17/09/2025: I happened upon this neighborhood by chance and, in a hurry, just wanted a quick snack. I ended up ordering a sandwich with anchovies and zucchini flowers, and it was simply extraordinary: so fresh and so good, I hadn't eaten it in a long time. Thank you!

02/10/2025: It's no longer called 089 Cafè but Caffeina, I read it on the receipt...at least they served me that, but the friendliness and friendliness were absolutely zero! I came in for a coffee because I'd been told, a long time ago, that the coffee was excellent; evidently everything has changed because a few days ago (late September 2025) the coffee was absolutely mediocre. There were four people working (three at the counter and one at the register) and I was the only customer—I mention this to make it clear they were doing nothing—but they didn't even think to offer a glass of water with my coffee...Not to mention, as I mentioned, the total lack of friendliness...four pinched faces and not even the hint of a smile!! Gentlemen, this is not how you treat the public, especially in a bar... For €1.20, for a coffee that isn't excellent, a smile would be mandatory!! The only positive note, but it's far too little: the cup had been reheated.

02/02/2026: If I could, I'd give it zero stars. There's no table service, but they charge you for it. If you sit outside, you still have to go inside to order, but then they add a 50 cent surcharge per item (in my case, a water that would cost €1 cost me €1.50, a toasted sandwich that would cost €3.50 cost me €4, and two sandwiches for €2.50 each cost me €3 each). The price displayed is therefore different from the price you actually paid because they don't add a service charge, but simply charge you for everything extra. Not to mention the fact that tobacconists only accept cash. All illegal. I've attached photos of the receipt and the counter.

26/01/2026: Tourist traps!!! Run away!!! €8 for an 18ml Schweppes... their kitchen is full of microwaves!!! Reheated lasagna worthy of the Aldi frozen food aisle!!! Everything is disgusting!!! And I'm not being picky, they're taking advantage of their location and the view of Victor Emmanuel II Palace... And the exorbitant prices! The waiter has the nerve to ask for a tip!!!

18/02/2026: Worst choice in Roma. Low food quality, rude staff. They sell a glass of the worst wine for 6 euros. This is what "pizza" for 16 euros look in this "Italian" restaurant.Typical tourist trap.

A Sunday during the Christmas period with only 2-3 people working: a very long line and completely out of control, a situation evident from the start. The place is across from the cinema: I was forced to leave so as not to miss the movie, without eating and without receiving a refund for an order that never arrived. Poor management and total disrespect for the customer. Avoid.

29/06/2025: A scam... armed robbery. 3 coffees and 3 croissants for almost 30 euros... We weren't in a central area for such a robbery... SHAMEFUL

10/03/2026: Horrid experience. The worst place in Rome in terms of price. Two coffees and a tiramisu on the terrace... 28 euros. Don't even think about ordering anything at this place.

08/03/2026: The cacio e pepe wasn't very creamy, the Roman-style artichoke was straight from the jar in oil... but the only downside was the overpriced bill with incorrect entries and the bread and cover charge at absurd prices.

07/03/2026: The waiter was average, spoke little but enough. Dishes: Carbonara: Very tasty, the bacon was a little burnt but the dish was still good. (€15) Chicken Milanese: Tasty, generous portion. (€16) 2 beers (€16) Total: €51.50 (10% service charge) We received a small beer tapa in one of our beers, hence the lower rating. However, they gave us a dessert as compensation, a tiramisu, which was delicious.

05/03/2026: The seafood noodles were delicious, and the fish was also very fragrant and tasty. I usually don't eat fish because of the bones, but I still tried my best to eat it because it was so delicious. The dessert was also tasty but not too sweet. ☺️

18/07/2025: Provato per il nome Bocciato di fatto. Macedonia insapore, cortesia solo con gli habitué, prezzi da ristorante per servizio tipo fast food... Cancellato !

11/05/2025: Ho vissuto i tempi d’oro del bar Vanni ( dagli anni 60) perché nato e vissuto a via Monte Zebio. Ricordo un bar di classe e di alto livello. Oggi è la caricatura di quello che era. La nuova generazione dei Vanni hanno tentato di cavalcare le nuove generazioni , ma sono stati disarcionati.

08/03/2026: Nivis Restaurant: a truly unpleasant experience. The staff were cold, sometimes downright rude, and made us feel like we were bothering them. The owners, for their part, were haughty and unwelcoming, creating a heavy atmosphere. Slow service, a condescending attitude, and no attention to the customer. The only positive point: the freshly squeezed orange juice, which was surprisingly excellent. Otherwise, an address I certainly wouldn't recommend. 😒

08/03/2026: The food is tasteless, the meat is tough and cold. The spaghetti is tasteless. Avoid it completely. The prices are high and don't match the quality.

21/02/2026: I’m not sure why such negative reviews from others for this little cafe. Our experience here was very positive. The staff were very friendly and we thought the prices were fine. The maritozzi and caffe were excellent. They brought us water and we didn’t even ask for it. The bathroom was very clean too.

20/02/2026: Big Ben’s..BIG SCAM €28 for large beer, avoid at all costs !! Very rude also when challenged on his prices. Advertising spritzes for €6 & charging €9 said €6 was takeaway price .. utter joke. Has the audacity to also add service charge.., daylight robbery!!
