06/03/2026: My family and I went to this restaurant for lunch for the first time on a weekday, recommended by some local professionals who work nearby and are regulars. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be one of the most disappointing in our city. The service was characterized by excessive haste and a complete lack of customer service, while the prices were significantly high for the quality of the dishes offered (we only consumed half of them). We ordered a mixed seafood appetizer; two were served, which we accepted without question. However, both had a serious flaw: the seasoning was mixed with sand, and several of the seafood items were visibly and palpably contaminated, making it impossible to consume without running a serious health risk. The staff, promptly informed us, verified and confirmed the issue. Despite this, the dishes, which remained virtually untouched, were charged in full to the final bill, without any adequate solution being offered. Even the first course I ordered, a simple pasta with clams, proved disappointing: overcooked, flavorless, and incapable of showcasing the raw ingredients. In short, a profoundly negative experience in terms of quality, professionalism, and customer service. Not only does this incident not intend to repeat itself, but it also leads us to carefully reconsider our choice of a restaurant where seafood should be handled with the utmost care, also to avoid unpleasant health consequences. Such an inconvenience can certainly occur; however, it should be addressed and promptly resolved with competence and responsibility by those responsible for managing and controlling raw ingredients.

05/03/2026: Excellent restaurant in Milan. Quiet and intimate atmosphere. Kind and friendly owner, professional waiter. High-quality, beautifully presented dishes. The seafood risotto is sublime, as are the excellent grilled fish and tuna tartare. Also recommended are the warm crostini with butter and marinated anchovies. Reservations are recommended.

26/02/2026: Everything was perfect, I fell in love with this place and this dinner. Our table, which you see in the photo, was simply magical, and we were pampered all evening, which is not to be expected (Sem was extremely professional and super friendly!). The dishes were carefully prepared and delicious, from the entrée to the dessert. I recommend them for a special dinner 🌟

28/10/2025: This restaurant is located in a 4-star hotel. We stumbled upon it by chance and really enjoyed the dining room with its 16th-century frescoes. Among the dishes we tried, the risotto was very good, as was the Friesian fillet. It's a shame the egg wasn't up to par with the other dishes. Excellent wine list and good service. The bill is a bit high, but it's justified by the prestigious location.

25/02/2026: A very beautiful, quiet, and well-kept place. The ingredients are carefully chosen, as is the wine selection. The menu is well-crafted, as are all the dishes. More is less, even though it's the hardest thing to do if you don't know what you're doing.

12/07/2025: Su consiglio di un amico cliente abituale siamo stati a mangiare in questo meraviglioso locale che con la mente ti fa quasi credere di essere al mare. Le porzioni sono abbondantissime da mangiarci in 2. La qualità ottima ed il personale gentile.

07/03/2026: The Wild "Upgrade" or the Art of Treating the Customer Like a Vending Machine Rating: ⭐ If you're looking for a restaurant where the bill is higher than the pizza dough, you've come to the right place. The concept is fascinating: you order two pizzas at €7 each and a very sensible bottle of wine at €24. But when it comes time to pay, a miracle of creative arithmetic occurs: the bottle has transformed into a vintage priced at €95. A simple line item error on the menu? Probably. What's truly admirable is the staff's composure: not a single eyebrow twitch, not an apology, nothing. You can tell they've rehearsed this routine. Going from a €40 bill to over €110 with such aplomb is a true art form. They take us for tourists passing through or simply for fools, take your pick. A word of advice: check your receipt with the same rigor as an insurance contract, because here, the €70 "mistake" seems to be the house specialty.

07/03/2026: A very disappointing experience. The wait was extremely long and unexplained. The waiter was rude and unprofessional. They also made several service errors and, instead of taking responsibility, tried to make the customers pay for them. They pretended not to understand our requests and brought us dishes we hadn't ordered, which they then tried to add to the bill. This was very unfair and unfair behavior. It seems like a classic tourist trap restaurant. I don't recommend it.

27/02/2026: Excellent dinner. Refined yet simple dishes, and above all, just the right amount of sophisticated. You can still appreciate the Italian flavors, especially with delicious bread and fragrant olive oil as an aperitif. The menu is just the right amount, the dishes are beautifully presented, the portions are just right, and above all, they're full of flavor. It's the only place where the cutlet is fried in butter like it used to be. The pear dessert is sublime. Attentive and courteous service.

25/12/2025: Old-fashioned place, nice and friendly staff, but they made fun of us when we asked about the fish and chips, describing them as excellent, and instead they brought us two baked Findus treats with a handful of chips! Fish and chips is something else, and you don't lie to customers like that...

26/02/2026: Watered-down Spritz, locked in a small, dingy room, and denied access to the usual aperitif platter simply because they're having a "private event." They're not in the industry, but it doesn't take a genius to produce their platter of pizzas, focaccias, and chips. Customer service lacking.

28/02/2026: Service isn't exactly lightning-fast, but it's courteous. Prices are high, and the quality is average. The pizza isn't bad, but the dinners are even better...

27/02/2026: Great experience, I went yesterday with two other colleagues. Excellent pizza, and very good gluten-free pizza too. Our waiter, Angelo, was excellent. The price was fair. What can I say! We'll be back.

17/03/2026: On our final evening in Milan, coinciding with my daughter’s birthday, we inadvertently found ourselves at Maio Restaurant. While seeking an alternative dining establishment, we were drawn to the restaurant’s picturesque view. Unfortunately, the terrace was situated in from of the construction of the Duomo. Despite this, the atmosphere remained enchanting, with live violinists performing and a welcoming hostess. We inquired about their ability to accommodate us, and they readily agreed, assuring us that it would only take a few minutes. As we waited, they offered us champagne, which was a gracious gesture. We sat down, and the music was lovely. The food was wonderful. I wanted to try the Veal Milanese before we left, so I ordered it, and I am so glad I did. It was cooked to perfection. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. It turned out to be a beautiful last night in Milan. We still talk about the Veal Milanese.
