21/04/2026: A special thanks to Gaetano, who with his infinite patience, kindness, and friendliness helped us with everything, from check-in (at 5:00 AM) to parking the car, to assistance on the day of departure. All the staff were kind and helpful. We had lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant (fantastic pizza, even lasagna—what can I say, if it weren't for the distance, I'd have lunch and dinner there every day) and the prices were very reasonable considering the excellent quality of the food. The rooms were simple, clean, and comfortable. Thank you so much.

15/03/2026: Sunday family lunch This place was recommended to me, and I have to say I'm extremely satisfied. The atmosphere is very nice and quiet, and the service is perfect; attentive to the customer's needs (they brought us the pizza already divided for the two diners who wanted to split it), fast, and with a friendly, unobtrusive approach. The pizzas are top-notch, and the oxtail stew is also remarkable. Congratulations, and we'll definitely be back.

17/06/2026: We went for dinner, with fairly high expectations given the location. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed: the food was completely tasteless, the dishes were very basic, and the prices were not commensurate with the quality.

14/06/2026: Was invited to lunch here by friends who are regulars. The view over Lake Maggiore from the outside seating is to die for - we enjoyed a cooling breeze under the pergola on a very warm day. Both food and wine were delicious and the service both friendly and professional.

10/06/2026: Good coffee in the area, service is a plus for the location, otherwise average, but the waitresses are very kind and professional. Not too many parking spaces in the parking lot out front. The coffee is good, as is the coffee shop in general and the pastries. There are also very nice outdoor tables in the summer.

23/04/2026: I always enjoy coming to this bar. The bartenders, with their unique style and tattoos, are super friendly, nice, and always smiling. The atmosphere is welcoming, and they make you feel right at home. Recommended! ❤️

12/05/2026: We came here for dinner. The atmosphere is pleasant with welcoming staff, but the music is a bit loud, forcing everyone to raise their voices, creating a rather noisy atmosphere. The cuisine is classic, well-executed but also forgettable, especially notable for the Russian salad with smoked tongue, which was phenomenal. The portions are very small (the catch of the day was 80g of fillet, to put it mildly). Salted butter served with homemade bread, which was anything but excellent. The final bill was around €100 per person without wine (€110 for me for four courses, €80 for my wife for three courses). The cover charge was €7, which is unjustifiable, especially given the quality of the bread. Let's just say that if we had spent €60 each for the same dinner, we would have been happy, but this is definitely overpriced. The clientele, judging by the license plates in the parking lot, is predominantly Swiss; the restaurant is probably geared to their incomes and dining expectations.

03/05/2026: The food we ate was good, but the prices were decidedly out of line, and even more so, they weren't justified by the almost nonexistent and extremely slow service. Also, the bathroom is outside the restaurant. In winter, you have to wear a coat to use the bathroom.

02/05/2026: Good food but ridiculous prices... a bottle of water €5, a cover charge €5 (and the table setting really left much to be desired, there wasn't even a tablecloth), a dessert €12... I thought maybe a small biscuit or chocolate would arrive with the €2.50 coffee, but nothing. No attention to the customer. Too bad.

21/12/2025: As a native of Puglia, finding a trattoria in the mountains serving Salento specialties was a challenge I couldn't refuse. After reading the reviews left by other diners, I decided to check them out for myself. I must say, I rediscovered the flavors of my homeland and my mother. Good food, well-cooked, and, dare I say, with love for tradition. What more can I say? Try the Salento products without hesitation and let yourself be won over by our flavors. Thank you, Mr. Filograna.

21/12/2025: A few years later, we went for dinner with some colleagues. The wait was quite long. We asked for a vegan menu, and since it wasn't prepared, they wanted to blame us, saying we hadn't notified them. They somehow made up for it. I ate better and spent less. I understand the proximity to Switzerland, but they could do better and with more reasonable portions.

09/06/2026: Great food. Pizzas and calzones are awesome. Personnel is very kind. Service just a little slow, but nothing too crazy. A great place to come and have pizza and a couple of beers with your friends.

01/06/2026: I ordered a set menu. Appetizer: octopus tail with tons of oil and poorly cooked. First course: rubbery paccheri with 2 shrimp (the intestines not cleaned), tiny pieces of asparagus on a bed of meaningless arugula. I sent the dish back. To top off this awful experience, I received a gross, salty, and burnt mixed fry with still uncleaned shrimp. I asked for a toothpick to clean the "black string" of the intestines, but I didn't have the courage to eat them and gave them to the dogs. At the cashier, I took the liberty of pointing out that I had sent the paccheri back, explaining why, and suggested telling the chef that it's best to clean the shrimp before cooking them, not serve them with their guts full of feces, because it's unhygienic and changes the taste... The response (from the waiter/owner, who shouted): "WE'VE ALWAYS DONE THIS! If you don't like it, DON'T COME AGAIN, you'll be doing us a favor!" What can I say? It'll be done, even if it was expected! I absolutely don't recommend it, especially because of the rudeness.

12/05/2026: Mother's Day, seated at 1 pm and after several complaints, the wait for one dish was a good 1 hour and 30 minutes. Not just us, but the entire dining room. The waiter justified himself by saying "upstairs they have 150 seats." Fine, if you can't manage the number of seats you have, increase the staff or reduce the number of seats. And it's not the first time this has happened. When paying (101.50), not even the decency to apologize or offer a small discount. Never again. Otherwise, the pizza is acceptable.

14/03/2026: I've been a customer of the Carillon restaurant for years: I've always had a good experience and the food has always been excellent. The customer service was once top-notch, as was the quality of the food. After a few years away, we returned in November 2025 for a family birthday dinner, but unfortunately, we found the place completely changed, and not for the better. Even though we were a large group of people intending to order dishes from the restaurant, we were seated in the pizzeria. The restaurant is divided into two rooms: a more elegant one dedicated to the kitchen and one for pizza. The room we were seated in was cold, to the point of almost having to eat in our jackets, aesthetically unkempt, and the service was decidedly poor. We had hoped to at least rediscover the quality of the cuisine we remembered, but unfortunately, even that has significantly deteriorated. What a shame. A restaurant that I once considered a reference point has now become a place I can no longer recommend.
