08/12/2025: We arrived for lunch (two of us) without a reservation and were immediately seated at one of the few remaining tables.
We opted for the mixed tasting menu and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was attentive without being intrusive and explained all the dishes to us, which were truly delicious.
07/12/2025: A nice place, excellent service, the dishes were not very hot and the meat was so-so.

15/09/2025: Everything was delicious, the pork shank was incredibly tender, and the breaded crepe appetizer was unmissable. Over 200 flavors of sweet crepes, it was almost too difficult to choose. The only small criticism is that there's no printed menu; they just tell you the menu verbally, and too quickly.

05/12/2025: The beauty of the place alone is worth a visit, but the quality of the pastries and coffee are superb.
You can tell the ingredients used are top-quality: if there's a slight price difference compared to other pastry shops or cafes, it's completely justified.
The mignon pastries are little masterpieces, the croissants are truly croissants (you can taste the butter), and the putizza is insane.
It's always a pleasure to chat with Gianluca, the owner, a cultured guy passionate about his work.
We'll definitely be back.

14/12/2025: Café Tommaseo impresses with its elegance and typical Viennese charm.
Unfortunately, the seating (inside the café) is quite cramped.
The service staff could be a bit more attentive and friendly.
The selection of desserts is good, but it falls far short of Austrian confectionery standards.
The issues mentioned are minor and shouldn't deter anyone from visiting; Café Tommaseo is always worth a visit.

08/11/2025: If you want something local, real, incredibly good, completely unique, fantastic service and run by people who love what they do…then choose this place. We wish we had a larger appetite for more dishes because they all were fantastic. The fritto misto was perfectly fried and salted, the gnocchi with fish was tender with a wonderful broth, the paccheri with straciatella was out of this world good! The house wine was delicious…and the dolce?? A raspberry, fried pear, whipped cream and biscotti “tiramisu”??? Worth every single incredible bite. We will be back every time we are in Trieste.

01/11/2025: We chose this restaurant to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and it didn't disappoint. The intimate atmosphere in a room all to ourselves was warm, the service impeccable, and the dishes, from appetizer to dessert, completely satisfied us. The fresh 2 kg sea bream, baked in the oven, recommended as a main course, was the highlight of the evening. We've been there before for other special occasions, and it's always a sure thing. Congratulations to everyone, and thank you for making our nephew, who doesn't eat fish, happy too. Keep up the good work!! We'll definitely be back!
25/10/2025: Excellent seafood restaurant on the Trieste waterfront.
Charming atmosphere. A lovely menu with appetizers and first courses that will make your evening enjoyable: the spaghetti with caperozzoli (very tasty small clams) is a must.
Second courses include a wide selection of fresh fish, cooked to order. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Trieste.
