recommend it. The fish was good and fresh. The owner is a wonderful person, always available and attentive to his customers. The young staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurant also offers free private parking. Il Beccofino is definitely worth a try. Thank you!

06/01/2026: A historic pub that's always been a sure thing. Open every day of the year, it's consistently high-quality beers and food at a reasonable price. I had a sandwich with gorgonzola, mortadella, walnuts, and arugula for €8.50 and bruschetta with tomato and prosciutto for €5.50. Highly recommended!

The owners' quiet, reserved style deserves great respect.

23/12/2025: We ordered the menu of the day. The main course wasn't bad, but the first courses were poor. Ham and mushroom ravioli: instead of ravioli, they were small, poor-quality tortellini, and the ham, instead of the classic seared and fried ham squares, was pieces of ham slices. The first course absolutely didn't live up to the restaurant's reputation. The desserts were good.

01/01/2026: We went on December 25th for Christmas lunch. The staff were very friendly and service was prompt, considering the number of guests that day. The food was truly well-prepared and delicious. The only issue for us was the location where we were seated, near a rock face (?). It was really cold, and the heating, which was present in the two main rooms, wasn't working. A real shame. The price was reasonable for the quality and service.
