24/08/2025: A historic restaurant in old Gaeta, tucked away in a small internal square. Exquisite food and local ingredients. Their signature dish, the calamari, is a must-try. Also try the sautéed truffles and the octopus alla Luciana. The waiter Franco is an institution, courteous and professional. The prices are fair, the tables are beautifully set and have tablecloths. The trattoria has been there since 1920... and it will stay that way because it's one of the best restaurants in Gaeta. It's not a tourist spot; it's for locals who love good food.

03/08/2025: The atmosphere is very elegant yet relaxed. We arrived by motorbike and they had no problem welcoming us. The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and professional at the same time. The food? Excellent. The prices are great. I highly recommend visiting. Marco and Teresa from Verona

21/07/2025: This pastry shop was recommended to me when I was at the seaside. The desserts were few and not very good... the atmosphere was very poor and not very well-kept. I think there are better places in the area.

03/07/2025: Terrible experience. They advertised a lot about the opening of a bar "with gluten-free and lactose-free products". I took my 8-year-old daughter to share a moment of pleasure with her friends and seeing the gluten-free bar area closed, I asked and was told that it is now only open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday! So long live inclusion... celiacs and intolerant people can only use the service on the weekend. Not only that, they didn't even have an alternative of a packaged gluten-free snack. My heartfelt compliments for this terrible disservice!

21/08/2025: It's always a pleasure to return to Alessandro and his legendary dad! Everything is delicious and tasty, especially the pasta with scampi and dried peppers, which I didn't try again out of modesty!

28/07/2025: I ordered the seafood pasta, grilled seafood platter, and a risotto. The seafood pasta and mussels were excellent, especially the mussels which seem to be a specialty here. But the grilled seafood was overcooked; the fish skin was so burnt it was inedible. The place has a charming local atmosphere, plenty of parking and the servers can communicate in english.

16/03/2025: Ho chiesto un Martini cocktail, mi hanno portato un cocktail in un bicchiere sbagliato, in cui si percepiva solo una quantità di limone esagerata. Gli stuzzichini consistevano in bustine di patatine, noccioline ed altro.. Esperienza assolutamente negativa. Mai più!

13/08/2025: The place is spacious, welcoming, and very well organized. The owner is a delightful person, and the staff is smiling and extremely kind. You can find everything here, from breakfast to lunch, tobacco, and lottery games.

11/08/2025: Beautiful, welcoming place, and excellent food!! Based on this, I'm sorry to say that I didn't expect the staff to be rude and impatient when choosing what to order, especially since according to the rules of the place, depending on what you choose, they seat you in different areas of the restaurant, which is unpleasant for those who come in a group because they're forced to split up! I don't think it's fair to split up a group or family who chooses a place to relax just because they're eating different foods, or to be asked to sit 40 minutes outside based on whether they're having coffee or bistro air! I think that to be in certain environments, you also need to have ways of approaching customers! Therefore, I don't think I'll return! 🛑 REVIEW UPDATE: Six years after publishing my review of the aforementioned place, I went back there thinking that something had changed.... alas, I haven't changed my mind, in fact perhaps it's even gotten a little worse: staff with little desire to work, not very empathetic, they left us the tray with the order without even serving it, after a certain hour the bathroom is closed even though the place is still during working hours and finally we also noticed the presence of cockroaches inside 😱😱😱

06/08/2025: Authentic Italian food with amazing taste! We loved our experience at Ristorante Bistro Da Luca! The food was really, really good – authentic Italian with an incredible amount of taste. Every bite felt like a taste journey through Italy. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We felt really welcome. The prices are also reasonable for the high quality of the food. My wife and I were both very satisfied and will definitely come back the next time we are in Italy. Highly recommended!

15/07/2025: Four of us came for breakfast with cappuccinos and croissants. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't the best: no table service and a rather long wait just to order. We asked for four cold cappuccinos, and when we asked, the employee at the counter reacted with obvious annoyance, uttering an unprofessional comment in front of us. Her attitude immediately conveyed a lack of enthusiasm and zero customer service. It's a shame, because the breakfast itself was very good: fresh croissants and well-made cappuccinos. It wouldn't take much to improve the overall experience, starting with the manners and a modicum of courtesy.

10/03/2025: Non posso non fermarmi, io mi fermo sempre, spesso e volentieri. Ormai è diventata una sosta d’obbligo sia per le sue specialità di dolci, la zuppa inglese mi fa impazzire . Anche il Babà con il gelato , SQUISITO. Il cappuccino, OTTIMO. E poi il personale gentilissimo è molto disponibile, complimenti siete i numeri uno in tutta Formia . Buon lavoro e grazie di tutto .
