17/01/2025: 6 Gennaio 2025 Abbiamo prenotato per le ore 20,00 QUESTO RISTORANTE tramite conoscenti, in attesa di andarci visitiamo il Borgo innevato trovandolo molto caratteristico. Intorno alle 19,00 decidiamo di anticipare l’entrata in ristorante sperando che il proprietario non ci facesse difficoltà per questa variazione di programma e meraviglia della meraviglia, ci accoglie un signore di nome Andrea che non soltanto ci accoglie ma per farci stare ancora più caldi accende il camino arricchendo la stanza già ricca di colori con il suo dolce tepore. Il locale è bellissimo e accogliente. Il proprietario Andrea ci ha messo subito a nostro agio e in attesa che Barbara la moglie continuasse indisturbata a preparare le pietanze ancora non pronte e a noi riservate, ci intratteneva dando informazione sul posto e delle abitudini della gente che ci abitava servendoci nel contempo anche del vino rosato acqua e pane al forno cosparso con olio d’oliva. Racconto questo ed è il pensiero di tutti noi per la simpatia di Andrea sempre molto gentile, attento e sempre con il sorriso. Adesso passando alle pietanze, chi cucinava, era Barbara la moglie mentre Andrea ci serviva dandoci spiegazioni dettagliatamente su ogni piatto e dove e chi gli avevano fornito i prodotti. Gustando i piatti particolari con i prodotti del posto siamo stati riportati indietro alle nostre tradizioni contadine e per questo ringraziavamo la sig.ra Barbara che con passione e amore ci aveva fatto provare piatti speciali con abbinamenti azzeccati, assaggi gourmet con la compagnia dei buoni vini della casa. Abbiamo passato una serata magica e speciale con la compagnia di Andrea a Barbara. Io non so quando, ma ci ritornerò, per questo lo consiglio a chi vuole mangiare bene e conoscere Andrea e Barbara persone veramente eccezionali.

17/01/2025: Posto carino, lui simpatico, peccato che poca scelta e troppo formaggio, ridicole le porsioni, ti riempie di pane: 1+1 spicchio di formaggio, un cucchiaio di ceci, uno di rapa, un cucchiaio di pomodoro secco, mezzo bicchiere di pasta e lenticchie, 20g di gnocchi, una fetta di primo sale, una fetta di torta, con un cuchiaiono di panna, e un liquore. Un po di vino. RIDICOLO!

18/01/2025: il servizio è rapido e buona l'accoglienza, magari un po' freddo e frettoloso nel servire, ma comunque sempre professionale. I piatti sono abbondanti e interessanti le proposte alla carta. menù semplice che rispecchia le tradizioni. il locale molto bello, eviterei il tavolo fronte bancone bar e cassa.. proprio davanti l'uscita dalla cucina. i piatti sono gustosi con i prodotti della zona .

08/02/2025: Bella scoperta, il titolare Sandro in particolare e tutto lo Staff, sono gentilissimi. Cucina tradizionale ben rivista, prodotti di alta qualità, anche il locale è accogliente, con volte a cielo di carrozza. Non posso indicare il prezzo, ero ospite. Consigliatissimo.

04/02/2025: Siamo stati per tre cene di fila presso questo splendido ristorante e quindi abbiamo assaggiato tutto il menù. I prodotti veramente di alta qualità consigliatissimi i primi soprattutto i maltagliati fatti in casa con zafferano salsiccia e tartufo veramente ottimi per non parlare degli gnocchi al sugo di cinghiale e i ravioloni con gorgonzola e noci spettacolari. Gli antipasti caldi di carne particolarissimi ed eccezionale il tagliere con affettati e formaggi veramente speciali non il solito tagliere. Il personale estremamente professionale e attento alle esigenze del cliente sia la nostra cameriera che il proprietario veramente una persona speciale, il nostro cane labrador Olaf è stato trattato con i guanti bianchi con piccoli assaggi di tagliata. Ringraziamo ancora tutto lo staff e il proprietario per la gentilezza e sicuramente quando torneremo a Celano saremo lieti di tornare in questo splendido ristorante. Fede, Gabriele e Olaf

