Mos def superior customer service. Side bar dedicated to American Sports. Jada is THE coolest. Quite knowledgeable. Fluent, flawless English. Willing to hip you to inside info regarding all aspects of Florence, Italy, local places of interest & culture. She’s a great hang. This joint is a required experience in Florence. 350 ‘college’ shots. Bar has unique personality. Classic rock provides atmosphere. All demographics roll through. Get there soon before Jada bounces. She’s destined for success in life. 15 minute or less walk from most of Florence. Go Ducks 🦆

24/09/2025: Lovely interiors and atmosphere. Great hide-away in the middle of the crowd, and beautiful seating both indoors and outdoors. The service was lovely, headed by Mattia who showed us their bar (in the picture) and really made the experience more personalised - we will for sure be back.
In terms of the food, the ingredients were really fresh where you could really taste the quality. Their generousity is also very commendable.
23/09/2025: We had a wonderful evening at Restaurant Irene in Florence. The location on Piazza della Repubblica could not be more perfect, right in the heart of the city. The atmosphere was elegant yet welcoming, with a warm and stylish setting that made our dinner truly special.
The service was excellent – attentive, professional, and very friendly, making us feel well cared for throughout the evening. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavor, from the fresh and vibrant starter to the perfectly prepared pasta and risotto. Everything was of outstanding quality.
Overall, Irene is the ideal place to enjoy a refined dinner in Florence with great cuisine, impeccable service, and a unique atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The interior is elegant and classy.
Impeccable service.
Friendly staff.
The raw materials are of the highest quality.
Generous portions.
Homemade cured meats and fresh pasta complement the delicious dishes.
Truly excellent!
The quality/price ratio is in line with the food and drink, and is consistent with the level of these high-end establishments (that's how I define them).
We're also just minutes from Mugello. So, why not indulge your taste buds after a wonderful experience at the racetrack? 😎

15/04/2025: Presso il ristorante Brandolino, l'accoglienza, la location e il menù sono di livello alto L'attenzione verso il cliente si avverte, il Sig. Mario che ha curato il nostro servizio è stato gentilissimo: cappellotti squisiti, di giusta quantità, secondi eccezionali.
Conclusione, ci torneremo , i proprietari seguono tutti i tavoli con attenzione e cura. Altamente consigliato

27/10/2025: I stopped in this place, drawn by the entrance. The interior is intimate and very unique, with many clocks and a reminder of its past. The lady is very kind and friendly. The food is excellent. I recommend it.

06/05/2025: Reading the reviews, it seemed like a retro place, but with a simple but valid offering.
We happened upon a night when pizza wasn't available (perhaps you should specify this when you book, since it's primarily a pizzeria) due to their own problems. We decided to stay anyway, given how late it was, and we regretted it: terrible appetizers, poorly prepared and rushed first courses.
It's a shame because it really gave the impression of a tired, worn-out place. From the staff to the place, I couldn't find a single positive thing... not even the POS was working that night.
I'm sorry, but I would never recommend it.

05/11/2025: Last terrible experience. It used to be a good place, but there were two of us for a pizza midweek, and the place was empty. We sat down at 8:00 PM and ordered, but we couldn't see anything. The pizza arrived at 9:20 PM. If the place had been full and it was a Saturday, I would have understood...
It's a shame because the pizza was really good.

27/05/2025: Pranzo in famiglia era il compleanno di mio padre abbiamo ordinato e non sono arrivati tutti i piatti, piatti senza sapore sopratutto spaghetti allo scoglio, c’era un uomo in sala molto scorbutico non è possibile che nel 2025 non abbiano un menù cartaceo sopratutto per le persone anziane , appena gliel’ho chiesto mi ha risposto pure male..!! Spero migliorino che così fanno poca strada

16/11/2025: Avoid this place at all costs, even for a coffee! Even after informing the waitress that we were only there for coffee, we were surprised to discover that the price had increased, supposedly because we had to pay for the cover charge. Thinking it was a mistake, we asked the owner, who verbally attacked us, telling us that it was customary in Italy (€2.50 for a cover charge for a cup and a spoon—isn't that a lot?). I absolutely do not recommend it, especially since this same owner was serving visibly drunk men on his terrace—what an atmosphere!
11/11/2025: Tragedy! If you want to eat pizza that tastes like a Japanese restaurant, this is your place. The pasta is tasteless and poorly cooked, in my opinion it went through a microwave. The grilled shrimp have not met with care even in their dreams. Without any taste. There are interesting things on the menu, but the staff says they are not offered. The only reason to visit this establishment is if you want to spoil your overall impression of the beautiful Florence.
