10/11/2025: ⭐ Pasta Paradise in Diano Marina! Spaghetteria Macaroni is a must-try. Excellent pasta, a huge selection of sauces and pasta types. Excellent value for money, with generous portions and great quality. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The perfect place for pasta lovers!

30/11/2025: Quintessenza Restaurant is one of those places where you sit down and immediately understand that the food is at the center of everything. The setting is refined but not overbearing, with a relaxed atmosphere that lets you enjoy dinner from start to finish. The dishes are truly excellent: elegant presentations, fresh ingredients, and well-thought-out pairings. Each course delivers clean, balanced flavors, and you can taste the work behind them. The dishes are carefully prepared, and the quality is consistent from the first to the last. It's one of those restaurants where it's hard to choose what you liked best because everything is just right. And even though it's always crowded, you can still chat comfortably and enjoy the evening. The kindness of the staff is another strong point: welcoming, smiling, and present without being intrusive. They explain the dishes calmly and follow the pace of the dinner well. Overall, it's a restaurant worth a visit in Sanremo: excellent cuisine, impeccable service, and an atmosphere that makes the evening special.

30/11/2025: We loved it! We stumbled upon this restaurant completely by chance, and what a great find! The menu had some lovely options, the dishes were delicious, and the price was excellent. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

16/01/2026: Excellent restaurant in the center of Genoa. Warm welcome and friendly staff. Excellent options, such as the cheese platter, tagliata, and seared tuna. Delicious desserts.

16/01/2026: The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was very familiar and comfortable. We ordered the cheese and compote platter to share, plus a Danish entrecote and a seared tuna fillet. Everything was excellent. We finished with a dark chocolate cake and a fruit tart with coffee. They were also good.

30/12/2025: Tiny place with a strong smell of fried food. You have to wait in line, and I understand why. It's because there are so few tables, the tap water is uncapped, and you pay extra for non-tap water, and even coffee isn't included in the menu. The owner wasn't very friendly. The food was terrible, and the place wasn't well-ventilated. A bad experience. The owner was very haughty and rude. Fly down.

06/01/2026: Very dissatisfied with the unfair treatment. Before Christmas, we booked dinner for sixteen people, agreeing, since we would be arriving late, to a set menu of their choice of appetizers, a main course, and a house dessert, for €25 per person. I don't want to comment on the welcome, because "friendliness" could be subjective (although "snorting" at everything seemed objectively rude to those present). Since we were celebrating a birthday and had brought a cake, we asked (in advance) if we could have a bottle for a toast instead of the house dessert. We were told no, that they only had champagne for €70. However, when they didn't even bring us the house dessert, we were told that the kitchen was closed, and we had our own cake anyway. And of course, the price was not discounted. Very unfair behavior, in our opinion.

19/08/2025: A small restaurant along the Aurelia road, near the Sestri train station. Tasty food, especially seafood, and excellent minestrone soup. Moderate prices.

30/12/2025: We booked lunch on December 30th with another couple of friends and...5 cocker spaniels...(we had advance notice). The welcome was perfect! A warm smile and a nice corner table allowed us to relax with our faithful friends without disturbing the other diners. First courses that smelled of the sea... (excellent seafood spaghetti and spaghetti alla chitarra with delicate shrimp and leeks) and second courses (fried anchovies and a wide variety of fried fish, golden brown and dry). Two desserts, limoncello or sciacchetrá, wine, water, coffee: €50 each, well spent, not only for the good food, but also for the kindness and welcome given to our pets. Highly recommended. 04/12/2025: Nice hotel — but a baffling and frustrating experience at the front desk. At check-in, we were greeted not with a welcome, but with a banner about a “gratitude payment” — essentially a voluntary tip scheme. Since we were only staying one night and had no meaningful interaction with staff, I called to opt out. I was told they would “check my bill” to make sure it was removed. Next morning? Still there. I was already on a business call while my family tried to check out, and instead of handling it smoothly, the staff insisted payment had to be made with a physical card. Out of patience, I tapped my phone — and it worked instantly. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. For a hotel claiming five stars, this felt more like amateur hour. Good service isn’t about surprise “gratitude fees” — it’s about communication, competence, and knowing when to get out of the way so guests can enjoy their stay — and actually get on with their planned journey without unnecessary friction. Edit: funny answer - did they even READ my post? I did call them the day before and it was still on the invoice.

01/12/2025: Beautifully decorated and clean hotel. Great breakfast and location. Unfortunately, the management falls short on customer service. We were “upgraded” to this hotel immediately after booking the neighbouring hotel, which we selected specifically for its spa. Nowhere was it communicated that the spa was unavailable at either hotels - from the time of booking right up until check in. At check in, the staff did not offer any compensatory or complimentary services to make up for this lack of critical communication.

30/11/2025: My wife and I are now regulars. I won't go into detail about the atmosphere, staff, dishes, and wine list. The best restaurant in Genoa, by far.

22/11/2025: The food was tasty but one hour after eating fish there, my brother got the symptoms of histamine poisoning! No other food was consumed for hours before that and he has no food allergies.

13/01/2026: A small, charming and well-kept restaurant with attentive and friendly service. The dishes are limited, but with excellent ingredients and well-prepared. The prices are fair.

08/10/2025: We stayed for two weeks full board. The food was excellent, with a choice of meat and fish, and numerous tempting desserts. The room was cozy and equipped with air conditioning, a TV, a safe, electric shutters, and a small terrace. Highly recommended, although the outdoor area is a bit noisy due to the traffic on Via Aurelia.
