A restaurant steeped in history. The Colosseum and Oppian Hill are within easy reach. The Altar of the Fatherland and St. Peter's Basilica are also within arm's reach. Exquisitely presented dishes are paired with excellent wines, especially dessert wines or amaro, as well as a fantastic aperitif.

The place is beautiful, with spectacular views of the Colosseum… but the food was nothing extraordinary, to be honest. The quality for the price leaves much to be desired. I suppose they got the Michelin star for the views because the food and wine pairing didn't impress me. The price doesn't match what they offer on the menu; I've certainly been to better Michelin-starred places.

I ate at the Aroma restaurant in Palazzo Manfredi in Rome, a Michelin-star restaurant. The space is small, with tables very close together and a shaky floor. But the view is incredible, unique, and truly feels like a journey back in time. The dishes are beautiful and delicious. The flavors are dominant, bold, and well-balanced. Quality ingredients. The colors are vibrant and inviting. The combinations allow you to experience all the flavors, leaving a pleasant taste and a clear, distinct aftertaste. I tried many dishes, including the desserts. The staff was kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. A real compliment to the kitchen and the entire team.

Truly magical and spectacular experience. The food and the service were spectacular. Wish they had better air conditioning because it was very hot in the restaurant and me and others were sweating while eating (which made the experience not ideal). But luckily the service, food, and view made up for the AC issues.

An unforgettable Michelin-starred experience in the heart of Rome. Every dish was a true work of art, with spectacular presentation, exceptional flavours and beautifully balanced textures. The attention to detail was evident in every course, making the entire dinner feel like a carefully composed culinary journey. And then there is the view: dining while looking directly at the illuminated Colosseum is simply breathtaking. It creates an atmosphere that is almost impossible to describe—emotional, uplifting and truly magical. Aroma is far more than just a restaurant; it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will remain with us forever. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for an extraordinary and memorable evening in Rome.

Was very excited to try this Michelin star experience that being said there was a lot to be desired. Table runners were friendly and helpful but the sommelier and manager were unfriendly and not helpful when asked questions about the menu it’s like they did not want to be bothered. The fish tasting menu was just alright a lot to be desired for ~210 euro each it seemed like if you were there to not spend over 1000s of euros the staff could not be bothered.Overall the ambience and location is great but I would not recommend as service and food was not up to the price tag and there are much better options in close proximity.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Our favorite meal in Rome!! I’ll admit I was bracing myself for the food to be mediocre as almost never do you get both an incredible view and incredible food, especially at a tasting menu. I also loved the options of the tasting menu and the option to sub out different courses. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening spent here and the view is spectacular, especially at sunset. It was worth the bill, which I cannot say for other Michelin star restaurants we visited in Rome! We dine all over the world and we would recommend to our friends!
