03/03/2026: I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend Elisabetta, and we were disappointed. To begin with, the staff was very rude. A young lady named Chiara came to take my order and had a condescending tone that I didn't like at all, and she made some very tasteless jokes about me and Elisabetta (you can imagine). I ordered pigeon because I told myself it was time to try new things. They served it to me, and it tasted of earth and withered flowers; it seemed rotten. Not to mention the namelaka dessert... It had a disgusting metallic aftertaste. And all for almost €100. I do not recommend it.

13/03/2026: The best tiramisu, pasta, and service in Rome. This friendly crew genuinely cares about the food they serve. And it’s fantastic! We especially liked the gnocchi and carbonara.

10/03/2026: Might be the best pasta I have ever had in my life! We had the Tagliolini al pesto and the Ravioli ricotta e spinaci for I Primi and Spigola alla Marinara for I Secondi. The tagliolini was very tender and flavorful with all the pesto sauce on it. The sauce was fresh and not too heavy. The ravioli was heavenly good! The fish was fresh. Both take away and dine in have to wait outside in queue until the staff call you in. Will come back again the next time I am in Rome!

25/02/2026: The location was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. The food was good but what stood out the most was the staff. Each and every one of them was very kind we felt very welcomed there.

24/02/2026: The staff were very welcoming and helpful. They opened up pictures of the restaurant on Google Maps for us, pointed out that we had ordered too much, and recommended some better dishes. The Wellington steak, vegetable soup, and spaghetti bolognese were all delicious.

15/02/2026: In my opinion, the best restaurant in the neighborhood. We've dined here several times, trying the various set menus they offer. Each time, we've been completely satisfied, given the quality and quantity of the food. The appetizer selection is very unique, varied, and high-quality. Unlike other restaurants, the quality of the various courses is consistently high, so I would recommend it for both a first and second course dinner. The service is much more informal than the aesthetics of the place, but in a good way. There are two dining rooms, but overall there are few seats, so reservations are recommended. On the other hand, there are no problems with parking, given the fairly isolated location. We'll definitely be back, as it's become a local favorite.

02/03/2026: We celebrated my daughter's eighteenth birthday. The venue was stunning, overlooking the lake, making it all so romantic. The staff was welcoming and extremely professional, accommodating our every request. A special mention goes to Diego, the dedicated owner, full of ideas and always ready to help. His immediate empathy made everyone feel right at home. If you're looking for an elegant and welcoming venue, Chalet del Lago won't disappoint.

It's just that... despite it being well-deserved, I've never left a review, a review that must be five stars, and why shouldn't it? Given that the location is superbly nestled in the historic heart of Rome, maintained with love and professionalism, I fondly remember the mountains of flowers that were there during the spring and summer months. Shall we move on to the place? Beautiful, welcoming, clean, simply set, yet elegantly furnished, and why not talk about the staff? They too, without exception, were welcoming, clean, courteous, attentive, and everything beautiful you can think of. All that remains is the food. Do I even need to tell you how it tastes? I don't think so... I simply invite you to try it. I forgot, congratulations on the recently added covered outdoor area. Thank you.

The food was really good, prepared with care, and the portions were generous. The restrooms were clean and easily accessible. It was a lovely evening.

04/03/2026: This was my second time in Rome, and it was the worst restaurant I've ever been to. The food was terrible, and the service was absolutely awful. I ordered a liter of white wine, but they brought me red. The waiter even said I pressed the wrong button, acting like he had no intention of changing it. He only changed it after I told him I ordered white wine. Then, after waiting 15 minutes, the wine still hadn't arrived—obviously on purpose. I had to ask someone else for it before it finally came. This waiter was wearing a silver bracelet on his left wrist and a Skechers T-shirt, and he didn't even come to greet us until we left. He looked like a loser! And they even charged a 4 euro service charge. As for the food, the pizza I ordered tasted like the kind you get in a supermarket—it was awful. The seafood pasta was spoiled and tasted like shit. I advise everyone not to eat at this restaurant. You'll get diarrhea as soon as you get home!
