11/05/2025: Ho vissuto i tempi d’oro del bar Vanni ( dagli anni 60) perché nato e vissuto a via Monte Zebio. Ricordo un bar di classe e di alto livello. Oggi è la caricatura di quello che era. La nuova generazione dei Vanni hanno tentato di cavalcare le nuove generazioni , ma sono stati disarcionati.
18/04/2025: Ma davvero c'è ancora gente che nel 2025 va a fare colazione o addirittura a pranzare in questo bar angusto??? lo ci sono capitato ieri, per caso portato da un amico. Abbiamo mangiato all'esterno sul marciapiede odinando delle pizze bianche farcite e un club sandwich.
Benvenuti alla saga dell'orrore: l'ordine e le pietanze ci sono state servite da una signora dell'est con una scarsa professionalità da fare paura. Sembrava gli rodesse il sedere! Ma è stato solo l'inizio. Con l'aperitivo ci sono state portate patatine mosce e vecchie di chissà quando, olive secche e un paio addirittura con la muffa, pistacchi molli anche loro vecchi.
Poi il club sandwich immangiabile con fesa di tacchino color viola (ovviamente lasciato nel piatto) e delle pizze farcite una addirittura con del salmone acido.
L'altra ugualmente immangiabile.
Praticamente l'unica cosa degna è stata la coca cola. Per finire il caffè

Apparently unpretentious bar, normal but with completely unjustified downtown restaurant prices.
We will not return and do not recommend.

31/05/2025: Worst place I have ever been in. Terrible service, did not bring me food on the menu just what they had. To top it off a bird took a crap on our food and he stilled charged us! Close this place down. Disgusting

The people running this place are totally dishonest. They overcharged us for food and drinks that were mediocre at best. The service was OK, but when we disputed the bill, the cashier was even more dishonest. The waiter avoided us like the plague when we came back to discuss our bill.

28/03/2025: Gustativement parlant aucun intérêt. Les pâtes carbo sont gluantes, les lasagnes n’ont pas un goût différent des lasagnes surgelés (ce sont d’ailleurs sûrement des lasagnes surgelés). Repas n’est clairement pas bon.
Désormais service rapide et les serveurs agréables.
Le restaurant peut dépanner si vous vous baladez dans la villa, mais ce n’est pas ici que vous pouvez faire des bonnes expériences culinaires
24/03/2025: È davvero vergognoso spendere 7 euro per due caffè che erano una ciofeca. La ragazza che ci ha servito molto carina. Il posto non è male perché ti trovi all'interno del parco ma per il tutto il resto è da evitare.

Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The pastry and gelato lacked flavor and freshness.
I expected much more from a place that looks so inviting from the outside.
Not a terrible experience, but definitely not one I would recommend or return to.
21/05/2025: AVOID THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY TRIPLE!!!!! 15 euros for a small cappuccino, croissant and a pastry! Rudest waiters ever. Been in Italy for 7 days and not once I had a bad experience. They charge 10 times the price and when questioned, they get funny about it.

12/06/2025: What a rort! Paid 30euro for 2 pieces of bruschetta and a large coffee! Was told by waiter there was no service charged on the bill and I should give him cash. Not happy when I told him I didn't have any. Not happy!
04/06/2025: If you noticed outside the bar there is no name of the bar itself because they want to omit it because of the reviews and understand if it is a place to go. They know very well that they are waiting for tourists and not to rip them off. Rude, not even in front of a person with a newborn do they take pity. 2 coffees 15 euros. Infamous. You are the shame of Rome.

27/05/2025: Unfortunately, it was a bitter disappointment. This café is clearly designed to rip off tourists: A simple Americano costs a whopping €10, a small pastry €7.50. A croissant was listed as €1.50. The impression that the prices are fair is deliberately faked. The restrooms were also in poor condition – doors wouldn't lock and there was no water for flushing. A complete disappointment – not recommended.
26/05/2025: The bald waiter snatched the money out of our hands. It was 90 euros, and he charged us 16 euros for service plus a tip. What a lie. He snatched 120 euros out of my hand without letting me see the bill. I wouldn't go back to this place, nor would I recommend it, due to the poor service.

31/05/2024: Non conoscevamo questo posto, ma ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il cibo era ottimo, il personale molto gentile ed il locale molto carino (tranne che per la presenza della TV, ma in una sola sala). Sono stati molto precisi nell'applicare il the fork. Lo consiglio vivamente. noi ci torneremo.
31/05/2024: La Taverna è ormai una certezza. Punto di riferimento per una buona pizza romana e anche la cucina casalinga proposta dal resto del menú non delude. Un posto da cui si esce sempre soddisfatti. Continueremo a tornare.

10/03/2024: Siamo entrati in un locale praticamente vuoto. Abbiamo ordinato antipasto e primo per noi e primo e secondo per le bambine.
Il rombo in crosta era freddo, tutti i piatti assolutamente insipidi per l'assenza di sale. Porzioni modeste (abbiamo ordinato due tipi di frittura per 3/4 persone abbondanti, ce ne hanno portate per massimo una persona ciascuna). Per i primi, nonostante non ci fosse molta gente (una ventina di coperti, compresi noi) ci hanno "consigliato di ordinare un solo tipo di primo perché poteva essere un problema (?????). Dopo un'ora ed il locale ancora vuoto ancora non erano ancora arrivati i primi (ne abbiamo ordinati 3 sughi differenti, per 8 persone). Quando sono arrivati, la pasta era scotta, il sugo sciapo, e di pesce, una leggera ombra.
Esperienza molto negativa e da non ripetere. Mi dispiace per le potenzialità di questo ristorante di pesce che però risente di mancanza di organizzazione, professionalità e prezzi più adeguati al loro scarso servizio.
