07/03/2026: Tremendous old school cooking in a place that looks like it hasn't changed in decades. We were recommended to come here by the boss of La Salute which was closed for renovation. Terrific antipasti selection. Worth a visit.

25/02/2026: A historic restaurant in Gaeta, every time you go on a trip, you eat at Masaniello. The fish is incredibly fresh, the service is impeccable, and the prices are affordable.

The seafood risotto was overcooked and would have been fine for toothless elderly people, the fried food arrived cold, the seafood salad tasteless and salty, and lacking extra virgin olive oil. The price was high for the quality of the food and service. It's just a shame we had to detour about 150 km to eat these dishes.

26/03/2026: A very positive experience. I went here for a mid-morning breakfast and there was a really wide selection of pastries. I was pleasantly surprised by the croissants, which were super full of filling and excellent quality at a fair price.

26/01/2026: Terrible service. Since we're out of town, we inquired in the morning about the Latin night. We were strongly advised to reserve a table for aperitivo. We ordered two gluten-free appetizers and one regular one. We were asked to arrive between 7:30 and 8:00 PM. We arrived at 7:30 PM; the waitress was busy and asked us to come back in 10 minutes. After a colleague pointed out that we'd been waiting a long time, the waitress continued to use her phone instead of preparing our platters (not to mention how unhygienic that is), she constantly interrupted herself while serving other customers, was clearly annoyed, and spoke rudely to us and her colleague. We lined up to pay and were asked to let others go because they didn't know the price of the gluten-free platter. They didn't even offer us drinks; we waited in line three times. The famous aperitifs were finally ready at 8:40 PM: the gluten-free ones consisted of four dry pizzas/sandwiches, and the regular one was a slice of pizza with cured meats, sliced ​​salami, and olives. The gluten-free platters cost €12 each, while the regular one cost €4; absurd, triple the price for the gluten-free... and there wasn't even a single piece of cheese or slice of ham. Drinks weren't included, of course. Contrary to what the waitress had recommended in the morning, the €7 entrance fee, including a drink, would have been much better! I must say they were very disorganized, and this is absolutely no way to treat customers: if preparing the gluten-free was too complicated, there was no point in advising us to book the table with the aperitif; we would have happily come afterward. At least they could have apologized for the wait and for the girl's despicable and rude behavior. I understand the higher attendance given it was a Latin night, but a little more organization is needed... the tables were all dirty and had never been cleared. I won't even comment on the water dripping from the ceiling....

16/04/2026: We happened to be there last Easter, my husband had the baba and I had a zeppola, both delicious, I really recommend it, I saw that they also make artisanal ice cream, from the look of it it seems excellent

18/01/2026: It was Sunday January 11 Closed at about 2 PM. I don't know when they're open other than Sunday lunchtime. Since it's opposite the Rocca, a tourist attraction. Evidently they open for residents. A choice.
