I discovered this restaurant almost by accident, away from the tourist crowds. The location exudes a sense of intimacy and authenticity, the food was truly excellent, and the service was prompt and friendly. Highly recommended!

Fantastic lovely restaurant with delicious, tasty food at very reasonable prices. The menu offers different and exciting food, which differs from the usual offerings in Venice. Friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely surroundings.

Super happy! What can I say? A trattoria with an old-world feel, but with a touch of innovation, right in the heart of my childhood. Five-star food (the fried food!!!), super friendly and welcoming, and extremely kind! Absolutely recommended! Actually, highly recommended!

A lovely, simple osteria, quite far from the main tourist crowds, which is a good thing. Reservations are definitely recommended. They have a great antipasti platter, enough for four. We had spaghetti alla busera, tagliatelle with wild boar, and a mixed frittura. Everything was excellent. We'll definitely be back.
Update: We went to Osteria da Pampo again – still excellent as always. Despite the crowds (Venezia FC match), the staff were great and very friendly. The food is top-notch.

I had to basically negotiate my way into this restaurant… and now I understand why.
Out near the Lido side of Venice, tucked away from the heavy tourist crowds, this place feels like you’ve stepped into a completely different version of the city. The streets open up, there’s a local market nearby, and the whole area has this calm, almost “private island” energy to it. No canals right next to your table, no chaos—just space, locals, and a real neighborhood feel.
And getting in? Not easy.
They actually shut down for a period during the day, and unless you’ve got a reservation—or you know how to finesse one—you’re probably not getting seated. But once I got in and sat down, it all made sense.
The ambiance is exactly what you want from a true Venetian osteria. Relaxed, authentic, and completely unforced. Nothing about it feels staged for tourists. It feels like a place people who live here actually go to.
Then the food hits—and that’s where everything locks in.
The seafood pasta with mussels was fresh, clean, and perfectly balanced. Nothing heavy, nothing overcomplicated—just quality ingredients done right. The shrimp spaghetti came with a rich tomato base that had depth without being overly acidic, coating every bite exactly how it should. The fried bites? Crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside—executed at a high level. Even something as simple as the bread and olive oil told you everything about the kitchen—simple, but high quality.
The service was impeccable. Attentive without hovering, smooth timing, and genuinely welcoming. They treat you like you belong there—even if you had to work a little to get in.
At the end of the day, this isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. If you’re looking for something fast, loud, and tourist-driven, this isn’t it. But if you want authentic Venetian food, incredible atmosphere, and a setting that actually elevates the entire experience, this is absolutely worth it.
