01/10/2025: We were refused to eat here when we went inside the restaurant. The lady even scolded my friend on what she was wearing (off shoulder top), very unnecessary. Very bad experience. We just went out of the restaurant, even so, she continued to tell us that it was wrong to enter the restaurant. Hays.

23/08/2025: It's always a shame for me to leave a negative review, especially when the location is truly delightful: small but meticulously maintained and with a pleasant atmosphere. For this very reason, I believe constructive criticism can help both the owners, helping them grow and improve, and future customers, helping them have a more satisfying experience. During our dinner, however, several inconveniences arose that I must point out. As soon as we sat down, we found the placemat dirty, likely not replaced after the previous service. A detail that alone wouldn't have ruined the evening, but unfortunately it was the first in a series of oversights. We ordered a first course to share and two second courses. Unfortunately, the tagliatelle with lamb ragù was so salty that it was difficult to enjoy. The wild boar meatballs, however, arrived cold and partly burned. Finally, the sliced ​​beef: we weren't asked how it was cooked, and, without a proper knife for serving, we were faced with overcooked, very salty, and difficult to cut meat. A real shame, especially since the prices were decidedly high compared to the actual quality of what we were served. I sincerely hope these observations are helpful: the location has potential, but the cuisine and service deserve more attention to live up to expectations.

19/05/2026: I've been avoiding lunch and dinner for a while now, both because of the sky-high prices and the awkward service, with confused and disoriented waiters and endless waits. Unfortunately, the situation doesn't improve with takeout: one or two people at the register and counter at lunchtime, with the POS terminal not working and biblical waiting times for everything. In all this, the prices are also rising: a salmon bagel was €6 yesterday, €8 today. We're talking about a 10cm-diameter sandwich, filled with arugula and cream cheese with a slice of smoked salmon. The prices of the desserts are also beyond comment. It's a short step from organic to stealing! Raise the level of service instead of prices!

09/05/2026: The owner was very, very rude. We asked each of us to pay for ourselves without splitting the meal, and she almost refused. Thanks to my insistence, I managed to convince her, but I still felt like I was being treated really badly. I don't recommend it at all.

30/04/2026: Really low-quality food, the tomato bruschetta inedible, the matriciana is the best you can eat in Milan, the Roman-style artichokes are full of oil and therefore not good value for money.

29/07/2025: Wonderful visit to Ristorante Cecilia Metella! Family friendly, family run, and homemade family quality. We highly recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant if you’re in the area, or walk across from the Catacombs di San Sebastien. Cross the road, head to right and up the driveway. The staff were super friendly and fun. I felt like my grandpa was serving us, with his grandpa humour. Couldn’t stop laughing at his grandpa jokes. The food was amazing. I feel like this was my most authentic Italian pasta and cuisine during our stay at Rome. We ate outside on the their terrace. There were lots of tables and couod get quite busy. However, our visit was just right in terms of noise from other tables. No need to shout, but still enjoyed the energy of the restaurant with families and friends enjoying lunch out on a Sunday.

It feels like you're in the scene from the film. This place takes you back to being a kid, and the food is delicious. I highly recommend it. Go, you won't regret it. That said, it was a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be back. 🔝

10/05/2026: Truly exceptional brunch! We tried both sweet and savory options, and everything was fantastic. The scrambled egg, avocado, and salmon crostini was a true delight: fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and a super satisfying portion. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was friendly and professional. We'll definitely be back!

22/05/2026: There's nothing to complain about. A place that, even from the outside, presents itself impeccably. Meticulously decorated, with soothing colors and a harmonious décor. The staff is impeccable, very helpful, but especially calm, kind, and, above all, polite and knowledgeable. Last but not least, the dishes are exceptional; they're not afraid to explore both land and sea, and the ingredients are treated with absolute care. The focus is on delicate, elegant flavors that caress the palate with absolute class. The wine selection is sensational. A wide selection, capable of satisfying everyone. Absolutely one of the best places I've ever eaten.

11/04/2026: We went in and asked if it was possible to have an aperitif. They said yes, and showed us a table to sit at. There was no chair. I asked a waitress, and she replied, "I don't know what you want." That's a very questionable response. We finally sat down, but no one came, not only to take our order, but not even to clean the table. We went to ask, and they said, "Did you sit down by yourselves?" WELL. After a while, a waitress came and cleaned our table. We asked her if we could order something to drink and something to eat for an aperitif. Her repeated response was simply, "The kitchen is closed," in an annoyed tone. For them, an aperitif was peanuts and chips. It's okay that the kitchen is closed at 4:30, but if you're doing aperitifs, you can't just offer peanuts and chips to eat. Terrible management and terrible service. IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: I REPEAT, BAD MANAGEMENT AND BAD SERVICE. You're responding rudely in person, and you'll continue to do so here. I know Italian very well, and I understand the difference between aperitivo and apericena. Asking for two pizzas doesn't mean you want an apericena, especially since everywhere else, in addition to chips and peanuts, they'll also serve pizzas or sandwiches with the aperitivo. If you don't have anything to offer, that's your problem, not the customer's, and in any case, that doesn't justify your response.

06/04/2026: I was a guest at the restaurant for Easter lunch and I'd like to share my experience: the place is large and has a remarkable structure with a lot of potential that, however, remains untapped. Sitting at the table, I started sneezing because of the dust that was so obvious on the glass table and fabric sofas. The pasta arrived without salt, and even though we didn't ask for another course, it was brought to our table; they could have simply taken it off the bill. The second courses arrived staggered: the first two, the third (which they hadn't put on the order) after 10 minutes, and the other two after another 10 minutes. In short, we celebrated Easter chatting over good wine but eating in shifts. The waiter then apologized, saying it was Easter, so they were confused about that. That's a nonsensical excuse, especially for someone who knows the restaurant business. How can you be confused with a small set menu? Meanwhile, the management was having social interactions, unaware, I believe, of all these inconveniences. We rarely leave a tip, and in this case, it was inevitable. In my personal opinion, I experienced a sociologically interesting environment, which behind a glamorous facade hides mediocre products and service, with Rome itself as the protagonist of a decadent aesthetic.

08/02/2026: Terrible experience. The welcome was seriously deceiving: the restaurant was nice, the ambiance was refined, and the staff was almost friendly. We were fooled by the daily menu, thinking that, like everywhere else, it would have been the best choice. Frozen foods and spicy dishes not listed on the menu. To be completely honest, I should say that they didn't charge me for the spicy dish that wasn't listed on the menu. Needless to say, the quality/price ratio is unjustified.
