19/02/2026: A beautiful and delicious inn just steps from the city center. We had the chance to try their pesto with homemade pasta and a wonderful selection of cheeses. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Genoa!

26/10/2025: This review is for Zeus Sky Bar only as we didn’t eat at the restaurant. We arrived without a reservation about an hour before sunset (in June), and were seated straightaway. I’m not exaggerating when I say the view is absolutely breathtaking, even all the stunning photos shared here cannot do it justice- it has to be seen to be believed. We did the 20€pp aperitivo option, which included a signature cocktail and a selection of antipasti. The cocktails were beautiful and delicious. We stayed long after sunset and loved it so much that before leaving, we booked a table for our last night in Sestri Levante, a couple of days later! We fell in love with Sestri Levante on this holiday, and this rooftop bar really shows it off in all its glory.
17/10/2025: A pleasant and relaxing experience, with professional, polite, and always helpful waitstaff. I was particularly impressed by Mirko, a young, polite, and very helpful man. I will definitely return next year with my wife and son to sample the restaurant's specialties and enjoy the refined, warm atmosphere.

15/03/2026: We went there yesterday for lunch. There were 8 of us with two children aged 6-3. We had a very pleasant and welcoming experience (we didn't need to book). They also have the classic fries and cutlet for the kids. Fair portions and prices.
14/03/2026: We dined twice at this restaurant and liked the atmosphere, quick serving, and good food. The portions are large so be careful so share a foccacia if you still wish to eat a secundo piatti. The mixed grill was a bit too heavy for our taste.

Before Christmas, we booked dinner for sixteen people, agreeing, since we would be arriving late, to a set menu of their choice of appetizers, a main course, and a house dessert, for €25 per person.
I don't want to comment on the welcome, because "friendliness" could be subjective (although "snorting" at everything seemed objectively rude to those present).
Since we were celebrating a birthday and had brought a cake, we asked (in advance) if we could have a bottle for a toast instead of the house dessert. We were told no, that they only had champagne for €70. However, when they didn't even bring us the house dessert, we were told that the kitchen was closed, and we had our own cake anyway. And of course, the price was not discounted.
Very unfair behavior, in our opinion.

26/02/2026: I stumbled upon it by chance and had a divine lunch. Fried anchovies, amazing seafood appetizers, spaghetti with mussels, and a mind-blowing mixed fry. All washed down with a highly regarded house wine.
25/02/2026: Ristorante Frantoio has the best sea food in town! It is pricey, but totally worth it!

12/03/2026: The food was very good (though not super generous portions). But what shocked us most was the €14 glass of red wine. The staff were dishonest in not telling us the price and that we paid for the bottle because they didn't sell it by the glass.
In short, the food was good, but this restaurant's honesty needs improvement.

04/12/2025: Nice hotel — but a baffling and frustrating experience at the front desk.
At check-in, we were greeted not with a welcome, but with a banner about a “gratitude payment” — essentially a voluntary tip scheme. Since we were only staying one night and had no meaningful interaction with staff, I called to opt out. I was told they would “check my bill” to make sure it was removed.
Next morning? Still there. I was already on a business call while my family tried to check out, and instead of handling it smoothly, the staff insisted payment had to be made with a physical card. Out of patience, I tapped my phone — and it worked instantly. No apology, no acknowledgment, nothing.
For a hotel claiming five stars, this felt more like amateur hour. Good service isn’t about surprise “gratitude fees” — it’s about communication, competence, and knowing when to get out of the way so guests can enjoy their stay — and actually get on with their planned journey without unnecessary friction.
Edit: funny answer - did they even READ my post? I did call them the day before and it was still on the invoice.
01/12/2025: Beautifully decorated and clean hotel. Great breakfast and location.
Unfortunately, the management falls short on customer service. We were “upgraded” to this hotel immediately after booking the neighbouring hotel, which we selected specifically for its spa. Nowhere was it communicated that the spa was unavailable at either hotels - from the time of booking right up until check in. At check in, the staff did not offer any compensatory or complimentary services to make up for this lack of critical communication.

08/03/2026: I went yesterday with friends. I found it to be a really nice place, with excellent, friendly, and pleasant service. The food was good, there was a good selection, and the fish was fresh. I was particularly impressed by the first courses, the gnocchi. The desserts are not to be underestimated. I'll definitely be back.

A tasting menu where every ingredient contributes to the finesse and flavor of the dishes.
