21/09/2025: The lady who runs the counter, registers, and cleans alone will be given a halo. I hope they pay her double, since she does her best to make up for the lack of staff, and therefore works for two. There were awkward moments when, with several people waiting, and some who had already abandoned the pastry shop due to the long line, she found herself alone having to put away the cups before making coffee. Despite this, she maintained exemplary behavior, friendly and smiling despite everything. A person who appears to be the owner is wandering around, occasionally and clumsily, between phone calls, removing a few cups from the tables outside. A completely inadequate help. Given the high prices and the lack of table service, one would expect more. It's a shame, because all this does not do justice to a historic pastry shop, revived thanks in part to the heartfelt acclaim of the Trieste people, who continue to frequent it with affection. The anonymous instrumental music is a gem, sounding like a lullaby, interrupted by commercials and never resumed. At least pay for the monthly streaming service, come on.

10/08/2025: I've been there several times and have always been more than satisfied. Fast and friendly service, delicious food (I recommend the slow-cooked pork shank... amazing!), and incredibly low prices. The last time, six of us ate and drank so much we couldn't get up from our seats, including desserts and three liqueurs, for a total of €189!

07/10/2025: A name that's a guarantee. You eat excellently in a beautiful setting. I absolutely recommend it.

04/10/2025: Interesting decor and atmosphere. You're immersed in a bygone era. We were seated at a table and were assigned because we hadn't made a reservation. The owner was apparently sitting at a desk right next to us in the dining room, taking calls, processing bills, eating sandwiches, and looking at his Instagram. It's funny, aside from that, the menu is relatively small and manageable, with daily specials or fresh catch, but prices aren't communicated. The food overall was delicious. We had crab. We had fish marinated in onion and vinegar. However, I've had better versions. Overall, the food was okay, the accompanying wines were also very good, but overall, you could call the evening a success, not outstanding.

08/09/2025: We had a great 6€ Tommaseo coffee and a piece of cake for 8€ was also good...but the atmosphere in the coffee shop was great... btw the entrance is to the right of the restaurant entrance.

23/09/2025: I never come to Trieste again, often for my sister, stopped there for 2 house cuts and a latte macchiato, total 15 euros because I heard the accent, not from Trieste, shameful

25/04/2025: Wenn man nicht auf Ketten steht und eher entspannt, wie in alten Zeiten einen Kaffee genießen will, ist man hier richtig. Das Ambiente ist das Gegenteil von Starbugs: Also, wem das gefällt, der sollte hier nicht herkommen! Ein kleines Cafe, old school eingerichtet mit Holzvertäfelungen und Bezug zur litherarischen Historie von Triest. Autentisches Personal, hilfsbereit und nett. Kaffee und Croissants perfekt. Hier kommen viele Einheimische mal eben rein, um einn Nero zu schlürfen ... Absolutes Muss für die, die das Ursprüngliche lieben!

05/10/2025: I stopped by this restaurant on a whim, but it was so delicious and comfortable that I ended up staying longer. Every meal was delicious, but the baked cod and pasta were especially exquisite. If I'm ever in Trieste again, I'll definitely come back. I hope you all enjoy it too!

28/09/2025: A really nice little place. A bit hidden away, as there are no billboards. The starter was very good. My grilled calamari could have been a bit softer and spicier, but that's just complaining at a high level. A very friendly, family-run restaurant. Highly recommended.

04/10/2025: Ordered takeout tonight: a 4-cheese sandwich with spicy salami 😋😋😋 and generous jacket potatoes 🙏🏽😋😋😋 (we've ordered from them before and have also been there several years) everything hot despite the humid/chilly weather outside. Rider was very kind and 20 minutes early 🥰 and I know for sure they have a lot of work (my daughter is there for a birthday and there are about 15 of them 🙏🏽) everything was special and super good!!! Thank you
