29/12/2024: Nice comfortable place, but overpriced. For me, a sandwich costing €8 just like this can absolutely fit. But a really poor sandwich, that's another thing. Two pieces of cold bread with two slices of salami, €8 is a steal. And then it closes from 12.30pm to 3.30pm and complains about too many people... I'm sorry to leave comments like that but it wasn't a positive experience

26/12/2024: Six of us ate here yesterday (Christmas day), and everything was excellent and plentiful, quality, courtesy and professionalism make this restaurant the ideal place to eat well, congratulations to all the staff from Paolo

25/12/2024: I went to this restaurant with my son on the first snowy Sunday in December and I couldn't have made a better choice. Simple but well-kept trattoria, good food prepared with love for tradition. Nice and kind owner. The prices are not very low but they are fair for the quality of what is served. I would have paid even more. I will return as soon as possible.

25/12/2024: Very small but welcoming and warm place. Delicious food, exceptional cheeses, especially the owner's explanation of the mature cheeses. Top! The pasta was just a little bland with little salt.

11/11/2024: We had the pleasure of having lunch at the Alla Fonte restaurant during our visit to Scanno and it was an unforgettable experience. The owner and all the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. The menu offers a delicious selection of typical local cuisine, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each course was a true journey of flavours, from first courses to desserts, all perfectly balanced and carefully presented. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and familiar, making lunch even more special. I can only recommend Alla Fonte to anyone who finds themselves in Scanno. We can't wait to go back!

30/12/2024: We booked in advance as the place has few tables. Excellent service: super welcoming restaurant owner. We took (among other things): Screppelle m'bosse (in broth, delicious), porcini mushroom soup, artichoke in crust, breaded ribs. 30 euros each including half a liter of wine.

25/12/2024: A mouth-watering lunch! Great food and excellent service! Applause to Dario, professional and very kind! Delicious starters and first courses prepared by expert hands with excellent raw materials! Very very good desserts In short, we absolutely recommend it and can't wait to return!

28/12/2024: Il ristorante la baracca offre cibo veramente molto, ma molto gustoso e sfizioso per il palato e per la lingua. In particolare consigliamo il maialino con contorno di verdure: veramente morbido e saporito. Tuttavia ho deciso di mettere 3 stelle al locale per via dell'inefficiente e inadempiente servizio, troppo ma troppo lento. Posso capire che alcuni piatti possono togliere più tempo di altri, ma vedere il tavolo davanti ricevere le pietanze assai prima di noi è ingiusto e straziante. Il locale è caldo e accogliente, non troppo rumoroso e con un bel caminetto i cui lampilli rilassano la mente e gli occhi. Per riassumere la baracca è un buon locale, ma non andateci mai nei periodi di punta.

28/12/2024: Locale senza dubbio molto bello e curato, cibo buono, ma accoglienza e professionalità assolutamente di basso livello. La prima cosa che ci è stata detta, arrivati alle 12. 45 su prenotazione, è stata che la cucina apriva alle 13 (nonostante due bambini al seguito). Abbiamo ordinato dei crostini di stagione (sul menù non era specificato quali fossero gli ingredienti) e a nessuno è venuto in mente, avendo sempre due bambini al seguito, di avvisarci che erano conditi con aglio, cipolla e vetricina. Indubbiamente buoni, ma non adatti. I tavoli arrivati dopo di noi sono stati serviti prima e al. Momento di sparecchiare il cameriere, con fare un po' scocciato, ci ha chiesto di raccogliere noi tutte le posate. Insomma, se badate all'accoglienza, alla professionalità e alla cordialità NON LO CONSIGLIO.

30/12/2024: Very nice place, with excellent cuisine unfortunately ruined by shameful and absolutely unprofessional service. Reservation made in person the day before. When I arrived the next day the reservation had been lost and the booked table given to other people. I am given a table next to the service desk. After ordering, more than 40 minutes passed without being served, we discovered that our order had been lost. To apologize we are offered a chopping board while waiting for the first courses. Inattentive, unprepared and listless staff, of whom I had to listen to complaints and discussions throughout dinner (the table next to the desk could be avoided). At 10.30pm, with several customers still sitting at the table eating, the organization of tables for the following day began with unpleasant noises of tables being moved, dirty plates and tablecloths being carried here and there under the arm. Finally, rechecking the bill, I realize that the cutting board that was offered to me was also incorrectly included. I hope that these criticisms of mine are taken in a constructive manner by the ownership in order to give their restaurant a service worthy of the level of cuisine.

28/12/2024: Big disappointment. First courses that are barely eatable: a large plate of industrial fettuccine (the kind in a bag) and a large plate of very, very soft gnocchi, an almost tasteless ragù with meat of dubious origin. Chicory thawed and sautéed without a drop of oil, garlic or chilli pepper. The only positive note was the well-cooked lamb on the grill, plentiful and of good quality. But I repeat: it's rare to find such poor first courses in the area; I was shocked above all by the very poor quality of the fettuccine and gnocchi. It wouldn't take much to make some improvements.

04/01/2025: I only ate a mixed starter and an excellent barley and vegetable soup, but the various dishes I saw passing through the room also seemed genuine and tasty.

12/08/2024: A wonderful place with excellent service and exquisite food. It has a terrace from where you can admire a breathtaking view. As I was saying, the staff is courteous and smiling and we ate really well ☺️☺️☺️ I highly recommend
