The meat was decent.
It must have been a bad night.
The waiter was very polite.

29/07/2025: Wonderful visit to Ristorante Cecilia Metella!
Family friendly, family run, and homemade family quality. We highly recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant if you’re in the area, or walk across from the Catacombs di San Sebastien. Cross the road, head to right and up the driveway.
The staff were super friendly and fun. I felt like my grandpa was serving us, with his grandpa humour. Couldn’t stop laughing at his grandpa jokes.
The food was amazing. I feel like this was my most authentic Italian pasta and cuisine during our stay at Rome.
We ate outside on the their terrace. There were lots of tables and couod get quite busy. However, our visit was just right in terms of noise from other tables. No need to shout, but still enjoyed the energy of the restaurant with families and friends enjoying lunch out on a Sunday.
23/07/2025: Amazing lunch experience under the vines. Meals and wine were superb, service was first class and atmosphere was next level fabulous. Really enjoyed. Highly recommend.

02/11/2025: I live near the Case e Campi consortium, which has three cafés and pastry shops, but this is my favorite. The coffee is good and the pastries are truly excellent; unfortunately, if you don't get there early in the morning, they only have a few croissants left. Parking is easy, and the outdoor seating is very popular during the warmer months. The girls at the counter are friendly and helpful. The prices are a little higher than average.

A surefire choice if you want to eat well, enjoy company, and have staff who always have a smile.
13/10/2025: Excellent food...obviously the pizza, but the mega calzone and the hamburger sandwich with excellent meat were amazing.
The desserts were also amazing!!! I'll be back to try it!

The vegetable soup was excellent. The Milanese cutlet was lean yet tender, a must-try. The amatriciana also had an outstanding tomato flavor.
The portion sizes are perfect for Japanese palate, so ordering wasn't a struggle.
And what's more, this restaurant, so close to Termini Station, is so delicious yet so affordable! We had house wine and a full à la carte meal for two for just over 40 euros. You won't find that anywhere else. Thank you. I'll be back.

My wife really wanted to try Santi's vegetable soup again before we returned home, so we had lunch there again the next day. The daughter recognized us and welcomed us warmly.
The lunch menu was 15 euros, and it even came with homemade desserts. This was also excellent. 150% satisfaction. (By the way, I was surprised to find that a Big Mac set costs 15 euros in Italy.)
Not only is the food incredibly delicious, but the atmosphere is also incredibly friendly. Next time I'm in Rome, I'll be going to Santi for every meal!

07/11/2025: We come here every time we're in Rome. Always delicious food and friendly service. The bruschetta and pollo alla romana are highly recommended. But everything we've had here has been good.
06/11/2025: We visited on our first day and returned every day after. The staff are excellent and could not be more helpful. The food was classic Italian and of excellent quality. The Carbonara was a favourite as was the Bruccetta
