05/09/2025: I was in Scanno.... I never managed to book.... On the phone they told me we are full... So book 2 weeks in advance... I didn't manage to do it in a week in Scanno... They told me to show up for the second shift at 9... but with a small daughter I couldn't wait.... So book well in advance

02/09/2025: It's been too many years since I've been. I've been craving it obsessively, and I finally got to enjoy Stefano's pizza again, which for me is something special.
28/08/2025: Excellent pizza: light and tasty. Reservations aren't possible, as the place is small, and there's always a line outside, especially on holidays. It would be helpful to have some sort of waiting list for people waiting outside, as it often gets crowded.

19/07/2025: We discovered Lo Sgabello Ristorante during a trip to Scanno and immediately fell in love! The first thing that strikes you is the kindness and hospitality of the staff: waiters are always smiling, helpful, and ready to passionately recommend the daily specials, making us feel right at home.
The menu is a riot of local flavors: delicious dishes, prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, that showcase Abruzzo's traditions with a touch of originality. The portions? Truly generous! Forget about minimal dishes: here, you eat with gusto and satisfaction.
Another great plus: dogs are welcome on the terrace, where you can dine while enjoying the splendid view of the mountains. An unusual touch that we greatly appreciated.
And the icing on the cake: the quality-price ratio is excellent. You leave with a full belly, a light heart, and a healthy wallet.
Highly recommended for those looking for an authentic, warm, and mouth-watering place!

22/07/2025: I had dinner at this restaurant with my wife. It's just outside the town center but easily accessible on foot. I was immediately impressed by the welcoming staff upon entry, the welcome service at the table with bruschetta and water while waiting to confirm my choice. I was also impressed by the clear menu and the very reasonable prices, yet the quality of the dishes is quite different. I would repeat the experience and recommend it. The local meat main course was excellent, the side dishes were well-made, and the desserts were delicious. The first courses were varied and high-quality.

17/07/2025: We went for lunch. Delicious fresh homemade pasta, cooked and seasoned just right, vegetables from their own garden, excellent lamb, so tender! The tripe was amazing. The atmosphere was simple but spotlessly clean.
Young and friendly staff. Excellent value for money. What can I say, a lovely surprise. We'll definitely be back.

27/08/2025: A place that's nothing special. I can't comment on the food, but I can't comment on the bar. I arrived on a weekday morning around 9:30 a.m. and they'd already sold out of pastries, so I settled for a cappuccino and a biscuit.

28/07/2025: Biscotti buoni anzi ottimi. Ci siamo fermati durante la passeggiata prima di cena e abbiamo acquistato dei biscotti con cioccolato veramente ottimi. Da non tralasciare durante una visita a Scanno.

29/08/2025: Alessandra's place is a little gem in the historic center of Scanno. She's a kind and discreet host. She's available for information and even for pleasant conversations. She even stepped in for an unexpected event. In Abruzzo, I've found a warm welcome, which Alessandra transmits to her guests, along with her love for her homeland.

06/09/2025: We happened upon it by chance for dinner....it's very close to the lake before going up to the village of Scanno... So convenient.... Good food... I took some arrosticini, fried potatoes and a platter of cold cuts... Good value for money, the only flaw inside the room was too many flies... 😳... We dined continuously chasing away the flies.... Everyone complained... A fly even ended up in the water bottle.... In an indoor restaurant, flies are not allowed, come on, put up mosquito nets or do something, it can happen... But a fly farm, no.... You saw everyone at the tables greeting instead of chasing the flies..... Come on guys

04/05/2025: After a wonderful experience on horseback (the first) in the family stables we stayed for dinner in the restaurant. It all made for an unforgettable day of rediscovering nature on horseback and six flavors at the highly recommended restaurant.

28/07/2025: Avremmo voluto cenare qui, ma non è stato possibile. Tutto prenotato tra le 19:30 e le 20:00 e non prenotavano per orari ulteriori. Se volete mangiare prenotate i pochi tavoli per tempo oppure rinunciatevi.
21/07/2025: Trattoria a conduzione familiare, con piatti cucinati al momento, noi abbiamo preso tagliatelle al cinghiale e uno dei piatti del giorno " un polpettone ripieno di verdure prosciutto e formaggi" entrambi buonissimi...patate al forno e antipasto di bruschette varie e sfiziose, e x finire una cheesecake fatta in casa da scegliere in varie varianti, noi abbiamo scelto con Nutella e granella di nocciole, leggera e davvero speciale.
Ringrazio la cordialità della proprietaria e la professionalità ed educazione della ragazza che ci ha servito.
Sicuramente ogni volta che torneremo da queste parti saremo vostri ospiti.
Il prezzo adeguato e meno caro degli altri posti della zona.

17/08/2025: Despite the busy hour and the crowded restaurant, they found us a table very quickly. As soon as we were seated, the staff immediately took our orders, and in less than ten minutes, our dishes were served.
The dishes were truly delicious, with a surprising quality-price ratio. Another plus was the helpfulness and kindness of the staff, who were able to accommodate even special requests with great courtesy.
Highly recommended.
16/08/2025: For the second time in two years that we have been visiting Lake Scanno, we chose this restaurant for lunch, a group of four plus three children in tow, and we were once again confirmed by the good food and the atmosphere, considering the lake view and the terrace where the tables are located. The first courses were good (pappardelle with wild boar ragù was excellent), the meat (the braised beef was exceptional), the side dishes were also good (fresh and plentiful mixed salad), and the desserts were also well-made. Prices were average. Highly recommended if you want to have a good lunch not far from the lake.
