25/07/2024: always nice to see the lake from here

19/07/2024: Che delusione! Improponibile soprattutto perchè svalorizza una location che è sicuramente invidiabile e che offre la possibilità anche della terrazza all'aperto fronte vista lago. Che delusione!. Un nuova gestione del ristorante che è bel lontana dall'aver superato il rodaggio. Cucina povera di proposte, anche se i piatti che vengono preparati (menù del giorno stringatissimo) sono senza lode e senza infamia. Ma il servizio è lentissimo e improvvisato affidato a giovani senza esperienza. Per un "club" che dovrebbe essere un punto di riferimento di eccellenza, una volta frequentato da clientela qualificata, questo ristorante lascia molto lontani ricordi di ben migliori occasioni di pranzo e cena. Peccato. Vorrei essere incoraggiante con questa nuova gestione, ma i tempi stringono per migliorare. Per il momento si può solo pensare di non tornarci.

20/09/2024: Really nice, cozy place. Family owned. Food came out hot and delicious. Steak cooked perfect, ravioli had excellent texture. But save room for dessert, tiramisu or cheese cake, both outstanding. NOTE: Make a reservation TY Monamour

19/09/2024: The waiters are kind and nice. It’s normally priced. The dishes are NOT great. Cacio Peppe was flowing with cheese and the pasta was NOT great.

23/10/2024: I didn’t even stay there because I was in another city. But they helped me and my wife find a taxi when we had problems with the boat. Overall, very kind staff in an excellent location.

14/10/2024: Stayed here to start our honeymoon (Sept 2019) and it was amazing. Such a memorable stay. Does anyone know if they sell the scent that permeates the hotel?

11/11/2024: One of the only rooftop restaurants we could find in Varenna. While the atmosphere was beautiful overlooking Lake Como, the food came short. We weren’t impressed with the pastas, and we had ordered a bottle of hard cider that had gone bad. We did however enjoy the peaches and cream dessert. The servers were trying to rush us out as we were dining late, seemed to be a trend as most of Varenna closes down early.

02/11/2024: We were here for a baptism and we had a wonderful time, the service was perfect, the food was excellent and the view of the terrace was unique, a special mention for the delicious salmon

17/11/2024: A hotel with a nice atmosphere and a beautiful view in Varenna. We organized a wedding and left happy.

11/11/2024: Villa Monastero was closed so we paid to visit the garden instead. It is a good photo spot and rest stop!

22/11/2024: Comfortable and very good breakfast.

10/11/2024: Hotel with everything you need in Varenna, location, service, accommodation, breakfast. Reception staff very attentive and professional. We will be back.

24/11/2024: Highly recommended place. Excellent tonnarelli carbonara and pizza of the day, fast service and lake view. Fair prices for the location, especially when compared to nearby places. If we are passing through we will return.

02/11/2024: Lots of people. Impossible to sit down, plastic glass and out on the street after having paid €7 for each beer and without being able to enter the only bathroom because of the endless queue.

29/09/2024: Unfortunately we couldn't eat one of the dishes because it smelled so bad - they took it back virtually untouched but still tried to charge us for it. The other claimed to be spaghetti but was instant noodles but I like noodles so ate it anyway. Euro 17 for instant noodles is a bit steep.
