04/01/2026: La Baita a Scanno is an excellent restaurant to stop at after a day spent in nature. Lunch was delicious and of high quality, featuring traditional local dishes. The arrosticini, in particular, were excellent: well-cooked, flavorful, and truly delicious.
The atmosphere is welcoming and the service courteous, making the experience pleasant and relaxing. It's a recommended place for anyone who wants to sample Abruzzo cuisine in a family atmosphere.

07/01/2026: I've been there a couple of times and it's never disappointed. Each time, the experience has been truly pleasant: the rustic and welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home, with a warm, family atmosphere.
All the dishes we've tried have been excellent, authentic, and well-prepared, and the service is always friendly and attentive, with staff who know how to make you feel at ease.
In short, La Porta is a rustic, authentic, and high-quality restaurant, ideal if you want to enjoy traditional Abruzzo cuisine in a setting that truly makes you feel at home. Highly recommended, without hesitation. 🍝✨

17/01/2026: We visited this restaurant during the Christmas period and also tried the lake fish. Everything was delicious and the service was fast.
10/01/2026: Chosen at random from those found on Maps, it turned out to be an excellent choice. The atmosphere is clean and quaint, the food is plentiful and high-quality, and the prices are fair for the quality.
Family-run, the staff are friendly; they even allowed our Chihuahua in and provided a water bowl.

18/02/2026: Excellent family-run restaurant and pizzeria, serving Abruzzo specialties, a relaxed atmosphere, and reasonable prices. It's perfect for families and even for large gatherings with friends.
Pizza takeout is also available.

22/02/2026: A very quaint place, prices a little above average in my opinion, but the food is good. Any advice? Skip everything and get the veal steak, €20 well spent. Add chicory and a bottle of water, some pizza bianca, and for €27 you've had an excellent, very tasty steak for lunch. The prices for the other items, in my humble opinion, are too high, especially since it's a Sunday, so they serve like a diner. Would I go back? The answer is yes, I would go back for the steak, which was divine. As for the rest, I don't know. Still, a very quaint place.
09/02/2026: I had lunch at the self-service restaurant. The pre-cooked polenta was nothing special, but the sautéed vegetables were excellent. The wait was very short, considering it was Friday. The price for a polenta was €15. Enough for one person.

19/10/2025: Small, family-run restaurant. A few dishes, but very good. Prices are slightly high but acceptable. They might be a bit of a problem if you have a dog and it's not very quiet.
19/10/2025: We discovered La Foce during a stroll through the heart of Scanno, and immediately felt at home. We tried the cazzellitti con le fuoja (a type of pasta) and the sagnette con i fagioli (a type of pasta with beans): extraordinary dishes, prepared with such care and love that you can taste in every bite. Everything is homemade and cooked to order, a true culinary experience!
The atmosphere is warm and familiar, the owners were extremely kind and welcomed us with great warmth. It's clear that a tradition is being carried on here with passion and dedication.
We were delighted and can't wait to return. A must-see for anyone visiting Scanno who wants to enjoy authentic local cuisine.

16/11/2025: Today, where everything travels online, where destinations and places to stop for lunch or dinner are chosen, it's not possible to wait in front of this place waiting for it to open and find out it's closed for holidays, with no communication on the various social networks or most popular pages. I hope that improvements in this aspect can be considered.

Wonderful family-run business, they manage to convey their passion for animals.

02/11/2025: I can't judge the quality of the food because I didn't eat. But the experience wasn't satisfactory. After the horseback ride, some of the group wanted to eat arrosticini, there were 10 of us in total. Only 4 of us ate. Only 4 people were seated; the rest were standing and had brought packed lunches since arrosticini weren't served. Those sitting at the table ordered arrosticini, beer, and a scamorza. The table wasn't set, and no glasses were brought. They were sitting on a picnic bench, but again, only 4 people were seated (also because only those 4 people could fit). A cover charge was charged for everyone. 6 people didn't use any service. The problem isn't the money; a 2 euro cover charge won't change anyone's life (we paid 20 euros cover charge, and 4 of us ate), but I don't think this is the right way to behave. Disappointing.
