01/11/2025: A very pleasant and sophisticated atmosphere, everything was of very high quality. The staff was very friendly. One waitress, who even spoke German and was from our region, stood out from the rest of the service team. The food was good, though nothing exceptional. Solid cuisine in a very nice setting.

30/10/2025: Great service, beautiful view, extensive wine list, mediocre at best food. When we walked in, the smell of commercial urinal pads hit us. That should have been our que to leave. We walked up the stairs and were sat in a lovely dining room overlooking the valley. The staff was attentive and kind. The Tuna Tartare was balanced and good. The Octopus was bland and unimaginative. For entrees, the Squid Ink Pasta was one dimensional and bland. How can squid ink not have flavor? The Calamari shaped pasta was super bland (who puts potatoes with pasta?) and the Sea Bass was ok- but artichoke side described as "crunchy" was anything but. I'm laying in bed at 2am still smelling urinal pads in my nostrils. What a bummer and waste of 175 euros. I really do not take pleasure in writing bad reviews.

19/10/2025: I highly recommend removing the online reservation option. Our experience was a complete disaster. We booked online through Google, and upon arrival, we were told the service wasn't available and that the restaurant was fully booked. I understand the potential mix-ups, but I would have expected a different approach, an attempt to resolve the issue, but instead we were kindly escorted out. I recommend future customers call to book; I'm sure they'll have a great experience.

11/09/2025: I was looking for a casual place, not the usual restaurant, and I found this very nice place. We tried a couple of their specialties: the caponata, which was delicious! Then a very good zucchini millefeuille and a platter of cured meats and cheeses. We were very satisfied. Congratulations! Greetings from Lecce!

15/09/2025: We had a lovely outdoor seating on one of the small balconies and had a lovely evening overall. During the meal, we had the impression that it was more show than substance – not a single one of the five courses on the tasting menu (€60) was truly impressive. Almost all of the dishes had dots of the same mustard cream on the plate?!? The service was polite but not warm and not always present.

13/10/2025: I had the curry meatballs. The curry served is similar to Dutch -Kerriesaus uit een pakje-. Most dishes on the menu are frozen products, heated up. (As the symbol on the menu indicates). Music and atmosphere are nice, but the food is not recommended.

07/10/2025: Cool location and great decor. Always busy, but that's understandable given the good food and the great atmosphere...and while you wait for your food, there's a game to pass the time --> put your phone away!

09/11/2025: On the way back from visiting the Valley of the Temples, we stopped for lunch. Very good pizzas and a warm welcome.

08/11/2025: I absolutely do not recommend this place. Two hours of waiting for a very disappointing meal. The pasta was swimming in grease, and I had trouble digesting it all night. The staff was unpleasant and completely unprofessional. In short, avoid it, especially if you're not from the area.

02/11/2025: The food was fabulous and exceptionally tasty, I highly recommend it, and the atmosphere was extremely inviting. The beer selection is also first-class. If you are in the area... 16/10/2025: The pasta and catch of the day (Pesce dei giorno) were excellent! Very good wines. I'd be happy to go back anytime!

16/09/2025: Dinner for 4 people last night and a big disappointment. The setting is nice, the waiters do their job with a smile, but the food is unworthy of the price and expectations: a tuna tartare without any seasoning (you might as well eat plain fish at home), bland and flavorless main courses. We had the impression that everything lacked love, technique and especially taste. Too bad, because the place deserves better, but here it is clearly the food that is letting everything down.

18/09/2025: Welcoming and friendly staff. Tasty and well-filled pizzas. I recommend it.

20/08/2025: Ordered 2 pizzas for home delivery, at 8:30 PM they told us they would arrive at 9:15 PM, at 10:30 PM they delivered the pizzas even with the wrong ingredients. I promised myself I wouldn't buy anything from them again because the same situation happened three years ago. IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO MANAGE BOOKINGS, you should leave it alone and not fool people. I understand that every rejected order is a waste of money, but for you it's not an exception, it's the rule. The fooling is what bothers you the most. We called the restaurant and they promised us every 20 minutes that the pizzas were already out for delivery, trying to block the order if it hadn't already been fulfilled. PEOPLE ARE TOO SMART and greedy.

02/10/2025: This was our second trip to Menfi and staying with Planeta. The first at La Forsteria and this time and their sweet Country House. Both were lovely. The service is impeccable, the food outstanding, the cooking class a blast, and the location/setting perfect. A shout out to Giuseppe who took care of our every need and the breakfast attendants that greeted each morning with our Americana coffee at first sight. Will be back!

17/09/2025: A fantastic experience! Relaxing atmosphere, impeccable hospitality (thank you, Giuseppe!), and excellent service. Don't miss the "call wine" dinner featuring high-quality local products. The convivial atmosphere at the large table is perfect for mingling with other guests and tasting Planeta's excellent wines. We'll definitely be back.
