14/02/2025: Fish-only restaurant, not very large and with small parking. Quality furnishings with very appropriate color and material combinations. Small outdoor pergola for summer use. Good wine list and friendly staff. 4-course menu all with genuine foods, without falling too much into culinary extravagance. Desserts ranging from good to exceptional. The tuna I ate was exceptional, it's difficult to remember a better one, while the choice of tazichi sauce may not be to your liking. Very intimate, warm, cozy place suitable mainly for couples looking for intimacy or small groups. Price in relation to the above roof, excellent, 5 stars.

08/02/2025: Acabamos de entrar y fue servido por un hombre amable tuvimos 2 pizzas y un plato de pasta, todos los cuales eran muy sabrosos, especialmente el plato de pasta volvería a visitar y sin duda recomendaría la cera también a un precio muy razonable.

Nestled on the Grand Canal, between Ca' D' Oro and Venice's iconic Rialto Bridge, the 5-star Ca' Sagredo Hotel exudes old-world charm. Housed in a stunning 14th-century palace, once the residence of one of Venice's most cultured noble families, the hotel is a proud member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection. Its 67 elegantly decorated rooms and suites reflect the building's rich history and Venetian allure. During my stay, I was assigned a Sagredo Double room, which is the entry-level category. The carpeted Sagredo Double rooms include a comfortable double bed, a small flat-screen TV, a desk, two reading chairs, and a spacious built-in closet. However, the room felt quite dark due to its single narrow window. Although the room was immaculately clean, some furnishings showed signs of age. Housekeeping is conducted twice daily, though the turndown service lacked the thoughtful touches of water and chocolates. No welcome amenities were provided upon arrival. The en-suite marble bathroom featured a single washbasin, a bathtub/shower combination with a rain showerhead, an integrated toilet with a bidet, a towel warmer, and bespoke toiletries crafted in Italy specifically for the hotel. Despite requesting a room with a view during booking and the hotel being nearly empty during my stay, my first-floor room faced the side street and hotel entrance. Undoubtedly, better views are available in other rooms. The Ca' Sagredo Hotel's marble staircase, designed by Tirali and adorned with a fresco by Pietro Longhi, stands as a breathtaking example of Venetian craftsmanship and elegance, enhancing the hotel's historical charm and romantic ambiance. The second floor boasts magnificent wall paintings, including frescoes by Pietro Longhi and landscapes with ruins and hunting scenes by Andrea Urbani, complemented by stucco work and Murano glass chandeliers. A simple breakfast buffet is served in the second-floor breakfast rooms, with additional hot dishes beyond scrambled eggs and bacon available from the à la carte menu, though these are not included in the price. The service is reserved and friendly. The Music Hall, also known as the Sala della Musica, offers perfect acoustics, 18th-century trompe l'oeil paintings by Gaspare Diziani, gilt bronze chandeliers, and frescoes depicting elegant rituals, making it a popular venue for events or weddings. Although the Grande Canale Restaurant was closed during my stay, it is renowned for offering a fine dining experience with a focus on authentic Venetian cuisine. Meanwhile, Bar L'incontro provides a cozy setting for savoring Italian aperitifs, wines, and cocktails. In summary, the Ca' Sagredo Hotel, with its historic palace grandeur, artistic treasures, and spacious rooms, lacks attention to detail and warm service. Nonetheless, if reasonably priced, it remains a solid option among pricier five-star properties, thanks to its excellent Grand Canal location.

14/01/2025: Notre plus belle adresse culinaire à Venise ! Un très jolie cadre, une bonne ambiance et des serveurs tous très attentionnés. Dans les assiettes, une explosion de saveurs. Nous avons été très bien conseillés pour le vin, ainsi que pour le choix des plats, et le dessert nous à même été offert ! Tout ceci à un prix mais qui en vaut vraiment le coup !

07/12/2024: Nice environment, friendly staff, efficient service. Too bad the food is below expectations. A traditional Roman menu that has nothing to do with Roman cuisine. The spaghetti cacio e pepe was overcooked. A shapeless mass. The rigatoni all'amatriciana was overcooked... perhaps the bacon was there, the pecorino was just sprinkled... lots of tomato... little substance... a disappointment...

22/01/2025: Gourmet restaurant in a typical and very pleasant setting. However, being used to this type of establishment, you pay a lot more for the setting than the food. Very well presented cuisine and very pleasant service but it is not worth the price in my opinion. Having done a lot of gastronomic in France but also in Italy it is not worth the price. For the rest very nice

30/01/2025: We have just arrived in Venice Mestre and are staying close by. We looked in the area online for restaurants, and this place stood out. We were not disappointed. The place is extremely clean, there is an amazing open fireplace in the centre warming the large room. The husband and I had 2 courses - to start bruschetta tomato and garlic, mozzarella balls followed by spicy meat pizza and fried calamari, shrimp was supposed to bepollenta swopped this for a small salad and chips. What can I say? The food was full of flavour, portions were massive, so there was no room for dessert. As we ate the place filled with locals, too.

16/02/2025: Courteous staff without too many frills, very good food with convincing flavours, plentiful dishes. You certainly don't go away hungry. However, the prices are a little above average: 1 mixed starter, 1 spaghetti alla busara (prawns and tomato), 1 savory vegetable pie, 2 desserts, 1 water and 0.5 L of house white wine, we spent €83. However very satisfied!

The choice of menu is wide and above all well presented by the dining room staff. The place is very nice and welcoming. Absolutely worth trying and there is definitely no chance of being disappointed. Well done

19/01/2025: I had the pleasure of having lunch at Gallo and I must say it was a fantastic experience! The fish was very fresh and deliciously prepared. The pancakes were simply gorgeous, crispy and full of flavour. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made our day even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food and a cozy atmosphere! --- I hope you like it!

06/02/2025: We went to this restaurant last summer, given the positive reviews. We ordered a plate of pasta with clams, the quantity of clams was ok, but it tasted mostly of garlic and a grilled sea bass, nothing special. Oily baked potatoes, some cooked some raw. Friendly waiters, but given the prices and the quality of the food we will not return.

18/12/2024: We stayed at the campsite opposite and always got our pizza to go from Al Campiello. Called quickly, ordered, and by the time you walked over from the square the pizza was ready. Very tasty food at absolutely fair prices :)

06/11/2024: During our stay in Caorle, we went to the restaurant twice for a family dinner and once ordered a takeaway pizza. The food was delicious, fresh ingredients, everything prepared very efficiently. I ate the best tuna steak of my life. And the pizza eaten on the nearby beach was brilliant! I recommend! The fact that the restaurant is a family business adds to the atmosphere 🩷
