12/06/2026: While searching for a good, yet down-to-earth restaurant in Malcesine, we stumbled upon this exceptional place. First, I must mention that anyone looking only for Italian classics like pizza and pasta won't find them here. However, anyone wanting to broaden their culinary horizons and experience what is typically eaten in Italy will find exactly what they're looking for here. As usual, we ordered the house red wine and a bottle of water. The wine is highly recommended. For starters, we shared the three different kinds of bruschetta. One was topped with pesto and burrata, another with tomato and mozzarella, and one with grilled vegetables. The starter alone was absolutely delicious. For my main course, I had the slow-braised pork tenderloin with peppercorn sauce, Mediterranean vegetables, and mashed potatoes. My wife ordered the lightly seared tuna steak from the daily specials menu (which features two different dishes each day in addition to the regular menu), also with Mediterranean vegetables and spinach. During and after the main course, we were simply happy. I think these dishes might not be Michelin-starred, but they go straight to the heart, and that, in my opinion, is worth so much more. The wonderful ambiance in a charmingly decorated courtyard also deserves mention. The excellent service was equally outstanding; everyone went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful evening.

04/06/2026: A beautiful little retreat at 600 meters altitude, right next to the mid-station with a breathtaking view of Lake Garda. The food is excellent and the rooms are beautifully renovated. The hosts cater to every need, and we will definitely remember this hotel as our favorite place and will certainly return.

20/05/2026: The restaurant is rated as very nice, with a great view and ambiance, but the zucchini fritters, for example, at almost twenty euros, are in my opinion extremely and disproportionately overpriced.

03/06/2026: A beautiful restaurant right on Lake Garda, very friendly and quick service, delicious food (we had bruschetta and two different pasta dishes) at a fair price, and to finish we were offered complimentary limoncello. We would gladly come again.

03/06/2026: Spectacular location with a breathtaking lake view, especially at sunset. At first glance, it might seem like a touristy place, but the quality of the food quickly belies this impression. The bigoli with sardines and the grilled trout are excellent, with generous portions and quality ingredients. The service is courteous and professional, despite some minor language barriers. Prices are high, but absolutely in line with the location and the experience offered. A place that still evokes the charm of La Dolce Vita. We will definitely return.

08/10/2025: We've been eating here for almost 30 years. The food is excellent. The staff is very friendly, it's a family business. We'll definitely be back, although not this year, as it's currently closed for the winter.

02/06/2026: A charming location on the beach at the base of the Castle. The view from the veranda is spectacular. Elegant restaurant with refined, attentive cuisine. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Arrived by mistake, but bookmarked.

31/05/2026: Top location! Attentive but not intrusive service. We had two tasty and rich first courses. The wine selection was excellent. The price was right for the location. It's a shame we can't return. Nice place!

15/06/2025: We received a very warm welcome and were able to communicate well in English. Great prices, extremely delicious pizza! It tasted fantastic!

21/05/2025: The price-performance ratio is good. We ordered lasagna, pizza, and schnitzel, all very tasty. The cost for food and drinks was around €10-20 per person. With an appetizer, it would be €20-30.

07/04/2026: Stopped by for an Aperol and enjoyed an authentic Italian experience. The staff were very friendly and the location perfect. The fact that Italians were also enjoying a meal and espresso ☕️ made the experience that much nicer. Can recommend stopping in for a snack and drinks.

02/04/2026: Great café with a really lovely atmosphere! ☕️✨ Café Malcesine impresses with its very friendly service, delicious coffee, and a small but excellent selection of cakes and dishes. The relaxed atmosphere is especially inviting; perfect for a short break or a cozy get-together. You can tell that they put love into what they do here. Highly recommended! :-)
