04/03/2026: I returned from "Momento 25" with mixed feelings. Let's start with the strong point: the food. The dishes show excellent potential, with well-rounded flavors and quality ingredients that are definitely worth a try. Personally, I'd expand the dessert menu, perhaps by bringing something with my coffee. For example, a simple sbrisolona cake costs €4... considering the number of guests, it's enough for a day. The service was also excellent: the staff were courteous, attentive, and ready to offer advice. Unfortunately, the only downside is the interior. The restaurant is located in a beautiful historic building in the center of Carpi, but the architectural potential seems almost wasted. The decor appears haphazard and inconsistent: between posters on the walls, Lego flowers, black sculptures, and a bookcase, the atmosphere feels a bit confusing and lacks a clear identity. The outdoor space is much more pleasant and well-kept, but unfortunately, it's unusable in the winter. The price is average and fair for the quality of the food.

18/01/2026: Let me start by saying that the only negative thing is the quality-price ratio. In terms of flavor, everything was very good, really! The staff were helpful and friendly, and the atmosphere was welcoming. However, considering the price paid at the end of the meal, I don't think it was exactly right... The portion sizes were really small, a bit too much for a main course, as was the case with my "Open-faced gratin squid with potatoes, mushrooms, and porcini mushroom powder." The selection of chocolate and biscuits was equally... well, quantitatively unsatisfactory. It's a shame, because in other respects, it was truly excellent.

29/06/2025: Materie prime buone e un bel bar spazioso,pulito e si sta bene,unica pecca per quanto mi riguarda un po' troppo lento il servizio anche se di sabato e c'era parecchia gente,aspettare 25/ 30 minuti per dei cornetti già pronti e per la preparazione di tre cappuccini mi sembra un po' troppo....

21/02/2026: Yesterday they lost two customers. Definitely. A friend of mine and I ordered takeout sandwiches, and the meat was full of connective tissue that was really hard to chew. We even tried the meat on its own, and I can say it had virtually no flavor, a disappointment. This wasn't prime ground beef at all, it wasn't even second-grade, probably third-grade... Unfortunately, I repeat, a total disappointment.

12/02/2026: Second consecutive delivery with inedible meat, no response to emails so far. It's a shame, everything had always gone great in the past, but now there's clearly a problem that needs to be resolved.

27/02/2026: A delicious traditional Moroccan dinner! Giorgia and Hassan were helpful and perfect in their service and explanations of the dishes. Italo welcomed us with a kindness that is rare to find these days. Congratulations on everything, truly.

15/02/2026: I walk in and ask for a plain coffee. As it happens, I find two euros on the floor. The waiter notices me bending down to pick them up and approaches me, threatening to give them to him because, according to him, "they belong to the establishment." I politely refuse, explaining that since they have an automatic change machine, they can't belong to the establishment but to some unfortunate person who lost them. At that point, the waiter tells his colleague not to make me a coffee and invites me to leave. I leave the two euros there and leave. My first and last visit to this place, who knows? Maybe the coffee was even good.

04/12/2025: Historic place. Absolutely worth a visit. Unfortunately, this review is out of date! Today I saw obvious deterioration! Poor and sloppy service... It almost seems like it's changed management, but for the worse! Much worse!

03/12/2025: I've been going to Zanarini's for ten years, but today something surprising happened. When I asked if the traditional panettone contained almonds, the saleswoman started talking loudly, saying that someone had even fainted in front of her because of it, and maintaining that, even though it's not indicated, almonds "are everywhere." She then walked away, leaving me with the product in hand, to discuss the matter with another colleague while laughing. When she returned to speak to another customer, I pointed out that certain information can be shared without being so aggressive. Her response was, "That's just how I am." I'd rather not comment... That said, the panettone—both traditional and chocolate—is delicious, as are the coffees. It's still a must-visit every time I return to Bologna.

10/10/2025: It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The food was very dry and stale. The portions were very small. The owner was very rude. I will never go back. I don't recommend it to anyone.

16/01/2026: Seeing a 2cm x 2cm erbazzone for €1.50 (the most expensive in Reggio) is absurd. For breakfast with the family, you spend €25, and the erbazzone and cannellini beans have become tiny (damn SHRINKINFLATION). This bar used to be the hub of the neighborhood, now you have to be a millionaire to have breakfast there.

20/11/2025: The three stars are all for the quality of the products. If in the morning, when the place was full, there was one person serving the food and another serving the coffees and cappuccinos, the latter would be served hot. It's unthinkable that the person taking the orders leaves to go to the coffee machine and then leaves to return to the ordering machine. The service should be adequate. The stars would be 8.
