25/06/2025: Splendid and unexpected historic restaurant, I will gladly return next time. The cuisine manages to express both the Italian and Tyrolean soul, with very convincing results. The attention to detail and the professional and friendly service complete the picture.

17/06/2025: We ate there today on our bike tour. You can sit inside or on one of the two terraces. The food was delicious; I had the trout-filled ravioli and my wife had the Schlutzkrapfen. There's a trout pond at the restaurant where you can fish.

20/06/2025: Very nice ambiance. The starter and bread were excellent. The three of us ordered the steak tartare for our main course. Unfortunately, it tasted very strongly of egg yolk, so we only ate two-thirds of our plates. The staff's reaction was very disappointing. I mentioned the strong egg taste, but it was ignored. Since we left a lot of food, we would have expected a different reaction from a restaurant with such a reputation. Our mistake was not complaining about the food immediately and sending it back. We're probably too polite for that... We had to pour ourselves the wine, and the bottle of water was taken away, even though it wasn't completely empty. We must have not had the best day.

26/06/2025: We had a wonderful time at the Ansitz Steinbock in June. Where do I begin: Elisabeth, the owner and soul of the house. Her warm personality and incredibly good taste make the hotel something truly special. Every member of staff is super friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed the fine dining, and I can wholeheartedly recommend it—it's a truly special experience! An incredibly fantastic menu by Rene Tschager, with Juri accompanying us just as brilliantly. Preserving tradition and mixing it with modern elements—that's exactly what they did here. We also had a fantastic time at the Villander Alm—an equally unforgettable day that defies words. What didn't we like? That we had to leave today ;) But we're sure we'll be back! THANK YOU for this unforgettable time!

24/06/2025: We spent three wonderful days in the Steinmann double room. The room is the smallest in the house, but still very spacious and offers a great view of the mountains. It also has an en-suite bathroom, which, like the room, is furnished with high-quality furniture. Unlike the suites, the room (which we knew) doesn't have a sauna, but that didn't bother us. The welcome from Elisabeth was warm, and the staff was generally friendly and accommodating. Even special requests, such as breakfast on the terrace, were no problem. The food was very good both in the fine dining and half board options; René Tschager, the new chef, is doing very well. Elisabeth also made it possible to have an aperitif and chat with the chef beforehand, which was great. Breakfast was small but excellent. There's a buffet and an a la carte menu from which you can choose, for example, egg dishes. We would have appreciated an even larger selection of cheeses or vegetables, but that's just nitpicking. The coffee is excellent. The prices are rather high overall (€10 per 0.1 glass of wine). And you shouldn't stay here just for the spa/pool. There are, of course, better options in South Tyrol. But they make an effort: guests use the pool at the Hotel Hubertus, which is a 5-minute walk away. Overall, we're happy to give it 5/5 stars because the hotel impresses with its high culinary finesse and beautiful rooms :)

27/06/2025: Beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped holiday apartments with balconies and mountain views. Perfectly located in the heart of Partschins. Includes free entry to the wonderful Partschins outdoor pool. Top-notch service, including a fully automatic coffee machine in the hallway, is available to all holiday apartment guests. They can also be booked for just a few days, making them a popular choice when passing through for a hike.

10/07/2025: Had a delicious dinner after a long motorcycle ride. The next morning, we also opted for breakfast. It was truly superb quality and the staff were incredibly friendly. You'll receive warm, genuine service here. We also had coffee before our last ride in the early morning and were treated to a chocolate croissant. I'll definitely be back. 14/01/2025: What makes a hotel special today? In my opinion, it is the people who work there and the philosophy behind it. It is also about paying attention to nature and respecting the environment, e.g. the traditions in the region. It is also about letting the guests participate in it by introducing them carefully, without the need for rules. That is an art these days. This is crowned by a lavishly laid table, without waste and excess, but with the special composition of the dishes and the selection of ingredients. You will find all of this at the Gasthof Kohlern. Authenticity among the people who work there. Respectful interaction, lightness and relaxedness as a natural coexistence - guest and host. Exciting stories, integrated into nature. You don't want to leave there and yet it may be precisely the leaving that makes you look forward to the specialness of coming back. And every year there is something new to discover, selected with great care and love. Thank you for being there, dear Gasthof Kohlern team.

13/01/2025: The hotel to relax and recharge your batteries. Josef and his crew are really special. The last time we were there was 10 years ago. Now it worked again and we booked a room including half board over the Christmas period (December 23rd - December 26th, 2024). I summarize the hotel services as follows: 1. Hotel The house has a 125-year-old history. Josef spared no expense or effort to modernize everything. A living room with an adjoining open fireplace (wonderful), a restaurant with a panoramic view of the mountains high above Bolzano, a top wellness department... The infinity pool and hot tub (open despite the cold and it was a show to be in there) A wine cellar, a seminar room (all very, very tastefully designed) 2. Massages A "must", the relaxing massage was a dream 3. Food & Service The absolutely highly professional kitchen surprised us every day with first-class dishes. We enjoyed every dish in the multi-stage episodes. The 4-6 courses were an explosion of enjoyment. It's really amazing what the kitchen does and the quality of the food that comes to the table. All, but absolutely all, of the service staff were professional, quick and absolutely friendly. Here I felt that the crew was behind Josef's concept. So it's really fun to be a guest 3rd room We had room number 6 on the 1st floor An ideal room for us with a balcony and the view over Bolzano was brilliant The cleaning was simply perfect... and we and our dog 🐶 "Oskar" felt really comfortable. Conclusion: The house was already great 10 years ago. Today Josef and his team have once again made a leap forward in terms of quality. I am personally pleased that there are still such first-class hotels with top-class cuisine and service. Celebrating Christmas with singing in the in-house chapel was something very special for us. We just say 'thank you' for this great time. This house made our Christmas 2024 perfect. We'll definitely be back💪

07/03/2025: excellent restaurant/pizzeria. Well furnished environment, in typical mountain style. Excellent pizzas tasted by the guys in the group while I ate a fillet with green pepper, soft enough on potato rosti and grilled vegetables. To finish, excellent warm chocolate cake.
