11/10/2025: We had dinner with our children at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and the service was just as good. The waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive, even to the youngest guests. We truly enjoyed our evening and are very grateful for it!
21/09/2025: We stumbled upon Lido di Sala after wondering around Sala Comacina where we were staying. It's incredibly charming, with covered tables overlooking a scenic cove of water. Luca, our server, was wonderful and personable, and the food was delicious. Nothing fancy, just a well-prepared and very tasty meal. The ossobucco was fabulous, and the vanilla banana liqueur dessert was amazing. Thank you to Luca and staff for a wonderful Sunday dinner!

30/03/2026: We were disappointed. We'd been passing by for a while and were keen to try it because the place looked so nice. The service was very good, but the quality of the food left much to be desired. Even though it wasn't cheap, it could have been better... 😕 It's a shame, they seem like nice people.

09/10/2025: Be aware they take advantage of tourist here! Atmosphere is amazing, food was good, drink was fair, bill was ridiculously expensive but the real kicker was when time to go we asked them to get us a taxi and that’s when things got bad. Should be easy right, not with this place. A Maserati shows up not a taxi, thirty minutes late and they forced us to pay 160 Euros. A Uber was four minutes away and would have cost half that. We got hosed by a really fancy hotel concierge and his counterpart at the hostess stand!

21/03/2026: 3.5ish stars for this restaurant is not fair, the experience, food, and wine was top notch and came out quick. All around great experience and food.
17/03/2026: We paid 23 euros for an aperitivo for two. The price wasn't a problem, but when we asked for something vegan—chips, olives, or just bread—the answer was no! We didn't have anything vegan! Too bad there was a nice basket full of bread on the next table. So they let us drink without bringing anything! A classic tourist-ripping place! Don't sit down!

I showed up at this hotel for check-in a little before 2am on a Sunday in July 2024. There I was met with a closed gate with no way to get in for check-in.
I have my own car and it is almost impossible to park in the narrow street by the hotel, but I was able to temporarily park in the driveway of a neighbor of the hotel. The hotel is located within a fenced area with a large metal gate and it cannot be opened from the outside and it is therefore not possible to enter either by car or on foot. There is no poster or other information at the gate on how to contact the hotel. The hotel looks completely uninhabited and the neighbor with whom I parked said that there were nonsensical and problematic conditions there.
I then called the hotel manager on the number listed on Booking.com and was told that check-in had to be done in the city center at another hotel and that that was the only option I had. To get to this hotel you have to drive through impassable narrow streets with masses of tourists and I told the host that this was out of the question and that he had to show up at the hotel so that I could check in normally. Important: There is no place in the hotel information that it says that check-in should be several kilometers away from the hotel. He refused to come to the hotel to check in there and I therefore had to just leave and find another hotel. This matter is in my opinion completely incomprehensible. I have been on vacation in Europe now for almost four weeks but have never come close to this behavior from a hotel host.

06/06/2025: Sono stata qui a cena per un compleanno. Il locale è molto bello e curato, immerso nel verde e circondato da piscine.
Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, prodotti freschi e piatti curati e saporiti. Buon servizio.
Unica pecca: porzioni un po’ risicate e prezzi un po’ altini (per essere fuori Milano).
19/05/2025: Il posto è bello e suggestivo, anche se, il navigatore, ti porta all’ingresso del centro sportivo…e dalla strada non è tanto semplice e intuito raggiungerlo, per chi non lo conosce.
Giornata di menù fisso per comunioni e compleanni. Decidiamo di non optare per il menù fisso perché è disponibile un menu alla carta…!
Per quanto sia bello e suggestivo, il servizio lascia molto a desiderare. Da quando ci siamo seduti a quando ci hanno preso l’ordine sono passati più di 30 minuti, nonostante avessimo deciso da un po’ e segnalato ai camerieri che fossimo pronti. I camerieri, tanti e confusionari. Chi ti dava del tu, chi del lei, chi del voi. Finalmente arriva il ragazzo a prendere l’ordine …scazzato e svogliato, non ci dà alcun tipo di consiglio. Si capiva che fosse infastidito del fatto che non avessimo optato per il menù fisso ma, non è colpa nostra sé viene data la possibilità di scegliere alla carta. Ci chiede che vino volessimo ma, la carta dei vini non c’era stata consegnata con il menù. Finalmente ordiniamo. Da quando ha preso l’ordine all’arrivo dell’ antipasto passano 40 minuti circa. Un altra mezz’ora abbondante perché arrivino i primi che vengono portati separatamente. Prima le sei pasta e vongole, poi chiediamo degli altri due, pacchero e carbonara, che arrivano separatamente anche quelli, prima il pacchero e poi la carbonara. È bello mangiare tutti insieme non separatamente …! Altri venti minuti per tre fritture. Offri la possibilità, oltre al menù fisso, un menu alla carta? La cucina deve essere organizzata con una linea per il menù fisso e una linea per i menu alla carta. Se poi l’organizzazione manca non è colpa del cliente, a cui viene data la possibilità di scegliere un menù alla carta. Dalle 13:30 che ci siamo seduti, ci siamo alzati alle 17:30 circa…non è poca l’attesa. Non so a quanto sia ammontato il conto, perché eravamo ospiti, in ogni caso, non sono rimasto molto soddisfatto. Do un buono come valutazione perché la location è molto bella. Il servizio merita un due, capisco la giornata ma, troppo lenti e confusionari. Il cibo è buono. Mi spiace dirlo perché il potenziale c’è ma, non ci ritornerei.

Le plus le patron et l’équipe amicale, parfaitement théâtrale et emprunt de savoir faire. Une expérience d’une rare qualité. Musique et lumiere qui assurent l’ambiance. Merci à tous.

19/07/2025: L'accueil est gentil mais ni le lieu ni les plats ne méritent vraiment le déplacement. Des pizzas et quelques plats sans grande saveur sur une terrasse sans vue sur le lac.
Grande déception compte tenu des avis.

Großzügig im Nachschenken und freundlichst im Service. Dazu gutes heimisches Essen.
Für Gäste wie uns, die jährlich kommen, wäre vielleicht ein Alternativ Abend (was das Menü angeht) sehr schön.