07/01/2025: Only 5 stars because I can't give 100. We stopped on December 28th during a trip and unfortunately for us the place (very nice and warm, it conveys the feeling of eating with the family) was full because there was a birthday. However, we decided to take a sandwich and a crouton to take away and WE COULDN'T HAVE MADE A BETTER CHOICE! Despite the inconvenience of eating in the car (and the fact that my white sweatshirt was leaking) it was the best porchetta sandwich I've ever eaten! Two HUGE slices of bread which to say is spectacular is an understatement, the sauce, the porchetta, the bacon (I had the Terni, while my husband had a toasted porchetta, burrata and rocket)... I dream about this sandwich at night. Plus they are very kind and cute, they apologized a thousand times for not being able to seat us inside. The prices are more than fair for the amount of food served. Spectacular, highly recommended, a fixed stop every time we pass by there, from now on. Thank you!❤️

15/02/2025: I have never liked or understood the meaning of those who write reviews without actually "trying" the cuisine of a restaurant, but this morning the kind worker I met inside this restaurant made me change my mind. 11.30am they were preparing the room for lunch, I went in and asked if they kindly had room for lunch, the gentleman replied "for how many?"; I “2”; he says “I'm sorry it's all full”. I stay silent, I look at him and he looks at the reservation book and says “I'm sorry”.

01/02/2025: Da premettere che siamo turisti che provengono da Napoli, veniamo a trovare nostra figlia che vive e studia qui e di ristoranti tipici all Aquila ne abbiamo girato quindi dovendo comparare direi che il locale come già detto è molto carino caldo e accogliente ,il tema signore degli anelli sicuramente affascinante soprattutto x famiglie con i bimbi ma ciò che ci ha soddisfatto è la qualità del cibo in particolare gli arrosticini, per noi i più buoni mangiati all Aquila ma anche i supplì le bruschette e le patatine fritte fresche di ottima qualità accompagnata da un ottima birra alla spina per finire ci siamo deliziati con una cheesecake da paura .Non da meno la gentilezza e accoglienza del papà del proprietario che ci ha offerto cantuccini un liquore tipico all amarene ed è stato una persona squisita con cui chiacchierare e scambiare esperienze .Ritorneremo a provare la carne irlandese sicuramente con molto piacere a presto 🔝

17/12/2024: I have returned, for the umpteenth time, to this restaurant and I must confirm with great pleasure what I have already written previously. The very pleasant atmosphere of the place and the cordial welcome of the two owner brothers prepare you for a lunch that will certainly be remembered for the quality of the dishes (all from the gastronomic tradition of Central Abruzzo but with a skilful mix of innovations by Tina and Marcella who work in the kitchen under the watchful eye of Mamma Lucia (a living monument of catering in the city of Sulmona). If we then add the type of room service carried out by Marco and Giacomo with their collaborator Emilio, absolutely flawless due to the consolidated precision and courtesy, we understand why eating in the Ristorante da Gino is always a very pleasant experience and why the restaurant is a sure point of reference in the gastronomic panorama of the city of Sulmona.

06/12/2024: Family-run place where professionalism, competence, friendliness and friendliness in the service are included in the price and where the customer feels pampered. When I'm in Sulmona it's an obligatory "stop": it's always nice to go back!!! The cuisine is excellent, it's a shame it's closed in the evening for dinner. Better to book.

09/02/2025: I have eaten in these restaurants and I can say that it is not worth it especially for the service, delivered to the wrong tables, orders taken badly and glasses that taste like dishwashers and after about 30 minutes of waiting I get a cold focaccia as if it had been prepared the day before.

09/02/2025: Superb family run restaurant and b&b. Absolutely delicious pizza and pasta dishes. Uber friendly staff and patrons. Ideal place to stay few days and do daily visit to the surrounding villages. Ask the locals for recommendations. They know better. Home made traditional Italian food at its best. Highly recommend.
